I have a Cingular 8125, and for some reason the Green Phone button to dial, and the Red phone button to hangup have stopped working. Would anyone know of a fix to this issue?

After playing around, I figured it out.. but for anyone else that might have this issue Here's what I found to be the problem.
I had IPBlue's Cisco Callmanager softphone installed, I un-installed it and presto ! the buttons worked again !!!

Seems to me that pressing button on my BT headset does not activate Voice Dialer properly. I can't hear confirmation sound and it just stuck in Voice Dialre screen. That only hapenes when device in standby mode. When it's ON - everything is fine. Anyone got the same problem?

I had the same thing. I hard reset and the same again . Its a s if the K-Jam does not wake quick enough from standby. I found if I clicked the button once , left it then clicked the button aagin it worked. This is in the known problems for the SP5 but not in the Jam... Email sent :wink:

The buttons on my wizard suddenly went dead, not even scrolling works anymore. It must have been some software I installed, but I dont know which. When I recive calls the buttons seem to work thou. The phone buttons light up and I´m able to hang up using the red one. But not recive calls with the green one.
I have WA2 WAD, PhoneAlarm, TotalCommander, MagicButton, Smartkey, omapclock and some others. Is there so way I managed to switch them off myself by accident or whats going on? Contemplating a hard reset.
Anyone else seen this problem?

I have a simular problem: sometimes my phone buttons don't seem top work anymore. In fact they do work, but my Phone screen doesn't appear anymore. After pressing some other hardkeys and starting some other applciations the screen reappears again... Anyone had the same problem (or better: a solution)?
This is my first post and I must say that this is a great group of people who know what they are talking about!
Anyways, I have had my 8525 for about two weeks and I am loving it. For whatever reason some of my buttons do not work! The dpad works but the two soft buttons, the start button, ok button, email, PIE, and the green and red buttons don't work. The power, scroller, comm manager, the left ok button and the PTT all DO work. I did a hard reset hoping that would fix it but no luck. I been installing and trying a lot of programs but I thought after the hard reset that any program that screwed this up would be gone. Please help I love this phone and really don't want to take it back.

My hermes has a similar problem, buttons under the screen sometimes won't work, but if I turn off backlight and turn on, it works... but not very well because if I press green button then red button continually, buttons don't work again after few pressions....
I have changed my ROM but it's the same, it isn't a hardware problem because if I turn the scroll it works again...
This problem is known?

Exactly the same problem here and it's infuriating when I'm trying to make calls on the run and sometimes I can't even pick up calls.
I have an I-mate Jasjam ROM 1.31.305.2.
If anyone has any fixes or solutions that would be great. Or do I have to send it in for repair or something?
So has anyone managed to fix this? Anyone tried a hard reset?
I have no idea how to diagnose the issue and even whether it's a software or hardware fault.

I'm also having these problems with the front buttons not working. Very frustrating. The problems seem to be platform independent.
I really cannot believe this. When I used the search function I noticed so many people are having these problems with the TyTN, and no resolve.
It's my second machine I received from HTC, first one also had these problems.
HTC sucks BIGTIME.
Sometimes when my topaz is off, it won't turn back on or wake up. I know this isn't a problem with the button because it also doesn't respond to phone calls or charging. The only way to fix it is to reset it by pressing the red button. This is really frustrating since I will miss calls etc. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Please Help!

ive found that taking the stylus out SOMETIMES works...but as Bruce correctly said...ROM issue.

I installed Windows Phone 7 yesterday on my HD2. I works like a charm, except when I'm about to end a call. It simply wont work. I have tried many different combinations, but it wont hang (the ****) up!! It seems like the "lock-screen sensor" wont unlock the screen.
Anyone know what I could do to fix this annoying problem?

I don't get it, won't it hang up when you press the "end call" button? It can be a bit sluggish, but works on the second click, if nothing else. Or you can map your Call button with a keymap so it ends calls.
