But my questions are :
is the OS in German ? anything looking suspicious before buying it ?? (any problem to put a belgian sim card in it ? is it in english or will i be restrained to anything in german if i buy this ?)

Yes - the OS is in German - it's being sold by a German, to Germans, with text in German and it clearly states that the manual is in German and that everything else is in German.
Any GSM or UMTS/GSM sim card should work in it - no reason not to.
ok, thank you.
ATTENTION !!! ALL MDA PRO HAVE NET LOCK !!!!!!

V1605 for sale...

Hey all,
A while ago I was asking what the best way was to get my cracked screen repaired. It turns out that Vodafone would do it. However, they lost the phone in transit and as such I was sent a replacement unit. I now have two v1605 phones and as such the new one is up for sale - SIM free and fully boxed: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....90044423776&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&rd=1

Hi!
where in the UK are you based?
Ofiaich
Hi,
I am slightly north of London - near Stevenage (Jct. 7 A1(m)).
rich
thanks for your quick reply, Rich,
I am in East Yorkshire...
I need to find out how easy it is to install full Japanese input for email.....
I'm new to Windows Mobile devices, and use a Tungsten T3 with a 802se as a modem, but the T3's battery only lasts 90 minutes.....
Main phone is a Ferrari Sharp 902 but no Japanese input, but can see Japanese in email...
So, need to upgrade !
I will do more research........
Ofiaich
Hi,
I think it may be possible to install a ROM containing the laguage options you need. HOWEVER - you will still be stuck with a keyboard with english qwerty
Rich
Hi!
the qwerty keyboard is not a problem as most Japanese type Japanese using a combination of vowels and consonants.
I have a Japanese VAIO and none of my Japanese friends will type using the keys marked with Hiragana..!
I will do some research........

Can some Titan cooks please look at this?

Hi, I'm a Japanese.
I don't know what proper manner here is, so I'm sorry for the intrusion, and I'm sorry for making this post.
A little information... I have some trouble with English, but it's not bad. My wife is no good though. So, instead of sending E-Mail and SMS in English or roma-ji Japanese on our phones, naturally, we want to use Japanese.
This should be no problem with the WM phones, since I have heard this is possible now that you have "rom cooking" etc.
We liked the Verizon Wireless HTC XV6800 ("Mogul" if Sprint) so we bought two XV6800 on Verizon because Sprint is no good.
Anyway, like I said, with mine it is no problem to just simply use English, but naturally I want to read Japanese website/etc. and converse with my wife. I read that I can get several options for read/write Japanese, but I think the best thing for both of us is to somehow get Japanese OS locale of WM or something.
If I have a PDA device or phone from Japan with WM6 or WM6.1 on it, is there anyway to RIP the ROM from the davice and f or someone who is good experienced cook please use the JP localization information inside the ROM to make English ROM from Titan/XV6800/Mogul into Japanese with MS JP IME too?
Thank you for your attention.

Help Please with MDA compact 4 language recognition

Hi all
As you can see I am a new member,I stumbled upon ur great forum whilst googling to find a solution for my friend's MDA compact 4.
My friend's has bought a T-Mobile Compact 4 (here in the UK) recently but his problem appears to be that his OS doesn't read or recognise Arabic "language".
IF the users receives an SMS in Arabic,it doesn't appear in any comprehensible format on his PDA (MDA) at all ,whereas with other makes he used before he could.
Is this an OS issue or is it just a language setting issue? Is there any way of enabling the MDA 4 to recognise and read (not input) Arabic characters?
I did read a few posts here regarding language problem but those were mainly regarding other EUROPEAN users unable to switch their current language format from their local language "Dutch for example" to English in order to be able to read incoming material in English or browse English Language sites .
I would be very grateful for your help
Thanks
If you search a little bit more. You will find arabic support for the phone, originally supplied by HTc. I cannot provide the link becuase i cant find it no more. But it was there yesterday. i am searching for it and if I find it Iwill post it.
Thank u Sumit
So i Should search for "HTC arabic support" on the net? I also would like to know a bit more about the diagnosis of the problem:
what is it exactly?
Is it the language format not supported?
Is it the Windows version?
What is it?
Just in case I have to speak to T-mobile about it...U know how sometimes those tech support staff can be very ignorant about issues to do with foreign languages esp here in England.

