Best price for Prophet - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

What is the best price for this thing?
on http://www.mobilejoker.com the O2 XDA neo goes for 417 Euros.
Including UK delivery and cash-on-delivery charge, it comes to 472.00 EURO =£ 327.955.
However, the XDA neo is not currently in stock.
The Qtek S200 goes for 462.80 Euros.
Including the UK delivery charge and the cash-on-deliver charge, it'll come to 517 EURO = £359.305.

Cash-on-delivery charge: For some reason, mobilejoker doesn't accept credit/debit card payments.
You can either pay by
1. Bank trasfer at the time of purchase
2. Cash-on-delivery (hand the cash over to the delivery person)
UK banks will did allow me to transfer funds to German banks for free (even though Germany are in the EU). The offered to charge me £25 for that service. Therefore I chose to pay by Cash-On-Delivery.
The benefit of this is that I have my money until I have my order. This reduces risk for me.

XDA2 £199 @ O2 Shop

I saw that the local O2 shop was selling XDA2s for £199 plus data and voice contract, or £299 with data only contract.
Is that the cheapest around?
hi m8,
did you notice how much the contract costs per month???

I don't think there was a restriction on what contract you had to get.
But I've been in 2 other O2 shops since then, they are still doing the old price of £299 for voice and data.
The O2 shop that was selling for £199 is at the lakeside shopping mall.
thanks for that m8...
I was hoping it was nationwide
how do they get away with just one shop selling them at that price????
my local o2 is elling them for £299 and a min £25 per month contract...
Zetex
O2 will price match, so at least you can get it for £250 if you mention that this is what "The Link" sells them for. This was on the £25/month contract, but you can change this after 3 months, e.g. dropping to the £15/month contract so you will still save!
shhh! Its got to be http://shop.uplands.co.uk/acatalog/O2_XDA_2.html (if only to price match!). £169 for data+_voice at £30 per month.
ive just got my xda 11 from uplands £169 and £35 a month, that's as cheap as i could find on the 250 tarif
xda price
uplands definitely seems the cheapest around
i got mine for £99 incl vat but that's a line rental of £75 pcm although if you are a big user that's the best value around as it allows a 1000 mins anytime anynetwork, 50 texts and free voicemail. Besides you can change it to any tariff you want after 4 months
i found Carlene Gildea v helpful on 0800 389 3000 ext 319 or 01792 481 319
Airlandata: £199+vat, £13 pcm, "best for business" tariff.
Works for me
The price collapse for the XDA2 seems to have happened a lot quicker than for the XDA1.... does that mean no one is buying?
Strangely the prices are going up on ebay, I think there is a shortage of units or something.
most of the shops in my town did,nt have the xda 2 in stock, about 5 phone shops were waiting for them to come in.the o2 shop had 2 in stock but they were £299 on the 250 tarif
£199.99 in O2 stores nationwide no minimum contract!
Hi all,
Just thought i'd let you all know that the O2 XDA 2 is available nationwide in all O2 stores for £199.99, so long as you take a voice and data tariff.
The voice calling plans start at £15 per month (yes - it really can be this low), and data can be on a pay as you use scheme (known as O2 Data Sense) so there is no monthly charge for data.
With the Data Sense pay as you use scheme the more data you send and receive the cheaper the price per MB becomes.
There are other data tariffs availble which come with an inclusive amount of data, if you want to know more about these, an O2 shop will be able to give you some info.
By the way, as far as i'm aware, the majority of shops have the XDA II in stock at the moment.
Mike
Yep I just got my XDA II for £199 from o2 shop with a £15 a month tariff, I had been holding out for the price drop and just using my XDA.
Can someone please tell me which software/hardware version I should have, are there some older versions still doing the rounds and how do I find the details of mine?
many thanks
rich
My local o2 shop (Hanley shopping centre near Stoke-on-Trent) is also selling for 199.99 with voice and data tariff - the o2 website is still showing 349.99!
just got my xda II 199 pounds + 15 pounds contract
So happy
Can someone confirm this price of £199.99 for the O2 XDA II is correct. I've contacted O2 at Bluewater, Lakeside and they stated that the price was £299.99 - no matter what tariff.
So.....what O2 stores are selling the XDAII at £199.99 ????
Cheers
Nutz
The O2 store in Ilford has them @ £199 on any contract, but not in stock I really wanted to get the XDA II as i currently have an ipaq 5450 + t610 on t-mobile. Uplands seem very sure of their stock availability so i will be calling them today but as i want it on thr £16pm tariff i dont think they will help. I will try to go into O2 store as well, i can check ilford/romford & lakeside and will post findings...
The £199 seem to be in every O2 shop, however, I have been to Stoke, Chester, Manchester and Lancaster and none of them have any stock. The guy in Chester said that there is also no stock in 4 other local stores. Does anyone know where there is some stock in an o2 shop.
p.s. Uplands are not selling it for 199, the cheapest is 269 I think.
Hi,
As far as I was aware, the O2 Shop selling XDAII's at £199 was only for February and they are now back to £299 (the same as O2 Online). No matter what price they are, you will be very lucky to get one.. !!!! I live in Dartford and have called almost every O2 Shop in Kent / Essex and there are none
Rgds,
Rob.

