MMS problems on XDA - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi all,
I did the corp install a few months ago, and since then I havent been able to send or recieve MMS messages.
i'm using the following settings:
connection name: o2 web
access point: mobile.o2.co.uk
username: faster
pw: password
CLICK Advanced tab, go to servers, pick the second bullet point and set the servers address as follows
DNS: 193.113.200.200
AltDNS:193.113.200.201
For MMS settings
server O2UK
193.113.200.195
port 9201
server address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Click to collapse
But I get a 'Unable to recieve your message(s). Your message notification(s) will remain in your inbox'
Can someone help... please!? [/quote]

The settings I have work I use the following:
connection name: o2 Active
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
access point: wap.o2.co.uk
username: o2web
pw: password
Using Server Assigned DNS Servers and IP Address
For MMS settings
server: O2UK
Gateway: 193.113.200.195
port: 9201
server address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Assuming you're on o2 UK contract these setting should work fine, they work for me.

Thanks for that info... i've changed my settings to your ones, and it doesnt seem to work. If i open IE and go to a site, i get 'The page connot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost'
it worked ok on the old settings..
i'm on o2 contract btw.
two quick questions - should i be going to start>settings>connections>connections>My ISP>manage existing connections ...? (thats the settings i've been changing for net access)
in messaging>MMS>menu>MMS Configuration>Servers>O2UK>Connect Via:
which option should i choose? The WAP Network?
Thanks

The connection for accessing internet through GPRS and the settings for sending/receiving MMS Messages are different.
The settings I provided are for MMS. Set this up as your My Work Network connection. Then in the MMS Configuration panel tell it to connect via My Work Network.
The settings for o2 Internet Access should be setup as your My ISP Connection and be as follows:
connection name: o2 Internet
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
access point: mobile.o2.co.uk
username: o2web
pw: password
Using Server Assigned IP Address
DNS Server: 193.113.200.200
alt DNS Server: 193.113.200.201
Hope this works for you.

HEllo,
Thanks for helping.. i'm sorry to say its still not working. cant send or recieve MMS messages :-/
any ideas?

If you got into the server configuration window for the MMS what WAP version are you using(You may have to hide the on-screen keyboard to see this)? Mine will only work if set to WAP 1.2, if it's 2.0 you might need to change it.

Hello,
I tried changing that yesterday after finding it mentioned on another forum.. it still didnt work, despite resets. Then this morning, i tried it again, and it seems to work.. random.. Thanks for your help

What some people may not be aware of, is that you are not able to recieve MMS's on a new phone until you have sent one. Hence my problem, I cant send MMS's on my phone dispite having the correct setting in MMS and network areas. I have looked at the logs and this is what they state.
Send.txt

From is NULL
To is : +6421378324 Cc is : Bcc is :
Send Result : 606
Mime Package : \My Documents\UAContents\MMS UA\38105.dat
Cant help but think that my number is ment to be in there somewhere ! like in the FROM field.

If i change from wap 2.0 to 1.2 i get the same error but with a -2 instead of a 606, i was wondering if someone could post there send.txt file of a message that has sent.

hp 6515 gprs/mms - autoconfig??

hi all, i am new on this forum,
i have this phone(6515) few months, but still cannot get MMS to work. all the time i am looking around, read forums, try at least 50 diferent settings and here found some interesting things...
so, is it possible if somebody help me with creating autoconfig script (i found only for wm6 and without setting for my mobile operator).
i have all updates and wm 2003 installed.
thank you.
on hp site found that mms doesnt work becouse they are not allowed,
so how can i enable it?
Well, if MMS are not allowed by your network then you can't.
It is not a matter of device or OS, if your operator does not give you this service you can not enable it.
As for creating a configuration cab (for quick installation after hard reset?), it would be easier for people to help you if you post your operator settings.
hi,
i allready solve this, using some file explorer which can show hidden files, edit registry, manualy run some cab files and thats it.
thank you
thank you for answer,
disallowed mms i mean they are probably blocked in settings in rom (i got this information on hp site when checked version description)
otherwise this sim working ok with mms in other phones
here are settings for my provider:
GPRS:
Mobitel GPRS:
Access point name: internet
User name: mobitel
Password: internet
(WAP: Server: 213.229.249.40, Port: 9201)
(Secure WAP: Server: 213.229.249.40, Port: 9203)
MMS:
Mobitel MMS:
Access point name: mms.mobitel.si
User name: mobitel
Password: internet
Server name: Mobitel MMS Center
Gateway: 213.229.249.40
Port number: 9201
Server address: http://mms.mobitel.si/servlets/mms

Configure MMS and GPRS...

How to configure MMS and GPRS?....My country is missing from auto. connecting wizzard or setup, is there a way add more countries cuz it was on the list it while using onyx rom on HTC. Is there to install newer version of "connection setup" with bigger list....I don't want to flash another ROM just because of that. Or can someone provide step-by-step for manual configuration for MMS and GPRS.
I got this from my network:
name: BHMobileWAP
apn: active.bhmobile.ba
195.222.056.041 port:8080 for http, 9201 wap (i think)
no username, password and domain....
what else do I need?
for MMS
name: BHMobileMMS
apn: mms.bhmobile.ba
195.222.056.041
adress: http://www.bhmobile.ba/cmmsc/post
.........
http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2006/06/07/620387.aspx
if you want more guides or want something more spc to mms
try this
http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=pocketpc+setup+gprs&btnG=Søg&meta=
and if you need mms spc stuff you can of cause replace the grps with mms in the
search
