Hello Everybody,
I found the Wizard at 469 € on a website in netherland!

But i have some question for you...
The device is blocked? Is it possible to use it without T-Mobile?
Is it possible to load a WWE rom on it?
Please answer me!

- The device will be sim-locked by t-mobile.
- It will be possible to use it with other carriers, but you need to sim-unlock it first
- It will be possible to load WWE Roms on it I think, just give the boys here some time :wink:

Hello, i have a few questions about this subject. Is there already a way that we can network/sim-unlock the T-mobile Vario? And to load the qtek or Imate rom on it, in that way you can have a cheap Wizard.( in comparance with the others) Except for the t-mobile branding on the front :wink:

can someone please tell me the difference between a Sim-Lock and a Net-Lock?
I am interested in the MDA Vario of T-Mobile.
It seems that for the MDA Pro T-Mobile has provided a free unlock code to who purchased it at the full price without any subscrition.
Will it be the same on the MDA Vario? Will it be a Net-Lock code or a Sim-Lock code???
I live in Italy and I would like to buy it from T-Mobile Netherland at 459 €... will it work on the italian carrier?

from what i understand, the phone has been locked by the network, because of either misuse (not paid the bill) or was maybe stolen and reported.
simlock is locked to a particular network
block is the phone is completely blocked from any network

it states : the network is locked but believe me it is a simlock

My Question is if you can down grade the universal to WM2003SE
if you can do that you can use the unlock code we got on this forum
and if it is unlocked up grade to magneto (windows2005)

Wouldnt make any difference as the Lock is held in the Radio Rom I beleive.
There also is no wm2003se for universal, it was designed as a 2005 device from start to end.
Nice idea, but I think making a working Unlock tool for the standard universal is a better idea.

is the o2 exec locked at all?
im travelling a lot between germany and uk, and therefore want to use my o2 plan simcard as well as my german eplus simcard.
The shop assistant in the o2 shop told me that i CAN use non-O2 simcards in the universal (o2 xda exec) without any problem. Could I also use a Orange PAYG simcard?
How much was it to officially unlock the phone?

Ive not received mine yet, but its possible they dont lock it. Unlikely though.
Can anyone with an Exec confirm if its provider locked?

Mine was unlocked on delivery. Also if you search these forums everyone else is reporting theres where not locked.

Can confirm that my Exec wasn't locked, tried both a Vodafone SIM and an Orange PayGo SIM with no problem.

theres no point downgrading to wm2k3....you'll only run into more problems...
wm2k3 is built to share ram for both ram and rom.....so, that means, your 43meg partition would have to be divided....and thats just too bad! So, i guess, you just need to stick with wm5 for the time being....and hope for a good rom update to come by!

Vodafone uk Internet settings

have just bought a NIKI which was originally locked to Orange. Have had it unlocked and using my Vodafone sim.
I am totally new to this and desperate to get it back on the net and to get MMS working
Has anybody got the settings for Vodafone UK connection settings

No phone roaming abroad since unsimlock ?

Hello you all.
I unsimlocked my HTC Touch Cruise via a web site (it was french SFR originally, and my SIM card is french Orange). It works in France, but when I go in a foreign country (in Europe or elsewhere) it is impossible for me to phone (I've got a worldwilde operator subscription) : I have a message with "no operator" or something like that.
Does anybody know how to repair this ? Please help me and thnaks in advance...

[Q] Trophy sim unlock

Hey there.
I have just won a HTC Trophy on a seminar. Despite the system's limitations, the phone is great, super-fast, great screen, good sound quality...
There is only one thing that is keeping me from using it.
It is locked and works only with vodafone (Portugal) sim cards, and with other carriers sim cards it asks for a unlock code.
Is there any way to get this code? Any website (I'm willing to pay if it is a reasonable price). Vodafone PT says they will unlock it for 99€, which I think is too much.

Hi,
Try contact with Microsoft, they will give you the code, i brougth mine in Spain because in th time was inexistent here in Portugal and it brings the code to unlock.

Help I can not set the message center. Message center number is not saved

I'd say find a reputable unlock service online to avoid the hassle of carriers and Microsoft giving you a run around.
