You need XTNDConnect PC - From Extended Systems
I had the same problem with Lotus Organizer 6.1.
XTNDConnect PC works perfectly for me.
Click Here >http://www.extendedsystems.com/web/content.aspx?key=87479B0C67EF93379DB1AD4D6FA06319
It is not cheap at $59.99 but it does a good job.
Good Luck

what !!!!!
60 USD
THERE IS NO WAY I'LL PAY THAT FOR A PEICE OF SOFTWARE
i mean i understand that things take time to develop but thats just was to much for what it actualy lets me do.
i wouldnt mind paying 10 20 even 30 usd but not 60
and developers wonder why people upload applications and share pah

Calendar organization in 4.00.10 different from PPC2002?

I noticed that I cannot sync my calendar completely anymore. I use ActiveSync 3.7+Lotus EasySync Pro 4.1 ENG for this. After the upgrade to 4.00.10 I can still sync contacts and recurring things like birthdays, but no appointments/meetings. The fieldmapping in EasySync Pro looks the same as before in PPC2002, there must be a difference somehow in 4.00.10.
Does anyone know where the difference comes from?
4.00.10 is based on wm2003. so of course there are alot of changes internally. is Easysync pro 4.1 compatable with wm2003? check with the manufacturer to make sure that it is.
The IBM Lotus website says nothing but CE+ PPC+PPC2002, but it is the same text there since may 2002. They do not actively support it.
There is no helpdesk etc. Which I do not like since I paid $70 for this tool.
I need to find a workaround either in EasySync Pro or in WM2003 - so far could not find any. Anyone?
Tried everything to get easysick toork, with no joy. IBM support is a joke.
I switched to mNotes from Cadenza available at commontime.com it works great!
Wish I'd known about it before I shelled out for easysick :?
tx for the tip. I noticed I can get EasySync Pro to work with WM2003 when I sync less than 500 items in my calendar (bye, bye 5 year history). Anyway, I'll check Cadenza
@all:
i have xtndconnect 4.7 here. i can sync adress book, calendar and notes. but syncing EMAIL with lotus notes is a real mess.
all my inbox mails go crippled to "draft". so it's useless.
any comments?
regards ize|man
xtndconnect is the same as EasySync. I think lotus have licensed it some how. As I said in my previous post, it sucks at the best of times and is nearly as useless under wm2003 as lotus support for it.
Try cadenza's mNotes you will not regret it. I think they have a free trial at commontime.com
PS I do not work for Cadenza :!:
I do. The company is CommonTime, not Cadenza - Cadenza *was* the name of the product, but now we have mNotes and mForms. Soon we'll be releasing mControl, mSecure OTA and mSecure PDA - and a new website which I'm doing parts of. The new Evaluation system does not require you to enter any details on the website until you come for support or if you like it enough to buy it

What Finance proggie do you use?

Hi, just wanted to know a good finance program for my pocket, doesn't matter if it's a freeware or shareware. your recommendation is appreciated.
There are two main ones out there that are pretty good. Both support synchronization with MS Money (neither sync to the 2007 version yet but have updates pending) or Quicken. Very much suggest trying the demos of both to see what works for you best:
SPB Finance: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/finance/?en
Inesoft Cash Organizer: http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=premium.htm

Have used Cash Organizer for years!! Suits my needs allowing for scheduled/recurring transaction and setup of multiple accounts. Stores the transactions in registry dB's so upgrading app doesnt mean loosing all the data. Also provides very simple backup of data. Finally there is a today plugin if needed (I have never used that part)
Matt
I've tried all three (that I know of):
MS Money for Pocket PC (free)
spb Finance ($25)
Cash Organizer ($25)
MS Money is flakey, I've had it lose transactions. Also it doesn't want to sync with Desktop MS Money using AKU 2.3
SPB Finance seemed okay but I just didn't like the "Look & Feel" also there were some sync issues and I hate that. I just seemed a bit limited, you know felt like it should do more (seems mature compared to MS Money for PPC but really isn't).
I'm currently on the trial period of Cash Organizer and I'm loving it. It's almost like having full-blow MS Money on my phone and the sync hasn't failed me yet. I'm gonna buy this one!

