Internet Explorer has gone crazy!!!

My homepage is the BBC was page.
Nowardays, when I log on to it, it shows the page from about 3 weeks ago. This should not be as BBC is updated constantly.
When I try to go to google and other favorites, it says the page cannot be found. The address used to work before.
I've tried deleting saved links and clearing history. No difference.
Any advice?
Try soft reset then reconnect to GPRS .

Done that. No change.
Can you connect to other internet resources, other than web pages through internet explorer?
Toggle flight mode on and then off again. Works better than hard reset in some cases.

Fixed it: I re-installed the .cab file with the GPRS settings.

Browsing with PIE

I'm very confused as to why I can't browse with PIE, Opera works fine, but if I try to browse in PIE (I want to use logmein ) It connects, then says locating for ~30 seconds or so, then gives me the following error : "The page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later"
I can browse perfectly well with opera, but can't resolve any page with PIE.
I'm on t-mobile in the UK and AFAIK all my settings are right, so why can't I use IE??

Is there any proxy setting in your PDA? As has been pointed out in many of my Pocket PC & Web browsing-related articles, Opera doesn't use the system-level proxy, while PIE / IEM does. This is why IEM doesn't work.
I have got the t-mobile proxy in my settings, but if I delete it I can't connect at all.
WHat settings should I have ??
bump.
Can anyone help?

mobile.southwest.com access from Wizard

I would like to use mobile.southwest.com. However, it detects that I am visiting with a PPC and redirects me to the main site.
The problem with this is that I often want to check in, and if you do it from the main site but don't print a boarding pass, when you "reprint" a boarding pass at the airport, it reclassifies your boarding group. If you check in with the mobile phone, it remembers that you are boarding class A.
I tried installing opera mini (which, since I use a T-Mobile MDA, required installing a midlet manager) and then going to mobile.southwest.com, but southwest still redirected me to the regular site.
Has anyone figured out how to go to the southwest wap site?
there is a registry setting, so your browser will be detected as a desktop pc,
don't remember the setting you have to search like registry setting for IE6
I need the opposite
The problem is that mobile.southwest.com is detecting my ppc as a desktop pc, and thus assumes I have an attached printer. I want to tell it that I am not a desktop pc.
How to spoof a desktop pc is in the wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweaks_Other&version=70
but I haven't been able to find how to spoof, say, a treo (on which this mobile.southwest.com returns wap content).
Tried them all
I have now tried PIE, Opera mini, Minimo, and Netforce 3.3, and can't reach mobile.southwest.com on any of them -- I'm sent to the main site instead. So clearly it isn't a browser issue but some other settings. Does anyone know how to spoof a wap browser?
The solution to this problem turns out to be to use a WAP browser. The two main ones are Klondike ($23) and winwap ($50). Klondike's trial has a not-very-obnoxious trial reminder periodically but my understanding is that it works indefinitely, which is very nice of them.
I tried the Tweaks2k2 changes and nothing helped with getting mobile southwest to work.
I downloaded Netfront 3.3 and if you allow WAP on the program, the mobile southwest will load correctly.
I called southwest before doing all this and got nowhere.
If anyone has an idea of getting the default browser to work, I would like to know before, I pay for Netfront.

Skweezer.net
Have any of you tried skweezer.net? It's a site that condenses web sites for small screens. I went there on my LAPTOP, entered mobile.southwest.com into the search window, and brought up the mobile version of southwest.com. I surfed the mobile site for a while. I even looked at the mobile pdf schedules page. Southwest.com never detected that I was surfing from a laptop, not a mobile device since I loaded the page through skweezer. I think skweezer might fix both problems.
Works for me

Cool! This works!
Nice Bass Aggie.
Skweezer compressed the web site but it still does not bring up the mobile website.
Any other ideas on how to get it to work on PIE.

I'm using Summiter's last ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=267613
and mobile.southwest.com works fine for me.

Browser problem 3G

For some reason the browser refuses to load any pages while using 3G, the "working circle" moves but nothing happens. It works perfectly using WLAN and everything else works in 3G, mail, Google maps, calendar, youtube etc.
What's wrong? Just made a factory reset but the problem still exist.
Where are you located at? When I imported an unlocked phone from the U.K. to the U.S. i remember i had to call tech support to get them to walk me thru the steps in setting up my phone to work with the internet.
I found the solution. For some reason the proxy settings doesn't work in the original browser. Using Steel it works perfectly. Deleted the proxy settings and now the browser wants to play
I have had exactly the same problem. Removed the proxy address, and now working fine.... very strange!

I can't load Google.com on Chrome/Firefox browser but any other website is fine!

I just got build number MHC19Q today but this problem has actually been going on for about a week. I am using chrome and I can load any webpage except for google.com. It will just start to show the loading bar and stop 1/4 of the way. So i can't type a word or phrase and search for it since chrome is not loading google.com. I am using the most updated version of chrome (49.0.2623.105) and I even tried using Chrome Beta...same result. I cannot access Google.com. I can access gmail.com but nothing that has google in the web address. Any ideas?
Things I have tried all ready...clear cache and data. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried Chrome Beta. I also tried restarting the phone. None worked. I even tried using a different browser (Firefox) and I get the same result, I cannot load google.com.

Ok, so after doing all sorts of things, I finally found out that it is a wifi issue. If i turn off my wifi, I can access google now just fine. I can do searches and everything. However, the minute I turn on wifi again, it stops working again. I am 100% it is not a router or wifi issue itself as any other website search it comes up fast and I have tried it in different locations with different routers...all the same, google now wont work with wifi on. Any one else having this issue?
Might be a possible DNS issue with your Wi-Fi. To check:
1.) Go to Settings>Wi-Fi Network then long press your Wi-Fi network name on the list.
2.) Select "Modify Network" then check whether you have "DHCP" or "Static". Likely the " Static" option is chosen as the issue occurs across different wi-Fi networks.
3.) If indeed "Static" is chosen scroll down until you see "DNS 1" and "DNS 2". Make sure you are using the correct DNS servers. Or you may try using public DNS servers like OpenDNS or Google. Save changes then try again to connect via Wi-Fi.
