Radio Stack v6.25.02? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Is this the latest, greatist RSU for the Wallaby?
I know there is a confusion of versions out there, and I can't seem to find if I have the latest one? :?
My radio stinks! I think I'm going to try to upgrade it.
Thanks,

upgrading radio stack only

Hi there,
Anyone tried just upgrading the radio stack?
My xda already has the latest UK rom version 3.14.13 (it was bought in March) and its Radio version is 4.08, so hence my question...
Can anyone offer any advice? - as it appears some people have had problems just upgrading the radio stack.
Common sense would dictate that this should work, but hey, we're talking Microsoft products!
just done it ok... the process goes smoothly, and doesnt seem to need a "cold" reset.
Hi derekcfoley
I've done it from 4.08 to 4.14 to 4.16. No problem.
I do not see much diffrence though.
I used always the rsu from the web.

what version of radio stack for what country and what device

hi all!
i just upgraded to ppc2000 /version 4.00.01 eng on my austrian t-mobile mda.
that does work. but as i tried the earlier version of it (imho 3.xx) before i think that connecting to gprs was WAYS faster. so i thought of up/downgrading my radio stack which is 3.16 at the moment.
some ppl are saying they use version 4 or even 6... BUT: can i use them as well? what are the limitations ???
here we use gsm 900/1800 so i guess any us-att stack that is meant for 1900 won't work, right?
so: what version to use, and what do you suggest?
and one more Q: upgrading OS does NOT upgrade the radio stack, right?
pls anybody confirm.
thanx!

As long as you are using a cooked ROM, or .nbf file on SD card ... be careful as some opertors' upgrade contains both RSU and ROM update in one exe file!

Downgrading RADIO version in WM6

Can anyone help me? I'd like to downgrade the Radio version on my P3300. Due to a bluetooth problem in WM6 see thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353071, my carkit won't recognise my connection on the Artemis.
Maybe, by downgrading the Radio version to a WM5 version, I'd might solve the problem?!
Is there someone out there who can provide me a 'old' version?
Fred
Older radio-versions can be found here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_RadioUpgrades (listed from oldest to newest). Radio 02.98.90 works fine for me, I had some issues with 03.07.90 on battery use. You can just try it out, doesnt need a hard reset.
what are the radio upgrades good for anyways? i still dont know it.

Like in a Desktop PC you can run different Versions of OSs (Windows XP\Vista, Linux, Mac) and still change Firmware Versions of Hardware Components (Disk Drive, WLAN Chip, Soundcard) indipendently.
The Radio ROM Only affects the Radio Unit of a device, maybe affecting the battery duration time or increasing Call Quality or whatever has to do with the radio part of a phone. However it is independend from the OS.
if i try one of those radio upgrades, would it affect (for example) the SDHC patch i installed on my phone (P3300 wm6)?
any info page/link on what exactly each release of radio upgrades improves, and a how-to to install it?
