Hi all, I would like to ask how can we turn on my HD without press the power bottom. I hope just press the volume bottom to turn on the screen.
Do you mean wake up from sleep or turn on from power off?
Yes, it's very simple : get out the stylus and *voila*, your HD is ready to work

How do you do this in practice? Some kind of regedit tool?

Yes you need a tool to edit the registry.
There are free one's you can download (Google pocketpc registry editor) but I use the one that comes with Resco Explorer.

Sorry, found the way.
wouldnt it be usefull to somehow use the gsensor to wake it? Like shaking.
Your talking, the screen goes black, you need to see the screen and shakes it hard 2 times right in the middle of conversation.
Would it be possible?

This is great tip especially if you combine it with S2U2 "Slide to unlock"
Turn on using "Home"
Could you tell me how can we turn on HD press "Home" button ?

Miland, any ideas on how HTC control the hardware 'Home button' in the registry? I've been wading through for hours trying to find something as I want to do something similar and "unbind" the key. I previously used AEButtonPlus, but the Home key isn't in the list of configurable buttons on that application, I've emailled the author obviously.
So I thought a brute force approach of changing the registry entry would be the way, but finding it isn't easy!

Is there any way to make, that first press of any button just wake up device without anny action? Like power key.
Thanks! It works perfect.
Now the power button use is minimal
After I installed the S2U2 the volume buttons no longer work like they did. I just can´t change the volume settings with them, anyone with the same problem?
In S2U2 settings turn "Don´t use keyboard hook" on and turn S2U2 volume control off. Works fine for me, after having the same problem you are experiencing....

Same problem! These settings do not solve the problem for me!
Well it worked for me and my HD
Many thanks, I was getting crazy with Volume control.
Thanx
Worked for me as well!

Strange...
If i hit a volume button, the volume screen pops up correctly, and I can change the volume with my finger on the display.
But if hitting any volume button again, the display reverts back to the home-screen instead of changing the voume.

would be interesting to find the cab to be included in the original volume icon shortcuts, with the original version you could activate the vibration by holding down the button end of the conversation for a few seconds
press down power button for a while and choose ringer or silent mode
Is any way to disable vibration during alarms?
The bottom right settings button, vibrate when ringing ?
yeah sure I didn't see that button
