I have a T-mobile originally PW10B, but after downgrading it to a version 3.17.03 and radio 6.24.00 it shows that it is PW10A1. I made it to unlock the phone. Now it works fine except a poor signal receive in places where other units are very good. I tryed to upgrade radio with TMOradiostackupgradeR625.exe but it failed at the very beginning of operation. Made a cold reboot and backed up to an old one radio. Any ideas how to upgrade radio? And will it really be better signal after upgrading radio?

Has anybody done a ver 6.24 or 6.18 radio upgrade in New Zealand before. If so was it sucessfull as Im interested in upgrading if its safe?
I have been to scared to upgrade my radio but I would been keen to hear if you get any improvements in reception if you are game enough to upgrade yours

I am having trouble getting signal with my SX56 Siemens PPC.
I can`t figure out why I am not able to see any bar signal strengths and get the GSM part of the XDA is work. Also I tried changing the Frequency setting with bandswitch.exe to 900/1800 and still no difference.
Woud changing the frequency with the bootloader be a better method?
I have used three types of ROM versions and two RSU version to no avail.
1, Rom version A.20.17 - Radio A.20.10
2, Rom version 3.17.03 - Radio A.20.10
3, Rom version 3.20.6 Eng - Radio 4.21.00
4, Rom version 3.17.03 ENG - Radio 4.21.00 <<<<current settings which I might add are fantastic, great work xda-developers.
I have tried calling my service provider, but no help there.
Any help would be great.
I am located in Australia if that helps.

My Qtek 1010's radio reception is awful but do not have the courage to upgrade my radio stack due to numerous messages i read about broken radio stacks. Are there any available upgrades upgrading both radio stack and the os. If there are upgrade files available in this manner i believe os and radio stack should be compatible and upgrading will be less risky.
My rom is 4.01.12 eng (i upgraded via sdcard)
Radio version 3.25.01
Protocol version 32S54

all the bars signal are present, but when others try to call me my phone don,t receive the call and my friends say that hear a message "is not powered on or is out of region " , to correct this i need to power off and on again to work for 2 or 3 hours and then the same problem apear again, i already try to make a hard reset and uninstall skype, backgamon and antivirus with no success.
I´m using this phone in Telcel mexico, they don´t have this phone or any Rom upgrade specific for this carrier.
Do i need to upgrade to the latest Rom and radio version that apear in the i-mate kjam support page ? the latest Rom and Radio version in that page is
Rom 2.16.9.1
Radio 02.07.10
Ext. Rom 2.16.9.101
Or which upgrade do you recomend ?

try to upgrade to that official update. It is a solid rom. There are many choices for cooked roms and radio only roms you can try, but I would try the official one first without installing any additional software for a week or two. In my case I usually found that a clean rom usually works fine with receiving calls, but the software you install after, might cause clashes with radio. If you get a stable state then you can install your software one by one and try if there is any problem. Hope this helps.
I upgraded my o2 branded mini to
Photon/RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.36.401.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe
and it took fine HOWEVER my radio is listed as
0.63.05.18 and I found out that .36 is the latest Radio ROM.
Darkforces advises against messing with the radio,; is there a way around this to get the latest radio rom?
