see - how to enable analogClock on O2 XDA Exec - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi
I thought of sharing this: to enable the analog clock on the top bar instead of digital change the following setting in the registry:
HKEY_CURENT_USER\software\Microsoft\shell
and change Analogclock to 0x1, soft reset and there you have it.
Enjoy ...

why don't you just press and hold on the time on the bar? You get a pop-up with anaolog or digital on it to choose from?
joe

damn, beat me to it

but doing it through the registry is l33t

DOH ...

the method works in all devices with WM5 installed

And on my XDA IIs......

still, it's nice to have the reg key documented in the forums, so worthwhile doing it
joe

Oh Man if I knew there are clever people like you here I wouldn't have bothered with this discovery.
It was a simple ignorant on my part - I did not know I can do that from the icon; I saw it in the registry and I thouhgt of sharing it. It was that simple. Then coems someone like you eager to show the world how smart his ass is.
A blow job would have been much more beneficial than responding to this post.

I want to THANK...

Whom do you want to thank?
Do you want to say thank you for
- helping
- ROMs
- Ideas
- Tools
- or just for beeing a memeber of Herald/Wing-Community....
Do it here! With my 2000th post I wanted to start a thread to say
THANK YOU
espacially to:
Itje - my mentor
Gambit - my testing friend
Pureskillzz - damn he tested sooo much for me
Anichillus - a good friend
Ttran - chatting and joking
Ivanmmj - everytime wondering what will be his next project
Duprade - where are you??
Ikarus - for Batterystatus
And you????
Not sure what to say, but I definitely have to thank you Daniel for being the backbone here in this community
and Itje for being a pioneer in developing impressive ROMs for the Herald.
Of course I have to mention Ivan, Duprade, Pureskillz and Aserg for their never ending effort in helping out wherever they can,
But Itje and Papamopps truly formed this community in the first place untill today.
Thanks to all of you for making this forum a damn cool place to be!
Ah well, here you go Daniel...
CONGRATULATIONS to your 2000 post here at XDA-DEV
congrats, just looking forward to herald un-brick!!
I know dude! I've been extremely busy..
graduating this Saturday ... and I took an overload of classes, I even had to get approval from the Dean in order to take that many ... so the past month has been rough!! My last final exam is tomorrow ... then Saturday I graduate!
My hat is off to :
ITJE - the godfather of the Herald rom
Aserg - great contributions
Papamopps - who is THE LAW, and keeps us in line.
and everyone else at XDA. Without you guys, this place would be nothing. When you check out any other PPC forum, they all suck.
I would just like to say thanks to anyone who has looked into, figured out, built, shared, sweated, toiled, worked on, researched, helped, or just plain old helped someone head in the right direction. There is no way to list you all, but you know who you are. Thanks a million.
I can say nothing more than the post above. I agree fully. THANK YOU!!!! My wing wouldn't be the same without all of you.
I just wanted to say a BIG thanks to everyone really. If it wasn't for this site, I would have the slick phone mods I do. I also wanted to give a big thanks to ilikepu for helping me with my questions personally. This website rocks.
Huge thanks to all the developers, XDA staff and the nice people who visit the forums.
Congrats papamopps on the 2k posts. Now get a proper spell checker ffs

If you can read this text.....
Thank a programmer!
I thought my wing was cool when i took it out of the box. two hours later i wanted to get my money back. I stumbled into this forum from a google search. You have all made my wing the phone i believe it was intended to be. I would like to thank all of you who have designed/developed and just plain pointed out the obvious.
thanks
I want to thank Ivan for all his dedication and hard work. He's a real good mentor
I'm here as of my first HTC ( The Magician )
So I THANK all of you who helpt me with my Small and Big Problems and mistakes.
Ghostrider
I'd like to thank:
Itje, I have been flashing his roms since something like 1.x
Olipro, for the hard spl which allows me to flash all those great roms
All the other people on XDA that make my herald something that people actually envy
Thanks to Duprade and Tyler for they wrote the first posts here that I ever read and helped me to realize that I can "change" my phone instead of getting another when I get bored of it.
Thanks again to all who have said, "If you don't read all of the instructions, you will brick your phone and you are on your own." I read and then read again and then read some more. Brickless. (knocking on wood)
And most recently to Papamopps for his latest creation. It's sweet!
Oh and one more honorable mention to Duprade. Dude, without your keyboard fix a lot of us would be screwed.
I'd love to thank Ivan for his amazing easy bake oven.
i would like to thank papamopps for helping me with stuff and his wonderful roms.
ivan for all his tools and teachings posted.
m3xican5 for teaching me stuff that would make my future skins better.
itje for great roms as well.
and the list goes on...
I didn't realize people had thanked me here. ^_^ Thank you guys.

