Anyone has Chinese fonts? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi!
I have a XDA Exec and I'm doing business with Chinese people. So I really need Chinese fonts and Chinese keyboard for my EXEC. If anyone has that fonts, pls share it to me? Thanks so much.

There is no free chinese keyboard program (also know as a Software Input Panel or SIP). The ones in the market are Monster Chinese or CEStar.
As for chinese display fonts, there are paid solutions (Monster Chinese ad CEStar) , as well as a CAB file floating around which will allow reading of chinese characters after a soft reset. I think the CAB file can be found on the trensd mobile website (singapore)
Disclaimer: I am NOT an employee of trends mobile.

yes there are chinese fonts available, both reading and writing, I am using them on my exec now as we speak.
you can get them plus lots of other working software here > http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9108573666&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&rd=1
i can read all chinese on my exec
i can also WRITE and TYPE chinese too, although the keyboard is not reliable, but the fonts for reading work perfect

Also whereabouts in VN are you situated? If you are HCM then let me know and I will give you the address of my shop to come into and you can get it done there also.

What a pity! In Vietnam we can not buy anything through ebay. And I'm living in Hanoi. S***! Why am I so unluckly? Anyone helps me plz......!

Browsing Websites in (simplified) Chinese

Hi there,
is there anybody who can give me a hint how I can browse Chinese websites? If I check the "Options" of Internet Explorer I can switch on support for several languages but all of them are European.
Does a program like Monster Chinese fix this problem? I guess there is a very easy solution, but as I am a newbie to ppc I am not sure how to fix it.
Thx
Bobopopo
Hi all,
I'm interested in this possibility too. However not Chinese (traditional or simplified) but in Korean.
Anybody knows?
Greetz...
Hi bobopopo, i've Monster Chinese installed in my XDA II and i can view the chinese websites without any problem...

Therefore I moved to China, I would like to have the chinese characters on my Herm100. I'm not experienced with XDA at all, so it would be great if somebody could help.
Thanks Mark
get ce-star
i think CE-STAR not good for hermes. Microsoft YAHEI5.0 for chinese support and PLUM5.0 for chinese input.if u understand chinese. go to www.pdafans.com collect info. about this.
Have a look at the following post regarding your main two options: CE-Star, or Monster Chinese...

Chinese Read/Write for X1

Guys,
Do you know where I can download a copy of the cracked CE Star or Chinese Input Program for X1?
Is there a way to just display/read Chinese characters in documents, web browser and messages?
I don't care about input, just want to read chinese messages I receive from time to time.

New guy here........just ordered my X1 here in SOCAL from Sony and should be have it by the end of the month.....
I also need the option to read and input chinese for my phone......but would still like to keep the OS in english.....will I be able to do this when I install CE Star?
Guys,
You can try to download from the below link :
http://www.pda4x.com/read.php?tid=84058&keyword=ce-star
problem with CE star and those third party Native lang input solution is that they break some of the default/factory settings such as symbol/ascent key, word completion, etc. In the case of CE star, it also creates abit of unstability to the system, at least for its earlier version.
if you are like me, who do not use Chinese input 98% of your time, then maybe a workaround solution like "Multi Lang editor" would be useful.
the hk version X1 is bundled CE-Star, it works fine and support Chinese UI display
Search CE START 2.8 R3 on WWW.XUNLEI.COM
I have posted a link for the crack version of CE-Star Ver 2.8 R3C already and I have installed successfully on my X1.
Friends, here is NOT the place to post or publish crack software, so please be respect in this forums.
BTW, I brought X1 at HK and bundle with CE-Star, works extremely good in my X1 and even can support Chinese menu. So, buy a licenced CE-Star if you'd like to read/write chinese.
Hi, sorry but could you please kindly teach me on how to install the multi lang editor? Where can I get the software?
Actually previously I installed a language patch for WM5 which worked successfully, but in the end my messenger and hotmail are unable to log in. So, just wondering if installing this will also bring problem to your x1?

Hi, I recently bought the X1 and also installed CE-Star (legal copy), now, my google map menu somehow changes to Chinese.. How do you set it back to English? I just want to use CE-Star for SMS only..
I did not auto load CE-Star at start up...
Pls advise
You should be able to change the language settings for menus etc look for 语言 and then 英文 or 英语 or even English.
do you feel lagging after you install CE-Star? I feel lagging after i install CE-Star

Blame stupid Google map for not giving option to choose language but detect it based on regional setting (What if a foreigner travel to HK and don't understand Chinese???). If you just need the change the menu, delete all the dll from the google map folder will do the trick (but the display content will still be Chinese). Otherwise, change the regional setting to UK or US.

HTC HD2 Japanese input with HTC Sense

Hello people.
This site is very amazing!

