http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13455
is possible to accede to the sim imei number using c#? what?
regards
Hi,
I used this example and converted to C++ to read a hard drive serial. I think you could use this example (maybe) but change it so you read from the SIM and not the hard drive. I think the principles are the same, just go tot make sure you read from the SIM....
Cheers..

you have attached a harddisk at your pocket?

What I don't understand:
When trying to start the gsm function of the xda with a "foreign" sim-card it tells me to enter the Access-Code in order to unlock the phone.
In this case there must exist a certain defined code which lets you unlock everey xda.
I am asking myself if there has probably already been a clever person trying to get this code somehow. Or am I totally wrong and it is necessary even for O2 to connect the device to some sepcial equipment.
From my understanding every single phone/pda etc has its own unique unlock code, abit like a PUK code.
It is made up using digits from the phone number, SIM IMEI and the Device IMEI number, only the service provide i.e. Orange, O2, Vodafone will have the sequence for this.
Just use the XDA Unlock tool listed on the XDA Developers site.
Hope this helps
Mike
Unlocking
...or just try that with a serial cable connected to your XDA and have a terminal program (eg. Hyperterminal) running on your PC:
... some of these things are pretty easy
once you know the trick. For instance, if you just put the XDA
in bootloader mode and enter "dualser", followed by
"AT%UREG?3FE00C,4", you will see the SID unlock code. More news
about all the things we've learned will be available soon on our
GSM research page...
Click to collapse
Write down this SID-Code and use it when you insert a foreign SIM-Card.
Greetings, Kaputter
I have been asked to look into whether an application we have written ro PocketPC will work on an XDA device. It currently uses the PC/SC API to access a SIM card in a Cardman PCMCIA carrier. I need to find out if we can either use the PC/SC API to run GSM SIM commands to the SIM/USIM in the built in reader, e.g. reading files, unlocking the PIN, getting status, running the GSM or AUTH algorithm and retrieving results.
Is the PC/SC API supported? Are there equivalent functions in the RIL API? Where is some good documentation on low-level SIM card access in this environment?
Thanks,
Erik Tkal
the only method to communicate with SIM card is through the GSM modem's AT commands.
GSM modem's AT commands
Maybe you've got a quick hint - how I can use AT commands to milk the SIM card for its GSM triplets?
hi,
the link below is too the nike unlocker software.
u have to send your imei number and u get this software and a imei.unl file with data converted from your imei number what the software needs.
i have not put this file as it has the data to my imei number. i have only put the software exe.
hopefully someone in the know will be able to work out how this software works and let nike uses be able to sim unlock there device for free instead paying these con prices.

Hi all,
I'm not an expert in PDA devices or not even at Forums but I need help.
I read about unlocking S220 from SIM Operator anda i followed all sugested steps (copying the .bat files, connect with activesinc, run lokwiz 03) but at the end of running lokwiz, instead of getting a code, i got a message more or less like this: "SIMLock........your code is your simlock code"
does it mean that i should use my card operator code to unlock?
can anybody help me?
PS - Sorry about my english
PS2 - I don't even know if i'm posting at the right place
thank you all.... :S

then *#7284#
and select
Modem, Usb Diag
restart the phone and follow the guide here
thanks to Hero for the guide
This may be little bit nooby but discussing on flashing imei's is not a bit illegal-ish? It's not like jailbreaking or any kind of alteration don't you think?
i think so,
in fact i posted a link and not the entire guide
... in any case, it's not so easy to change the imei on your phone and make it functionally.
you need an imei code there is not in use in your country by another phone
and an imei phone a phone like yours according with product type.
there is a function called:
"auto provisioning"
you see you receive, with some carriers, automatic mms and internet configuration at first access?
gsm cell identify and decrpt your imei and give this info to carrier.
hope this can helps
