Has anyone of you gurus encountered problems with the Align Screen Hotkey combination yet?
Pressing both the envelope button (left above the screen or keynumber 0xc1) and the select button (0x86) inside the 4-way directional button (0x86) activates the 'Align Screen' tool.
I recently installed Pocket SNES and i've assigned many buttons to the emulator. While playing and by (accidentally) pressing the 2 buttons simultaniously, the Align Screen tool pops up, resulting in a situation where i can't close any of the 2 apps anymore.
A soft reset is the only way to recover from this situation.
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable or to remap the Align Screen Hotkey combination?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Mike

hello guys,
on my HTC Wizard if you press the center key of the d-pad (joystick) along with the Message key (Calendar key in different PocketPCs), it takes you directly to the Align Screen page, where you have to align your screen.
when using MorphGear, i like to hold my Wizard in landscape mode and use the d-pad with my left hand and use the Message button as 'A' and Explorer button as 'B', So during my gameplay i'm accidentally opening the 'Align Screen' page, which i cannot bypass except after going through the alignment process.
it's a pain, and it's ruining my gameplay experience.
i searched around and couldn't find a quick solution to the problem, that's why i posted here hoping that a hacker will help me.
thanks,
This is old, but wondering about the same thing. at least I searched
Hi,
I'm having a problem with Java apps and I did not find a solution for it for 2 weeks now so I decided to try experts help.
I wanna play some Java games but none of them seem to recognize the software buttons that are as you know located on the touch screen. I think Java apps do not realize that there's a touchscreen at all. I tried apps like AEBButtons (or something) to remap other hardware key but none seemed to work Is there a solution?
I'm using JBed 20080222.3.1
Please help.
I think you have to use AE Button Plus or go to button icon under settings to map the left and right softkeys. Those are the buttons shown on screen but cant be used by Jbed.
Hope that helps.
Yeah !! This works but I can define only one button there (camera button). Is there a way to add more buttons, like D-pad directions as you've said ??
I actually ended up using the volume up and down buttons as the left and right softkeys through AEBPlus. But There are options for long press button actions and other things so its just finding which button suits you best. BTW, I tried adding actions to the D pad but never managed it using AEBPlus (it didt recognise it when i pressed it).
EDIT: Well i finally found it:

works on trinity! thanks vijay555!! i use vjtoggletoday on every boot now i add another super useful file by you many thanks!!
every time i press the voice speed dial button and the record button simultaneously it sends me to the screen alignment tool.
is there a way maybe a registry change to not send me to that screen when i press those buttons?
even in games and apps where i have the keys remapped to those two keys as soon as i accidentally press them together it makes me realign the screen its frustrating. TiA!
well after more messing around i realize it is the action button and the voice speed dial buttons pressed together to launch screen alignment.
like i said it is horrible feature it interrupts everything i try to do. please someone help me disable this. anyone?
Remove Auto-Algin Shortcut
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi
Was wondering do any of you wonderful people know how to turn of the shortcut for the auto algin screen. I have a HTC Touch diamond and everytime you Push the Volume key and action key at the same time it launches the algin screen Very frustraing in GBA how can i disable this...?
I think you mean allign? Don't know how to turn it off though, my solution was to change the buttons so the combination is never used. I think the combination was volume up and OK
Thanks Paul...
I have tried that, but there are not enough buttons on htc Diamond... the only keys i can map are the Centre key the 2 volume keys and the back button. the rest dont work..... but thanks any way
The program "Black me 1.4" seems to be able to lock all keys and leave the D-pad (round center key) unlocked. You can turn on the screen by clicking the D-pad but the only thing is that you always have to close your application's screen every time. Is there a way to not get the the programs screen every time you click on the D-pad to turn it on?
And maybe with this feature of being able to disable all keys with the exception of the D-pad, this could be a great idea for creating a Selective key lock. On WM, under Settings, you can find "Key lock" and then you only have 3 options:
1) Lock all buttons except Power button
2) Lock (all) buttons if device is locked
3) Do not lock buttons
Maybe you can add the option of: Lock all buttons except D-pad and Power button.
That could be cool
Also the volume up and down could be added as exceptions, so if you have it in your pocket you can silence it without having to turn it on and then nobody sees you do that.
Thank you!