Is syncing with ANYTHING but Outlook possible?

I have had it with Outlook. I loved my Palm Desktop - one job and it did it extremely well. Now with Outlook syncing on 2 machines it's managed to duplicate every note, manages to change my contacts all the time. My wife is no longer listed by her name but by her email address. I have about 2 dozen contacts that are listed 4+ times, Outlook always bombs trying to get 1 email message thats 1k big... I can keep going.
I hate OUTLOOK!!!
So please, can I sync to anything Anything ANYTHING but outlook!!!
Thanks in advance
Well, yes, if you have a Mac around
I also just switched over from Palm and I too hated Outlook when I first had to deal with it.
So I got this: http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.php and am happily syncing with my Intel iMac through both Entourage and Apple Mail. Much happier now
You can use FinchSync to sync with Mozilla Lightning and Sunbird. Yes it does work with WM2k5.
I'll try the Fynchsync but there's gotta be something else out there that this crappy phone can connect with.
Any ideas?
I could never get Outlook to work...
I've been using Yahoo Go....

I tried FynchSync.. it seems alright when I install it.. etc. However, at the last step of getting a link to sync, I notice that it still needs active sync (e.g. if you do it via USB cable). Sigh. But I think you ought to able to do it via wireless.
Sync with Lotus Notes using mNotes
You can sync with Lotus Notes (if you really want to use this as your client) as well. I'm lucky :?: enough to have this at work and have bought a personal license of CommonTime mNotes. It's £40, which is a little excessive, but it does a good job and I've not encountered any problems yet.
Check it out here - http://www.commontime.com

SMS Syncing with Outlook/PC

Do any more of these exist other then Jeyo?
I've tried Jeyo and it doesn't play nice with Vista/Outlook 2007 - are there any others?
I dont mind if it's a stand alone application rather than an outlook plugin, but the latter is preferred.
Cheers
I have a program SMS Cool
I got it from Handango.
If you email me I can send you details, or you can get a demo of it.
That looks like it's been a while since it's been updated - not sure if it'll work with the new active sync/MDC in Vista?

Lotus Notes and Push Email- possible ?

Hi Guys
Long time lurker who has lusted after the X1 for quite some time.
I am persuading work to buy me one over the Blackberry that they prefer to supply us.
However I need demonstrate to them that I can receive emails whilst out and about . Trouble is we use Lotus Notes at work.
Will something like Commontime mNotes do the trick and is it possible to do what I want ? (receive emails from my lotus notes work server whilst out and about on the road)
In case it is relevant I am on Optus in Australia.
Cheers for reading.
You can use blackberry client for windows mobile, it seems it works great. For my concern I use XTNDConnect PC to synchronize my X1 and Lotus Notes 6. Follow the link (sorry in french but you can easily translate it) : http://www.smartphonefrance.info/actu.asp?ID=4877
If you have problems for translation : ask me
Ludovic
I am using Lotus Traveler, which a free application from Notes to sync your mail, your tasks, your contacts, even notes (the notes are within your mail template allready but not directly accessable, our notes IT guy changeed the standard mail template a little but - was a 5min hack - and schwupdiwup I have now notes) are possible.
It works quite well, previoulsy I had also xtnd connect but now not any more.
BUT: You have to set up a seperate server who is running this Traveller application in your company.
It is working also like push mail (realy within a minute or so) but than this is sucking the battery very quickly, so I am just "kicking" it from time to time to retrieve my mails.
You need to install a cab file on your phone do the setup and than it works.
In the futere I have heard it should be alos available for Symbian and iPhone but so far since 1 year only WM is availalbe.
Best regards
dingolino
Happy New Year all
Thanks for the replies and suggestions.
So, the good news appears to be I can set up the Xperia to receive emails on a regular basis whilst out and about like a Blackberry would ?
Time to start the work negotiations !
