Prophet GMS antenna location - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

I have an irritating problem with my new Prophet (JAMin).. everytime the phone rings while in the belt pouch and I reach for it, it disconnects the call, sending the caller to my voicemail instead. Haven't had any such issues when the phone was on the table and so. Where is the antenna located? I might be masking it with my hand and will adapt a new way to take out the phone if that's needed..
Thanks.

I doubt that.
What probably happens is that you're somehow hitting the red "end call" button in the process of taking it out.

Button lock question, please be gentle with me

Hi Guys.
I had a quick search for this but other than posts about the button lock "when off" thing, which I have enabled, I can't find a fix for this, what I consider to be, bug/fault/failing.
The thing which really really gripes with me is the dumb buttons all around the edges of the Universal. Sure, when the phone is off, they are disabled, but what about when the phone rings ?
I grab the phone but have to try to dance around any and all buttons because as soon as it gets a call it wakes and the buttons become live.
I've had to forget having the phone in it's case (I tried a krussell case for it but it stresses the screen hinge) because you have to wail away on the keys in order to get the thing out the case.
I could assign the functions of the buttons to <none> but it kinda negates them even being there.
A way to disable them when off and also on call receipt would be just the ticket.
gee, I really hate this aspect and if I lose another call I swear I'll throw it out the window.
I dont really understand your concerns.
I use button lock, and they do lock without a problem.
When my phone rings, the phone call buttons are active to accept or decline.
I also use the krussel case and didnt find any hinge stress, and had easy access to the answer and hangup buttons located on the hinge. mind use, i usually keep the clam closed so i had not problem accessing any of the buttons, ever.
I have also extended the ring time from the 10second default to the 30 second maximum available, so I am not in any rush to answer the phone in the first place, and dont need to visually see who is calling as I accept all incoming calls, or decline all incoming despite who it is. so simply pressing the green button located on the hinge is easy.
so alas, I dont understand your problem.
But when your phone rings, the other external buttons are also active, camera etc. So, when dragging the phone out of a pocket or it's case, you are almost bound to catch one of those butons or, as has happened, the Red call-end button on the side.

I tested this on mine and whilst you are right about the buttons being active, the phone answer/ignore window stayed foremost regardless. In my case i tested a button I have assigned to notes and the notes window appeared underneath the call window.
As with previous comments I really don't see the issue as anything more than trivial, especially considering the buttons size and pressure required to activate it. Perhaps someone will (or has) write a little utility to disable the buttons except for the phone answer/ignore. In the meantime I wouldn't worry about it.
Using a SPV M5000 and keep it in the leather/elastic holster provided with the phone, and have the same problem with loosing calls whilst extracting the phone from the holster. My rings before going to answer service is set at 30 secs, and that makes no difference.
Just need to find a decent case which doesn't interfere with any of the buttons.

You could try this case. I loved my previous xda2 case and this is the closest I could get with a belt clip. Phone rings, I unclip, check the green (middle) phone button, press and answer. Finish and press red (end) phone button and reclip.
BTW I'm not at all related to the vendor.

Internet Explorer Annoyance

Hi Guy's
I am getting annoyed with Internet Explorer. It keeps opening when I recieve a call. As I end the call there is a pop up box asking if I want to connect. I allways say no and then close IE. Does anybody know how to stop IE doing this as it is a pain. I only want to open it when I want to go on the internet and not on almost every call.
TIA
this could be a dumb question, but are you accidentally pressing the IE button with your cheek when you make a call?
Maybe not such a dumb question, considering where the button is it is possible the when i put the phone to my ear it does touch my cheek without my noticeing it. I will experiment.
if it is the case is ther a way to dissable that button
TIA
I cannot imagine that is the case; you have to press the button pretty hard (on my device anyway); I think you would hurt your ear or at least hear the "click" if you happen to accidently pressing the device that hard to the ear.

