I uploaded this free software from Adobe website. The S/W is great, but it is very large size (~14MB). At installation it askes, wether to be installed on MAIN MEMORY or STORAGE CARD, however no chnace with storage card. It simply doesn't work, if not installed on MAIN MEMORY. Is there any similar experience here?
Bijan,
I try Adobe Reader 2.0 for PocketPC, and installed it on \storage card (SD Card 1GB) without problem.
Another solution for reading .pdf is using ClearPDF that come with O2 unit. But I screw up my ExtROM, and now I only can use Adobe reader 2.0 :-(
Regards,
Arto.
Can it be due to not 100% compatibility of SD RAM
I assume as long as my 256MB SD RAM is working in other application, then it is OK, but can I be wrong, i.e. the problem is in my my storage card, rather than S/W and installation procedures!?
I installed acrobat reader 2.0 to my 256mb sd card and have had no problems with it either. Try removing it and re-installing it.
I had the same problem. I uninstalled the software via ActiveSync only from the device (unchecked the checkbox at software). After that I unchecked the checkbox "allwas use default folder" and reinstalled the software zo the storage card. It works quite well, but my card is a bit slow...
ClearPDF is really great, I use it instead of Acrobat Reader!
but its not free
Is the ClearPDF come with the O2 XDA II mini? That's free.
AdobePDF have more extra feature than ClearPDF. Can show full screen. I am trying to have big storage (27mb) on \storage Anansky method. If success, I can install AdobePDF on \storage.
Best regards,
Arto
Which is faster to transfer files to an SD Card?
1)
Via cable mounting the SD card as a drive.
Via resco and Wifi
Or a card reader.
2)
Is there a way to disable recent progs on the menu? Just bugs me
3)
Thanks
1. Card reader (USB2)
2. Dunno
3. No worries. Sorry I couldn't answer (2).
thanks i check that out
check this site out fella:
www.softick.com
They do a util that turns your device into a Mass Storage SDCard reader.. much faster than activesync AND you dont have to remove your SD.
THANKS
Can now noumt my the phone as a mass storage device good good. before i buy a use 2 card reader would the speed diff be much different between the cable and reader?
I didn't notice a difference between using my card reader and using the ppc directly with this util.
I copied around 700mb to it and it didn't take too long atall, theres a 21day tril on the website give it a go
Hi, I want to format my 1GB microSD card i've looked at the installed software on the TyTn but I can't find anything any suggestions.
Thanks
suggestion
Put it in a pc and format
There are programs that can format your storage card like Resco Explorer or SKTools. Or like sandrobber said, use your pc if you have a card reader.
Hello community,
Have anyone experienced problems installing the TomTom Navigator 6 to the mini SD card?
The option to install the application to internal memory or storage card is shown when installing via usb but then fails to install on the storage card.
There are already installed applications on the mini SD card and additional free space.
The application installs on the internal memory without problems but no free space (this was confirmed by removing applications from the internal memory).
Update: I've installed the application on the internal memory and move the folder and its contents manually to the storage card. I launch the app directly from the card and it worked. However, I haven’t yet tested it for a signal or synchronization with TomTom home, but the app starts. Updated the program shortcut link to point to the new directory and deleted the old (internal memory).
I had a look at the setup xml before stored in the .cab file and found that it explicitly installs to the internal memory. There weren't any use of variables for choice for the installation directory.
Did the developers intentionally leave that out? Or was it an oversight?
What version of TomTom are you talking about? My version (TomTom 6) installs fine onto the memory card. I am installing it from a cab file on the memory card.
Unfortunately, I discovered that Dropsync has problems with Marshmallow. There is a beta that should work, although I installed it but it doesn't work either. The workaround - to sync to the dedicated "Dropsync folder" on SD card works. Secondly, Act1 video player doesn't play files on the external SD card. Just so you know before upgrading, it's a real hassle with Android not having a stable solution how to handle external SD card.