where can i buy a xda2 with a low price? o2 or the-link...?

where can i buy a xda2 will be the cheapest ? o2 or the-link...?
i want to buy one !
Thanks!
I got a quote from carfone last week of £150 but it would have to be posted from their warehouse. O2 wanted £250 but pricematched the other quote so I bought it there and then. 250 minute tarif £35pm.

oic !
how long did it post from their warehouse?
and then this one is it the cheapest?
my gues is to look for a combination of XDA / MDA / etc with a tariffplan.
Bought my MDAII in The netherlands for 172 euro's together with a T-Mobile 150 (minutes/month) tariffplan (that costs 22,50 euro per month).
Sounded better to me than 850 euro for the device alone.
Only setback is the sim-lock, but hey: Solved that with the available tools here at xda-developers.
I got mine from OneStopPhoneShop.co.uk back in February for £155 on O2 200 (£30 minimum for first 4 months, then downgradable after 4th month) which i think is very cheap to say that at the time, it was £299 in the O2 shop and £349 online !
Prices for XDAII with new contract (with data, but no minimum tariff) or upgrade have been reduced from 250£ to 180£ in my local (hammersmith) O2 shop.
UPDATE: Didn't read the fine print: Minimum contract O2 100

O2 SHOPS HAVE NO EXEC IN STOCK

I WANT 2 GET THE O2 EXEC ON UPGRADE
BUT NO O2 SHOP IN EAST LONDON HAS ANY
I RANG O2 CUSTOMER SERVICES ABOUT THIS AND ASKED IF I CAN ORDER IT ONLINE, THEY SED YES BUT U'D HAVE 2 PAY £239 (INSTEAD OF £150 IF I UPGRADE IN A O2 SHOP) IF U DO IT ON THE FONE OR NET
IS IT JUST ME OR ARE O2 JUS PLAIN STUPID?
Go to the O2.co.uk shop online and order one for 139.99 on any contract. It's amazing how many different prices they've got for it every time you ring them!

any1 know if any o2 shop in london has any exec's in stock?
I got mine on an upgrade - £220 but £10 off my monthly bill. Works out at £100 for the phone over the year.
I did mention it the sales lady that I can get it on a new contract for £140 and she offered the money off the tariff then.
I doubt if they sell at all in shops. I tried Ox street but they didn't have it. I bought mine online. Check if it is in stock before bying online, they don't do PRE-ordering stuff.
cheers
Nirvana
They have plenty.
Just picked one up in Reading today to replace my JASJAR which I am selling.
They said they had 6 in stock.
 rilot
being one who has been deliberating for the past few days whether to buy the O2 Xda Exec or the JasJar
(as far as I see - the Exec's benefit being its looks and much lower cost Vs the better and more frequent firmware updates of the JasJar) -- could you please share the benefits of your knowledge and experience as to WHY you are replacing one model with the other
thanks
@techdot,
the Exec is £100 cheaper SIM free than the JJ, that's a good reason I think!
techDot
My main reason is that I can sell the JASJAR for approx £550 which pays off my Vodafone contract.
O2 have excellent data bundles such as the one I'm on which is 75MB/month for £18.
Overall, the total cost of ownership is considerably lower with the XDA Exec and an O2 contract in my situation.