believe it or not there have been multiple TyTN users that never noticed the top rocker button... and there have been more than a few complaints about IE and Mail starting in the middle of a conversation...
coincidence? Methinks not...
My TyT sometimes srarts up IE for no apparent reason... ummm... Holy Crap! That bar over the lights is a rocker button? Crap, I've been using this thing for over three weeks and never knew about it. Thought the drawn on icons were just to represent the lights (internet happens to be above the WiFi light). Wonder how I missed that, considering I have read the entire instruction booklet.
Hi Guy's
Well I have solved my problem with IE, as goestoeleven pointed out I could be pressing the "WnW" button by mistake. Well I had a call today which I did not put the phone to my face but used the speaker, yep it still did it.
The problem I found was not to me pressing the button on the phone but putting it into the case supplied with the phone. As you can see the buttons are slighly raised (this does not help).
Every time I put the phone into the case, because the lid has two strong magnets it slaps shut quite hard. This force causes the button to be pushed in and thereby starting IE. This tends to happen mainly if the screen is facing out.
I thought it was every time I answered a call that IE started but it was already on from the last time I put it in the holster.
To resolve this make sure the screen is facing inward so the magnets are on the back, this should reduce the impact.
But!!! I supposed if you have the phone on the holster and nock into something this cauld also trigger IE.
It would have been better if the button were recessed then it would not happen.
I hope this will solve this issue for some of you at least
P.S. This will might also answear the "Mail" starting on its own as the button is also on the same rocker although this has not happend to me...

broken call button

I own a titan, as does my father and my brother. All three of us have now had the call button (green phone button you push to have the phone actually dial the number) stop working. This must be a reasonably common issue, because while we're not lucky, we're not THAT unlucky. I'm wondering if anybody has tried to open up the phone and fix this issue, and if so, how difficult was it? Has anybody else experienced this? It's really a pain in the rear because most of the dialers expect you to be able to push that button to actually call, and I can't.
mine isnt broken but i do have to push it rather hard to get it to register, if i push it quickly it doesnt register.
that's how it started for each of us, i'd be surprised if yours didn't break altogether in a while
Who is your provider. If you have insurance it should be covered.
My call button is broken as well. I simply put a phone button on my M2D launcher and use the PDG Touchflo dialer.

if its not really broke broke, like the others stated (pushing hard for it to register)
try this
get some 70+% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, turn your phone off, and with a dripper (i used a mc D's straw) drip the solution on the button and get it underneath it, then hit the button some time to get the rubbing alcohol worked in.
let it dry for a few minutes till its evaporated then boot it back up and see how it works.
some have reported on other sites (not here as far as i know?) that dirt and debris gets underneath the contact pads. this helps, but its not a full on solution. the other solution would be to strip the phone to the buttons and clean the pads that way as well, however, if you had any insurance or warranty that would be void depending on your Wireless provider

[Q] Caller can't hear me when screen fades with bluetooth

I have an HTC HD2 on TMobile and for some reason when bluetooth is being used (plantronics voyager) the instant the screen fades to save power the caller no longer hears me and thinks he's lost the phone connection. But, I can still hear him...hello? hellloooo? If I'm near the phone and wake the screen up by pressing a button, then they can hear me again. I've put a lot of time in setting up my phone and trying new apps and don't want to start from scratch.
Anyone have any registry changes that might help or other solution?
Thanks.
"How can I get hot water that's Ready and at Temp at sinks and showers using an htc hd2?"
ANSWER: Start your browser app on your htc hd2 and search for "hot water optimizer control box"

S7 Edge Receive Call in Pocket

If the phone is in my pocket when a call comes in, apparently the screen comes on, and then it's hard to get the phone out of my pocket without either answering of rejecting the call. Usually, the call is rejected by the time I get the phone out of my pocket, though yesterday I accepted a call while retrieving the phone too.
Is something wrong with my phone? I never had this problem with other devices.
It could be that the screen shouldn't be coming on in my pocket, but it could also be that the accept/reject buttons shouldn't be displayed while the phone is pocketed. Either one would work.
Sometimes the phone rings and rejects before I can even react to it, so I don't think I'm hitting the power button, for example.
Okay, found a post elsewhere about turning off single tap in accessibility settings. We'll see how that works.