Samsun Omnia 735; GT-B7350 Microprocessor - Prozessor

I have searched a long time to get informations about the built in processor of the new Samsung Omnia 735. Now I have owned one for testing.
The buit in processor is the Qualcom Typ: 7227 with a recommanded maximum clock Frequency of 600MHZ.
Fine phone, but not as good as the HP Glisten (if someone can provide me an unlockcode)
more Information you can find @ http://www.samsung.de/de/news/read.aspx?pmguid=89eb2cb1-82cb-42e5-9e74-82ae997c3909

Hi Steve,
did you by any chance buy a protective casing for your Omnia 735?
If yes (even if no, actually) - can you recommend one?
I don't care if it's leather of plastic, as long as it does its job well.
Since I'm a student and driving around a lot with my bicycle I'd like to try to be more careful with my next smartphone - my Palm Treo Pro didn't take the few times I threw it down too well (microphone and gsm reception are slightly broken now).
Thanks!

Sure thing.
I'm in dire need for a English ROM - do you happen to have access to one?
I'd be glad to pay for it, if that's an incentive for you.
And about the file keypad_ORSAY.dll - the one with file size 68312 bytes in \Windows?
I can find it using "Search" in PocketController Pro, but it's not displayed in the file explorer... any idea why and how to copy it? Do I need to install Resco Explorer to do that?
Thanks,
Art4

Here it is, with copied with TOTAL COMMANDER, rename the txt file to dll
You can change phisical keyboard language layout in any rom.
You just need to replace 2 dlls in following registry:
1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\keypad]

keypad_ORSAY.Dll to available in ROM:
keypad_ORSAY_0C0A.dll
keypad_Orsay_040B.dll Finnish
keypad_Orsay_040C.dll French
keypad_Orsay_040D.dll hebrew
keypad_Orsay_0406.dll Danish
keypad_Orsay_0407.dll German
keypad_Orsay_0414.dll Norwegian - Bokml
keypad_Orsay_0419.dll Russian
keypad_Orsay_0809.dll China
Other:
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia.dll
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia_Arab.dll
keypad_ORSAY_SoutheastAsia.dll
2.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"DriverName"="kbdmouse.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\00000409]
"Layout File"="kbdmouse.dll"
"Layout Text"="US"
"PS2_AT"="kbdmouse.dll"
To:

Anyone looking for a cover for their Samsung Omnia 735, the Bugatti slim leather case (size M) fits perfectly and looks very smart
It has a velco strap at the top to stop the Omnia falling out and you can pull the tab to lift the phone out of the pouch for easy access
Thanks a lot!
I'll look into it!
Hi,
got a Omina 735 since Feb 11.
It's working well, however i don't like WM 6.5.3. Imho 6.1 Prof. was way better, as flicking around with the finger is a bit awkward on the new 6.5.3 GUI.
However I didn't find any ROMs for this device yet. not even here in the forums is a single thread concerning the Omnia 735.
Do you know any?
It's a great thumbtype smartphone with long battery life and a wonderful casing.
regards
I second this, it's an excellent phone.
6.5.3 GUI is fine for me, for the today screen I'm working with WAD and PocketBreeze
The only thing I really dislike is that the internal GPS does not work without network connection. Stupid, isn't it? Is there a way to simulate a network connection so that the GPS will work?

Indeed. It's a really nice phone. Why so few users?
I'm not sure what you meant by "network connection" but on my B7350, internal GPS works without data connection or even SIM card. Does it vary according to country versions?
Hello,
I found some ROMs here: http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-b7350.htm .
Does anybody know how to enable hidden setting options that were present on WM6.1?
Thanks!
Great minds must think alike.. ;-)
I just found the same link yesterday, but due to time-constraints haven't tried it out yet.
If you test it, keep in mind: if you want your provider-settings to be "automatically" working, you should download a firmware with the same CSC.
(Find out typing in *#1234# on your samsung 735)
Cheers!
Regarding the "hidden settings" from wm6.5 vs 6.1 ... I didn't have any luck. All I was able to do was use a registry editor and do trial/error comparisons with my wm6.1 phone (Treo Pro) and changed the settings accordingly. (e.g. to disable the dictionary/autocomplete.)
@Belrei:
I'm using the GPS without GPRS/network connection just fine!
(E.g. I use Google Maps via WiFi without the GPRS-triangulation just fine. If by network connection you mean AGPS-supplied information.)
... if you want to exchange tricks and how to use this phone best, just drop me a p/m.
(I'm using "Bob" and not "ONE", but I guess that wouldn't make any difference in our scenario.)
PS: GPS TTF takes longer, of course, but beyond that it works. (TTF=time to [first] fix.)
