Hi, firstly should really hi as this is my first post, so Hiya.
Ive got a mda compact II on t-mobile and wanted to know if there is a mod/hack that can edit the amount of characters that my device can view as a text message.
i currently get my email forwarded to 077**07**[email protected] which comes to my handset, only downside is that there is a limit on the characters and also html emails arnt viewed properly.

hi
i have a big problem, and i'm searching for a program...
i have a vodafone d2 sms-volume-package, 250 sms free per month, but i can't see how many sms i've send, because only the normal messages are displayed in the entrance so i can't see how many real sms i've send.
now i want:
an today plugin tool, where i can fill in the number of sms free for the month, and then the programm subtracs the number of sms from the 1. of each month so that i now how many sms left for me ?!
looks like this:
Free SMS: 250 - Send: 43 - Left: 207
please help me..

tag,
i would do this, i have experience in c# but somehow i cant setup a phone application, and i only get my xda mini tomorrow, so
if someone can tell me how to create mobile applications with the visual c# express (the free one) edition, help me out and i will do some applications
Try this
Try this Today Plugin (am using it on my O2 mini)
If you dont like it, can uninstall too
@Rockviech
You can't develop progs with the express edition because it does'nt have the required compact framework in it. You need the standard edition.
Hi,
i do need such a tool for my pocket pc WM 5 as well but the above tool freezes device. Even i cant setup or change anything in the tool for volume sms account (e.g. amount of SMS).
Is there any other useable tool out which is worth to buy or maybe free?
TIA,

Hi,
Check out phoneAlarm - it has SMS count and also allows setting Monthly free SMS in the billing options.
Are there any other SMS counters that will work with O2? DK doesn't, as O2 doesnt allow delivery reports. And Phonealarm slows down my phone too much.
Cheers
Hello all,
I used to own a Motorola A1000 phone. Not as sexy as the Mda Vario I admit and not without faults, but it had excellent speakers and sound output was years ahead of the vario. The other excellent thing it had was the SMS utility.
I regularly have to send messages to groups of people and all I used to do was go the the contacts list and put a tick besdie each name I wanted to send the text to then proceed to the text itself. Easy!! It meant that I was reminded of people who needed to see the information and I seldom left someone out.
With the vario I either have to click on To: then find a name, click on To: then find a name, click on To: then find a name, (you get the idea) or manually type in every name on the list until it recognises and adds the sender. Easy to forget someone this way.
Is there any software out there to help me?
Regards all,
thepurser

Already built in, you only need to type in the first few letters of your contacts in the To: field when composing new message, then click on the found numbers, then just put semi colon ";" after each recipients to add new recipients.

Hi guys! Hope eveyone had a pleasant new year's celebration.
Anyway, I was hoping that somebody could either post the link or the file of the modified 02 SMS Plus that will run on any WM5 device. I have a WM5 device but unfortunately isn't from 02 and would love to have its functionality.
I have searched this forum for HOURS and cannot seem to find it.
Cheers in advance!

Hallo to everybody.
I am a happy owner of a MDA Vario that changed my life (i guess i'll never go back to mobile phones ).
So, with googleling and the help of your posts i am really satisfied of the HTC i costumized and have here now.
Looking at the tons of features the only one i never found around was the possibility to dictate voice to txt SMS.
Typically while driving would be userful
I saw the Microsoft sw but only helps to send voice mails or mms. But no speech to txt. There is a sw that is a client and uses a server (internet side) to make the real translation but is an idiot idea (here in italy GPRS or UMTS traffic is quite expensive). I saw that a samsung cell has this feature.
Possible that all my googleling missed something?
Ciao to everybody!
I'm about to get a tmobile wing next week. I want to transfer all my text messages and contacts from the mda to the wing. I've looked up how to do it using pimbackup. I have more questins though, does that program backup and restore the text messages it its original format(include name, time, date) or is it like a word document?
