I've installed the CAB files for the O2 GPRS and that's worked for months.
I tried sending picture messaging to friends over the last week and they don't get the picture.
I was under the impression that the MMS settings were in the same CAB file as the GPRS settings.
Can someone please attach the MMS settings?
Try this?

here are the normal tdc settings
the telmore would most likely be the same maybe with a different
mms server ip
i sugest you try and contact telmore for more info
Well. I've tried this guide, but I dont get the MMS option on the Today screen. I'm stuck - only having the "No unread messages" line. Any suggestions? Why doesnt the MMS option pop op on the Today screen?
well my qtek2020 have an item on the today screen just like that pdf describe at tdc's site i would asume that orange would have a program much like it
mms are not like sms and activsyncmails and normal mails
they dont pop up under messengers
my mms today screen item opens a program called mms composer made by arcsoft soware which handle the mms sending and recieving
Do you know where i can dl the software from? I think, thats what I need. I dont think Orange has included this sw.
This is how to do it:
1. Install the MMS application - download default_mms.zip and rename it to default_mms.cab. Then execute it on your M1000
2. Create a new Network - in my case it is called Telmore MMS
3. Create a connection for your new network.
Name: TDC MMS
Modem: Celluar Line (GPRS)
Access Point: mms
3. Start the MMS app and configure it to use the network Telmore MMS
I use different networks to avoid having to change the default modem each time I switch between MMS and GPRS browsing.

Thanks! I'm able to test it tonight/tomorrow. I'll post my results (luck ) with this one.
Just a newbie question. How do I execute the renamed .cab file?
cab files if renames can of cause be executed by you renaming them back to cab
if they are cab then using total commander give you the option run which execute and install the cab file in the process
i have installed the Merged version of WM2003SE by SIn, which I must say lookes and works really great! I just have one little problem! I cant send or recienve mms, When i try to send it says "Your message is larger than the sending limit you specified in 'Preferences'. to change the limit, select 'MMS Settings' from the Inbox Tools menu." I can't change it cause i can't see that specific Settings to change the limit is no where to be found, it's like it's missing from the window! All my settings are perfect, I can surf the web everything! If anyone has an idea for my minor problem thats turning into a mounten, please let me know!
Thank you all!!

I suppose you're using O2 XDA II. My problem was a bit different in that I could not view the recieved MMS and my recipient could not recieved my MMS.
I faced a similar problem recently when I tried to use MMS for my O2 XDA II with WM2003SE and ROM v2.06.00. My MMS composer was v2.0.0.13
Apparently, my telco carrier does not recognize v2.0.0.13 as the official MMS composer.
Now it works because I'm using MMS v1.6.0.8 from the original ROM v1.6.00 ie from WM2003.
I've recently acquired an xda mini s from 02 as a free upgrade, however i want to put a vodafone sim card in it.
I've got the gprs working, but the mms isnt at all.
I've tried numerous cab files, can anyone help? maybe typing the settings in by hand?
please
Jaxx
sounds like you've done a soft reset after a hard reset bypassing the extended rom install? The only way to get the MMS application is to hard reset and do a "Basic" install then remove the O2 stuff from the Windows startup folder. Once you've done this you'll have the MMS app with O2 settings that you can just change to Vodafone settings.
Ok, tried this and still not workin.
What is going on here?!
do you meand MMS isn't working still or you still don't even have MMS in Pocket outlook
Do a search for removing the O2 stuff, there are many topics with the cab files to install to recover the MMS inbox
If however you have the inbox, just not the settings call vodafone and get them to tell / e-mail you
or go here http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
I managed to fix this problem finally.
The problem was that the MMS software was trying to connect using the vodafone Live access point, which isn't correct. had to set up a whole new connection for the MMS settings, it is now working fine.
Any chance you could post those settings here as I'm having exactly the same problem?
SMS is fine it's just the MMS I cant get working, Inbox is there just the setting that seem to be wrong.
This helped me out:

I can now send, but not receive MMS with my voda sim on my mini-s
Perfect Thanks,
I can now send and recieve MMS, SMS and Surf the "world wide wait"
Not sure why you cant recieve MMS though, I followed your instructions to the letter and all worked straight away, albeit a bit slow but then I think that's a tarrif thing with Vodafone. (I'm on a corporate contract with my own unlocked Mini-s)
I dont suppose you know the URL to access the Vodafone live site as well do you?
Hello, I have the same issue. But l'm on O2 , using o2 mini S , device. I can receive and download MMS , but I can't send MMS to another person. Is the any thing I miss? l'm using corporate mode.
Not sure about the corporate mode but I do know that unless you have the settings in exactly the right places you will have problems.
This link from earlier in the post should help you solve your problem though.
The second link is for Vodafone but use it to give you an idea of where you should be setting up the various elements.
You could also try searching for "O2 MMS Settings"

Hi,
Could someone who is with Vodafone Australia post their settings for MMS.
I've set up GPRS and WAP and spoke with Vodafone support to get my MMS setup, but it does not seem to be working. It fails to send.
I'm using the latest O2 ROM where I have performed a soft reset before it customises, I have then run the two video phone CABs and the MMS shortcut cab.
I have the MMS folders available under Messages. I can create a MMS but fails to send.
I'm missing something and I would be interested to learn what.
Regards
Michael
There's a CAB file which simplifies things a lot (available from club imate). It will install all the settings for Vodafone MMS, and GRPS.
If you're still having troubles, I can post the CAB file - but I might not be able to do it till this weekend sometime. Unless someone else can post it first?
Here's the CAB file I was talking aobut.
These are the settings as provided by i-mate, and they work perfectly for me!
can you guys use vodafone live to ?
Yes and no.
I used settings from here:
http://aussie3g.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=15462
and changed the useragent as documented here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=29595
And I can browse vodafone live. As for downloading/streaming the video content - I'm still struggling!
i just flashed my 8525 yesterday with xda live and i have a problem. I had to manually input my MEdiaNet setting (i have cingular) and also my MMS setting in order to be able to download pictures. ANd in the "servers" tab under the mms settings i choose 'new' in order to input the correct settings but after I hit ok it doesnt do anything? which leaves me with no mms capabilities since the correct settings do not exist. I love the new os that was released yesterday( xda Live) but i need your help on this one!

There is a sticky at the top of the page to report issues with the XDA Live ROM have you posted this message there? The guys that worked on the ROM may only look at that thread for issues??
Re: MMS capability after rom flash
After several research attempts, I am unable to find a solution ot my current issue.
I used the flash rom to unlock sim and aside from the keyboard layout being changed (which I found the fix for and will try later tonight), I lost mms functionality.
There is no mms folder in the messaging application. There is no mms settings page, no mms anything at all.
I have not noticed anyone else having this problem.
Any ideas?
Thank you all very much in advance.

I was able to get it working by installing a cab file called arcsoft composer Z ( u can find somewhere in the posts) but when i installed that my text messaging stop working! so once i uninstalled the composer Z software my text started working again and i found my mms setting were available for editing... its just happened to work out like that i guess....