MDA Pro or MDA Vario for sale

I'm about to sign a new contract with T Mobile and can get either a Vario or (for £150 more) another Pro.
So, I'll get whichever will make me the most money. Anyone interested in either? Please PM me your price. It'll be a very one-sided arrangement, however.
Paypal only :?
Will ship anywhere
Except Nigeria :x
Once payment has cleared
You can have it unopened, still with the seal on the box, or I can open it to test it for you
I will be buying this either the end of this week or Monday/Tuesday next week
If you want some level of buyer protection, I'll list it on ebay with a buy-it-now, but that'll add £25 quid to cover the fees + hassle.
I'm told T Mobile will unlock the unit after 1 month for a fee (around £15 or £20). If this is the case, I am happy to get the unlock code and pass it on at cost. If this is NOT the case, my MDA Pro is unlocked - make me an offer I can't refuse for it and i'll keep the locked unit
I wish you were getting an O2 Exec, so I can bid for it.
I like the color of the O2 Exec than the MDA Pro.

Hi,
Can u pls tell me the exact price with shipping and insurance included to India....I am interested....
For shipping, take a look at
http://sg.royalmail.com/servlet/acedispatcher?funcId=100&AceApplication=consignia&pageId=frameset
I'll insist on a signiture on delivery and onm £500 insurance.
Assuming India, Major Towns 1, and also assuming 1.3Kg (it should be less than that) between £11 and £30 depending on speed of service (air or surface mail).
I will use other major carriers, but only if they have a depot in Norwich, England.
Just had it confirmed that I will be able to get whichever handset I purchase unlocked to work with sims from any network, although this may take up to 28 days to receive. I could sell the mda pro I'm using right now, which is unlocked, if someone needs one urgently
Willing to sell my XDA Exec.
------edited-----
Same goes for my exec. Its boxed, sealed, never opened. Actually was purchased as a gift for my brother. He Liked mine so I bought another for him. Turns out he doesn't want it. So i'm stuck with a boxed one. Any takers?
£500 with full papers. Though I think it comes with UK/Europe limited warranty. Atleast mine did.
i'm selling a brand new mda pro with all the paperwork 2 make the warrenty valid for £500

Need info for buying from UK / CarPhoneWareHouse

Hi,
We can pre-order now from CarPhoneWareHouse:
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/NEXUS-S-FROM-GOOGLE?intcmp=hp-hp-bnr-v1-1163
If you live in UK and familiar with CarPhoneWareHouse, please if you can answer my questions because I might be able to get one from there
(1) What is that "Pay as You Go"? Is it mobile operator related? Because if I click that option, it asks me to choose mobile operator package. But the price is for without contract.
If I get this, can I use it with my current mobile operator in The Netherlands?
(2) What are the options to send package from UK to The Netherlands? and How much cost (estimation)?
I need this to calculate how much money should I transfer to my contact in UK including shipping
(3) Do you think we can walk in to CarPhoneWareHouse store to buy directly instead of pre-order? Or is this pre-order only?
Thanks a lot! I cannot wait to get Nexus S!
Regards,
Gogol
Pay as you go, is when you have a SIM card, which isn't on a contract, attached to a mobile operator - and you "top up" the sim card with money before you use it. You are better off just buying the "SIM FREE" option here http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/NEXUS-S-FROM-GOOGLE/HANDSET/.
As for shipping, it depends who you use, just check out some of the mail company in the UK to get an estimate. I don't know about Netherlands, but there could be taxes which have to be paid in addition to the shipping costs.
You can only pre-order until they have stock instore, which will be after 20th December.