I hope can use original ROM + something for write in Japanese, possibly with a keyboard that suits his hands like HTC defoult, even better if it is just original HTC.
Unfortunately I can not find an original Japanese ROM for this handheld because as you know in Japan is not on the market.
Here there 'so many people prepared, I hope so much that "BeeGee_Tokyo" or others for the solution at my problem..

That's not a very smart solution.
Hey, check out this thread. These users, Joseng and dioxda2, have successfully did it for Chinese (traditional & simplified, even Hongkong/Cantonese characters)! You just need to PM them for Japanese fonts...voila! At least that's what I guess.
thancks for reply BumAround.
font are not a problem, i read japanese with no-problem.
My problem is:
I need to have keyboard (input) of Japanese characters ..
thank you anyway for your reply ..

Well, read before you replied, my friend.
Why don't you go to the thread I was referring to and learn a bit about language pack. Maybe the users I mentioned know about Japanese IME (keyboard/handwriting input).
And yes, fonts matter, and you're gonna need them for display support.
ah, ok boy, very thanks for you reply -^

I tried that solution but the keyboard is very awkward to use with my hands, I have very big fingers ...
thanks all the same anyway
Hi Guys,
I'm user of HT2 (T9193) with completely Japanese style. Reading and writing no issue at all
Although I have slightly bigger finger than you p), I can input correct word through keyboard, no problem.
I'm using FingerKeyboard. Thanks to all pioneers, we have a lot of skins for Japanese, too. (You can refer mine as attachment.)
Please try it.

99.99% work east asian fonts support (incl. chinese, japanese & korean) and locale

99.99% work east asian fonts support (incl. chinese, japanese & korean) and locale
hi friends,
i've made a cab to view chinese, japanese and korean for windows mobile (tested on my Xperia X2 WM6.5.3 and should be working fine with other versions). just install the <East Asian Fonts Support.cab> and do a soft reset. if you want to input chinese, i suggest using baidu input, plumsip or qq pinyin.
if you face difficulties in reading emails and browsing using ie, you may also need to install <Reloadnls.cab> to have the necessary code pages. ce star is using old wince.nls so please do NOT use ce star for your device or you will brick it. since wm6.5.3, the codes pages are no longer saved in registry but in wince.nls. the wince.nls is extracted from a taiwan rom (wm6.5.3) of x2.
please remember to do a full backup before installing the cabs!!
by the way does anyone have the latest wm6.5 rom for Xperia X2? many thanks!
for any issues or problems please feel free to let me know.
Thanks, good work.
great job, thx
Thanks. Hopefully this work for me too!
thanx a lot man..
can I Remove reload
Thanks a lot for your post, for Opera and IE it works great, but for outlook it still shows square, in this case can i use add/remove program to correct outlook?

in this case you need to choose the correct coding (e.g. unicode, BIG5, etc) for the email message, or the messages contain wrong coding which cannot be displayed correctly.
Any chance for a japanese language pack?
great job, thx

it supposes to be able to display Japanese.
my device shows Japanese correctly.
I am able to use these on my touch pro 2 with customized ROMS. It works very well until I tried to input Chinese. For all the Chinese input methods I tried, the menu of the input methods display blocks. Do you know a solution to this problem?
great works! thanks!
going to try now, look promising
you scared me. i installed CE Star (including pinyin input method) after flashing a 6.5.3 rom, and it displays chinese fonts correctly in IE, Opera, Outlook, AlReader, etc. But some fonts in S2P are messed up. But no way it would brick my Samsung Omnia2.
hi,
I installed your .cad but i faced two things:
1 - Using Opera 9.7 and i can't view japanese in google search result page, but i can view japanese when click on the link and go to target page.i do not know why
2 - Using Ressco keyboard pro 6.0, setting up second language is japanese, switch to japan keyboard and only square with a question mark within of the keypad showed up.
please help me get through this.
Thanks
Thank you for doing such a good font for us!
thank a lot ...
Can use in WM6.1 ?
I will be try for HTC Touch Daimond2.
It works pretty good!
I have searched this for quite a while, thanks for shareing.
Thank you
I've been looking for something like this. My OmniaII originally came from Hong Kong, but after I flashed it with Energy/MS Team ROMs, I lost support for east asian languages. Loading Meiryo fonts didn't help (primarily need Japanese support) much and worked very randomly. I'll give your method a try
By the way, do you know a good ime for Japanese? I've used ookii's, but I don't always have my stylus and sometimes I don't remember a kanji ^^'
I've tried CE-Star 2.8R3C, but it broke more than it fixed D: Thank god you try their software before you buy
Isn't it possible to rip the IME from a Japanese Windows Mobile 6.5(.3) unit? Something like the one used on Toshiba's or Samsung Omnia I, which actually got a Japanese version?
Great jobs!
Thanks for the apps!
