MMS Inbox - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Mayby its a dumb question, but where's my MMS Inbox?
I've got the new Imate ROM and installed a few T-Mobile NL CABS, al the connection settings are there, even the MMS settings (I checked them with the settings on the T-Mobile site), but I can't send or receive MMS messages. I only see the SMS and Outlook inbox, no MMS Inbox.

I also had that problem, and could only rectify it by hard reset and allow the extended rom to re-install.
i tried installing the cabs manually, tried downloading previous fixes, all to no avail.
you may also find that you cannot create a pop account for simple email, mine always failed on step 4.
alas, i cannot tell you anything else but to hard reset and allow the full rom to install.... sorry.

What extended ROM do you have?

latest released version from imate.
i used the original, then the beta sneaked release, then the current.
the original caused hiccups, but there was a patch, but the patch didnt work on the most recent released version.
Rom 1.30.76
ExtRom 1.30.164
Radio 1.09

Tnx, i'll give it a shot...

K-JAM MMS Configuration

I have posted this over at MoDaCo but i thought i would give it a go here as well.
I stupidly installed MS Global Contact Access (GCA) for PPC on my K-JAM to see if it would work (which it did) but it has caused other problems so i had to uninstall it. This is probably due to MS still not releasing a WM5 compatible version of GCA.
Now, when i open the messaging app and select "MMS Configuration" from the menu instead of the MMS Configuration screen it opens a New Meeting request.
Would anyone know how i can get my MMS config back without a hard reset? Is the setup for MMS in one of the cabs in the extended ROM or is it built into the main System ROM
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris
You can download a cab file from club imate for mms, sms settings.
If you know how to access your Ext ROM, you can have a look there and 'guess' the CAB that is resposible for the MMS settings. It should fix the problem.

No MMS folder

Hi folks,
I have recently removed all the o2 rubbish by doing a hard reset and then resetting before the rubbish is installed. I have sorted my GPS and MMS settings but I think the problem is that I do not have an MMS folder...
EG - if I go to an image and ask it to be sent by MMS then nothing happens - I am told I should have a similar setup to SMS - ie Inbox, Outbox, Sent etc - but these do not appear... Also, I have been sent vations MMS messages and they have never arrived.
Can anyone assist or do I really have to load the o2 crap?
Here you go: copy this to your My Documents folder on your Wizard, then tap it to install the fix. Worked perfectly for me.
Thanks
Worked wonders - cheers for that mate!
didnt work for me
suggestion
Use a registry editor (I like RegEditCE) to change the following keys:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/MMS/UserCannotCreate = 0
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/MMS/UserCanCreate = 1
After this you should be able to go into Outlook and add an MMS account like any other email account. You will need to know the proper settings, though.
Worked for me.
I have the exact same problem as the original user. I am using the latest Qtek 9100 rom.
CAB doesn't work.
I tried the registry change you mentioned but it only allows me to add email addresses and not MMS folder.

Hi all,
I believe that the issue was something to do with either Sprite Backup (restore across ROM upgrade) or not allowing the extended ROM to fully install when I upgraded ROMS.
Anyways, I just did a hard reset, allowed the device to complete everything on its own and the MMS folder appeared and worked.
Thanks for all the help.
same here. i had to hard reset after a back operation just ***** my mda.
don't know why or how...it just did.

not finding mms on my jamin

ok have searched around and i have the settings for the mms for cingular. but when i choose switch accoutns its not listed in there. i only have sms and outlook email. I just loaded the cingular cab as well which iw as sure i already had the cab installed. anyway how can i get that loaded or working. and yes i have searched around and cant find the answer.
TIA
never mind. forgot i didnt install any of the crap on the rom upgrade. and had to install it from the rom2 files.
basicly i installed default_mp_mmsautodisco and default_mp_shortcut_mms
hey, you might be messing the ExtROM on your device that is supposed to include the MMS composer. go to start settings system and device info to read the ROM and ExtROM versions. if the ExtROM doesn't show then you nead to hard reset the device and if it doesn't show re install the upgrade.

MMS Help

I hard reset my Wizard (Mini S - XDA)
BUT: THere is no MMS in my mailbox...
I can see the seetings, but there is no inbox, can someone help...
Perhaps there is a CAB File I need thanks
Max
What ROM version are you running? I had several different ROMs installed on my T-MO MDA, even the O2 version - all of them had the MMS Inbox without even installing the extended ROM.
Not sure...
Not sure....
I managed to get MMS working, with a CAB, but now I get the error, ELATEPUSHSERVICE.exe not signed.
I need the 02 MMS CAB I think.

TMobile MMS Sending problem on 8525

I have an 8525 unlocked and can't seem to get the MMS to send in the new TNT 6.1 19199 Professional Release. It worked on the previous TNT release but now it just hangs around in the outbox and doesnt do anything. Iv'e tried using "MMS auto config t-mobile.cab" iv'e tried using the network configuration built in to tnts rom and ive even tried installing Arcsoft_MMS_4281 even though I had the newer version that came with tnts rom installed. And ive triple checked my settings and they are correct. This is my device info, hope someone knows the answer to my problem.
I have TMobile USA service
Unlocked 8525 running TNT.19199_Professional_Hermes
ROM Version TNT.19199
ROM Date 03/14/08
Radio Version 1.54.07.00
let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks
OK now I installed a different dl of arcsoft mms4281, and what it did is added 2 mms folders to my messaging section. So now when I press messages it says
Select an Account
SMS\MMS
myemail1
myemail2
MMS
MMS1
Setup Email Address.
Now the 2 new MMS's work like the old tnt rom but it looks dumb with 2 and the one integrated in SMS\MMS still does not work. And I prefer the upgraded MMS Composer because it enters a contact when you start typing a name into the send to field when 4281 does not.