Tweaks for a noob to get better functionality out of the phone

Hi Guys,
Have had my TD2 for a few months and whilst it is a nice looking phone, I find that navigating it can get very laggy sometimes so looking for some tweaks or updates I can perform to get the most out of the phone.
Can someone direct me?
Cheers

No problem Bro...I've been flamed by the best, but am sharp enough to know the difference between "teaching" and "flaming".

If only....

I'd take it.

That camera is amazing.
If only this had been posted in the General area of XDA?
If only this CDMA forum had the five parts?
General
Q & A
Development
Accessories
Themes & Wallpapers
Apps & Games
Then maybe we could actually find CDMA stuff instead of the latest WinMo, iPhone, or any other BS post thrown out there for us to sift thru'
Ok, I'm done....heading for the morning coffee now!
Thanks,
Bubba.

His largeness is his power, like chi - bursting with it!
You didn't notice seagal mode in the show? where he slows down time to scope things out?
didnt he molest someone and is getting stripped of his "badge" or something?
I think he "strip searched" someone and they molested him.
But then they decided to sue him for ****ty strip search!
Thanks,
Bubba.

Thanks to the Community

Hey guys, I'm gonna go a little softy here...you know...since I'm usually ruff, tuff and meaner than a rattle snake, lol
But really, I've noticed a major change in our coummunity lately and for the better. People seem to finally be coming together and helping each other out and not flaming each other back and forth. People are actually working with each other and answering questions instead of yelling 'newbie go find search button'.
I know we've had some issues between us and the mods of late but I think everything is working out for the best. I'm sure things will get better once the changes with xda get buffered and tuned.
You know what guys? This is what its all about right here. A good device, good people and good friends. I think I can finally once again kick back and say I am proud to be an Incredible! And I am most definitely proud to be part of this community!
Thanks guys and lets keep this greatness going people.

Hmmm... I don't see in the above code where you unmounted Mean Mode and mounted Thanks mode... So you may still have been accidentally stuck in Mean Mode while thanking the community?! How could this be??!!
Day = long, sorry for this...
I agree. It seems like there are huge "flare ups" around here every so often, and they come and go. Things seemed to have mellowed out for now, and people seem to being nice and helping out, like you said.
It's way better that way, for sure.
You're absolutely right WildStang. I've seen a lot more cooperation and a lot less kicking and screaming like 4 year olds. Thanks to all the hard working devs for their roms, kernels, etc. Thank you to all you forum goers who take the time to help out everyone else out here!

Hear, hear for the community spirit in the forum.
I for one love the fact that most of the questions or concerns in my threads are answered by other members before I even get a chance. That is the sign of a healthy community, members helping members.
Oh yeah, they are also giving better answers than me.
Congratulations, Would have been terrible to see you go. I love your Business Gingersense Rom Ver 3. Well done, thanks to everyone who supported you.

Community
The hallmarks of an effective community are involvement, creativity, tolerance, passion, confluence and respect.
XDA Developers has a history of innovation, and a reputation for looking imaginatively at different ways of doing things, influencing the environment in which they operate and learning from, and sharing with, others.
Recognition is deserved for those who volunteer real time and effort to advance not only the products that we so love, but the knowledge, understanding and experience of the end user as well.
It is an honor to acknowledge my appreciation for this fellowship.
Much love my friends.
