Unlock Palm Tungsten W, unlock from ATT

Hi,
My name is Fernando, I am writing from Costa Rica, Central America. I Just got a Palm Tungsten W, but it is lock for ATT use only. Do you know if someone recently has find the way to unlock the SIM, to use with other carries abroad.
Do you know if I can use your xda manipulador to unlock it???
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Fernando
No. The XDA manipulator only works for HTC PocketPC Phone Edition phones, such as the O2 XDA, T-Mobile MDA, Qtek 1010 or any of the other names the device goed by.
The Palm Tungsten W is a Tri-band GSM phone, but I couldn't quickly identify who makes the GSM/GPRS module inside. If it's made by Texas Instruments, you may be able to use the same unlocking trick we use in The Manipulator, but you'd have to write your own software to do so.
unlocking from ATT
Thank you, for your answer. One of my problems is that nobody knows who made the module. Can you find out? Or you have a way to show me how to investigate it?
Fernando :?:
If anyone figures out how to do this, please let me know. I need this unlocked asap.

xda II with d2 vodafone

Hello,
i've a xda and use it with my d2 vodafone card, and everything works with it allright.
I want to buy me an xda II, do anyone knows wether it works too with an d2 vodafone card? Or is there something like a simlock, can I use internet with gprs an the all stuff people with O2-Germany can use?
I'm happy for all answers that can help me.
hi,
my t-mobile mda-II works without any problems with the d2-vodafone card. You can use every kind of connection you want. No SimLock on my device!
But you can´t use gprs with a callya card you need a real card.
regards
AleX
thanks
hi alex,
thanks for your answer.
I think xda II and MDA II are the same in everything. So I think I can buy me an Xda II without any fear.
I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo excited.........
Bye...
Connecter, I would be wary about buying the xda2 if you need to use it on another service providers network, it seems people are having an awful job getting them unlocked by O2, now I dont know what kind of Vodafone sim you have but it certainly isnt O2 so make sure before you hand over the loot.
now i'm confused
Sooooo,
now i'm confused.
Is there anyone who can tell me if the xda II works with my german provider "D2 Vodafone"?
I wanna have a xda II, but I also want to use my "D2" provider, and I want use all features of the xda II.
Can someone help me???
Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi
I do have the same issue with SIM lock or not, I want to use it on a swiss network.
I just wrote to the support of O2 Germany (where I got mine from), they replied that XDA2 does not have a SIM lock.
So I should be possible to use it on any network.
Why you don´t buying the mda-II Device? I can garantie that it works!
regards
AleX
MDAII works fine
Hello,
i bought a T-Mobile MDA II. There is no simlock on my device. Web-Browsing with GPRS ist easy to set up. The only problem i have is to set it up to send and receive MMs-Messages. But i'm still working on it.
Regards
Markus

Don't be. O2 in the UK sells the XDA II with a SIM lock, while O2 Germany sells the German version of the XDA II without a SIM lock (or so I've heard).
The MDA II also has no SIM lock, and at least in Germany is considerably cheaper than the XDA II. I got mine brand new from eBay for 560 Euro without contract.
You can easily flash the O2 firmware to an MDA II (for example, if you want the homezone indicator).
Cheers
Daniel
an unlocked xda2/mda2/qtek2020
should work with just about any gsm provider there is
like an unlocked nokia telephone does
Does MDA II have english OS or German?

- The device will be sim-locked by t-mobile.
- It will be possible to use it with other carriers, but you need to sim-unlock it first
- It will be possible to load WWE Roms on it I think, just give the boys here some time
Not a SIM-lock, but a network lock!
???
What is a network lock???
Dakkar
Hello, i have a few questions about this subject. Is there already a way that we can network/sim-unlock the T-mobile Vario? And to load the qtek or Imate rom on it, in that way you can have a cheap Wizard.( in comparance with the others) Except for the t-mobile branding on the front
Please!
Hello,
can someone please tell me the difference between a Sim-Lock and a Net-Lock?
I am interested in the MDA Vario of T-Mobile.
It seems that for the MDA Pro T-Mobile has provided a free unlock code to who purchased it at the full price without any subscrition.
Will it be the same on the MDA Vario? Will it be a Net-Lock code or a Sim-Lock code???
I live in Italy and I would like to buy it from T-Mobile Netherland at 459 €... will it work on the italian carrier?
Thank you very much,
Dakkar
from what i understand, the phone has been locked by the network, because of either misuse (not paid the bill) or was maybe stolen and reported.
simlock is locked to a particular network
block is the phone is completely blocked from any network
it states : the network is locked but believe me it is a simlock

Confused newbie - Need advices

Hi guys,
I'm looking forward to get myself a QTEK 9100 but I am from Canada and getting one is pretty hectic. As a result, I turned myself on ebay to look for one.
The prices of the Factory unlocked QTEK 9100 are just ridiculous. Obviously their prices were boosted.
I was then looking to see that I could get myself a T-MOBILE MDA.
I understand it is the same, and im pretty sure you guys have heard this million of times.
I was wondering to unlock this cellphone would lokiwiz - HTC Wizard Unlocker UPDATE Version 0.2b be enough?
After unlocking, would it behave like a "factory unlocked" QTEK 9100?
Also would anybody know a place where I could get myself a QTEK 9100 in Canada or that ships to canada and that has resonable prices? Otherwise i will go with the T-Mobile MDA
Would it be smarter to just wait to buy the HTC TyTN?
I know i wouldnt be able to use the 3G Features here because the network is not there yet.
Thank you for your time guys
can only answer the Lokiwiz question, yes it is enough. Used it myself before upgrading to X's custom 2.26. Good luck with your other ?'s
Im not sure if i read this correctly, but I think what I understood from it, that T-MOBILE had a sim unlocker and a rom updater that was available free?

Unlocking T-Mobile MDAIII

Hi all, need some directions from you good people
I need to SIM unlock my MDAIII so it can be changed from T-Mobile to Vodafone. I would also like to retain the WM6 ROM i am currently using
I have no problem paying for the service of unlocking, can you point me in the right direction?
Also - anyone got a link to an original HTC WM6 ROM for the MDAIII?
Cheers for your help
Send a PM to tupisdin. He can SIM unlock very simply, it's not free, but works on a donation system.
Alternatively see http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ which is also not free, they send you a piece of Software that will unlock both SIM and CID at the same time.

Well There is a " FREE " way to get your phone Sim unlocked.
if you contact Tmobile and request the sim unlock code, they will give it to you.
there is just 1 catch, your phone has to be at least 1 year old.
have fun.
