desription of the problem: I connect to GPRS, then I move to the place where there is no signal at all, naturally GPRS connection dissapears, then I move to the place with signal and try to connect to GPRS, AND I cannot!!!
The only solution is to turn wireless mode on and then turn it off. And only after these actions I can connect to GPRS. Can I do anything with that?

Hi
Has anyone experienced not being able to reestablish GPRS connection after making a telephone call? I have to turn off the the wireless and back on and then be able to reconnect with GPRS.
Hi,
Got my Jasjar today and very happy with it. I am in and out of a LOT of Wifi zones daily so was wondering if there is a way, when WiFi and GPRS are both on and im in a WiFi area all net connections use WiFi not GPRS/3G if both are active.
I did a test and it seemed my messenger program was still using the GPRS connection when on the WiFi Network.

I need to get a proper answer - but I have discovered this.
I walked home from work the other day on MSN using 3G.
I arrived home, and the unit picked up my WiFi signal and connected.
I then dropped the phone (radio) link using the control panel.
The MSN connection remained active, and I remained on WiFi even when bringing up the phone radio again. WiFi was definately being used in this instance.
I wasn't able to tell whether or not this would work WITHOUT turning the phone part off and back on again.
Yeah that is whats happening here. I put on GPRS monnitor and set it to watch the GPRS connection only and hit my WiFi spot, even when wifi was connected it was still using the GPRS to send/recieve internet data. If I then turn off GPRS the it carrys on as if nothing had happened on Wifi.
With the cost of mobile Data these days it really should always default to a connected WiFi connection if its available and not the GPRS/3G connection.
I suppose a utility that disconnected GPRS when a WiFi connection becomes active would effectively do this as once you are out of the WiFi spot GPRS would be initiated to make connection.

Same problem here ... I want my Qtek 9100 to always use my WLAN network if available. If not available it can use EDGE/GPRS.
Seems like the device turns of WLAN in standby mode and use GPRS in such cases.
well i do not know what to do. I turn off data conection and connect to wifi - anyway any aplication using internet conection again turns the data conection on (gprs/edge) and i am connected this slow and costly way. It s ignoring the wifi connection. Is there any solution for this problem ?? from apps i have only installed fingerkeyboard 2. rom 1.14
(when i go to connections - it shows both connections internet CZ -(gprs,3g) and arlive_top (wlan) - in the same time.
I hav GPRS enable on my phone and at my home i have a WiFi
So when i connect to the internet from my phone when i am at home it always connects using GPRS but i want to connect it through Wifi when i am at home...Is there any optio through which i can select as to how i want to connect to the internet i.e. either by GPRS or Wifi??
Plz help
disconnect your gprs connection just clikc on the Edge Icon on the top bar and then and disconnect the t-mobile data connection and then manually connect to wifi spot and it shouldnt connect through ur gprs until u want it to
If you have WiFi turned on, it'll automatically try to find a network it can connect you and notify you of the best connection. If it doesn't WiFi may not be on, you can check in the Comm Manager to make sure its on. If it is on, you can click the WiFi icon on the top bar and select your network.
The phone will automatically use Wifi instead of GPRS if WiFi is connected. If it tries to connect through GPRS it is either because WiFi is disabled or WiFi isn't connected to a network.
