I want to setup my Bluetooth GPS BT-338 from Globalsat setup with my Cingular 8125 (aka Wizard) phone which runs WM5. I have successfully connected the phone to my laptop and to two of my BT headsets successfully. I have also been able to pair the BT GPS with my laptop and run SiRFDemo to check the unit. It shows the satellites locked on to correctly.
When I try to connect the same BT GPSr to my phone, I can go thru the Bluetooth settings, detect the device, pair it, but when I run the GPSinfo utility on the phone (supposedly the latest one from usglobalsat.com website which says that it supports WM5), it either doesn't launch or when it does, it doesn't scan and show the serial ports I want. It shows only the COM ports that are already in use by other devices. See the screenshot of GPSInfo below:

When I look at the BT settings in the knowledgebase, the menus shown there doesn't match that of my phone.
Any help highly appreciated.

Tremendous thanks to those who enable me to upgrade the ROM to version 1.11, which allows me to select the bluetooth com port.
I am now able to deliver powerpoint presentations (1024 x 768 resolutions) remotely from my i-mate JAM through a bluetooth device iGo Pitch Duo produced by Mobility Electronics.
All I need to do is:
1. Plug the vga cord of the LCD projector into Pitch Duo (with a bluetooth USB adaptor)
2. Power on the Pitch Duo
3. Run iPresent on my pocket PC, at a distance of up to 10 m from the projector.
I had been frustrated because of buying this product then to realise that it does not work on my i-mate JAM of older ROM versions.
Wow, that sounds great. But 329€... hmm.

They claimed it would be available for 279$, meaning 215€... that sounds fair to me. But well, this way they won't get me as customer.

Can anyone advise if the mini USB out port could be used to connect the Hermes to an external touchscreen LCD monitor, e.g. as included in a built in car satnav system. I have a built in touchscreen satnav in my car (Subaru Legacy) and would love to hook my PDA up to it and use Tom Tom, WM and all my other PDA functions via this large touchscreen whilst on the move. I alraedy have a parrot MK6000 to handle the sound side of things.

usb host is required for a pda to use any other usb device

Hi,
I got some issues with my bluetooth connection on my px3. I tried a couple things like upgrading firmware, back to factory settings, changing the BT module type, but nothing worked.
I also can't enable the BT function. The screen is stuck on initialising, see screenshot.
Anyone have an idea what how i can fix this?

I have the same problem and no solution for this
Temporary it helps to reset the bluetooth settings in "apps". Then I can connect to "GocAndroid". But after the next start it is again on CAR KIT and no connection ist possible.
Did you solved this issue? I have the PX6 with Android 9.0
Same Problem. Please help.
From the reverse engineering I've done on the bTSuite.apk, which is the app controlling the bluetooth screen, the CAR KIT name and the 0000 pin is usually selected when the car cannot find the proper configuration code for like bluetooth module, type of car, type of UI and so on.
The flow of the app, once you open it, is filled with conditionals for each bluetooth module, type of car and so on. If the conditionals reach the end because it cannot match the correct code, then it defaults to that name and pin
My android head unit is for madza2 2015
spec below
Purpose : I want to control RSX-GS9(radio receiver) by HU via bluetooth. But cannot connect.
From below photo i know my HU has two way bluetooth
- Bluetooth for audio (Car app interface)
- Bluetooth for OBD (Android interface)
I have to connect RSX-GS9 by bluetooth for audio but their require password to pair. For sure my RSX-GS9 cannot input password,so I cannot pair
I try to pair by bluetooth for OBD it’s success pair because it’s normal android interface no any require.
But cannot RSX-GS9 application for control.
So, please suggest me how can I connect RSX-GS9 via bluetooth audio without password require.
