First of al, I introduce myself, my name is Javi from Spain, and I´m very glad of being a member of this forum. I´m thinking about buying a jasjar with vodafone as operator which calls it Wireless PDA 1640. I have found out that the Englsih version ROM of this phone edition is better in general aspects than th one in Spanish, so, I´d like to change it, but don´t know how, .... any help?
I would really appreciate any help.

Just today I bought a new XDA IIi from Germany (O2). I know only little German (I'm not a German), so I need to change the operating system/software to English. My vendor told me it is possible (but not how!!).
Could you please help me to change everything from German to English, I'll be grateful to you.

I have the reverse problem. I just replaced a stolen 6515 in Amsterdam with a Dutch 6915. I thought it would be easy to change it to english ...WRONG! Now I'm sitting here with hp telling me there's NOTHING to do about it and these forums all seem to either confirm or confuse. Does ANYONE know if a Dutch 6915 can be successfully changed to english? Truly KNOW it can. Thanks DK

This is not possible
Windows Mobile firmwares with TouchScreen are "mono langage".
The only way to change the langage is to flash an other firmware with a Gold Card.

thanks guys, both,... figured this out but was misled by orange france who specifically told me through 'online' help, in writing that it was possible to change the language,... you can change the 'region' but not the language, and, i just read that the 'goldcard' does not work with orange france,...
this is getting complicated,...! i have 4-other htc devices, 2 of them from orange, and it was a breeze to change everything,... now, you have to be a 'rocket scientist' which i am not,...

I am also searching for a german OEM Vodafone-ROM. It is really hard to find. Bad luck choosing a Vodafone-device... T-Mobile and O2-ROMs are available everywhere
