I am a cellis user and have gprs.
I am trying to configure my I-Mate as a modem to access the internet via my laptop & gprs.
Unfortunalty i have not been able to do so although it works with other regular gprs cellulars like ericsson but not the i-mate.
i read the instructions regarding wireless modem and the various connections available (Cradle, IR & Bluetooth) but so far i am not successful.
Could anyone provide me with step by step instructions?
Thanks in advance.

I have recently purchased an O2 xda II Mini and have a couple of questions regarding Bluetooth, GPRS, Applications and where to find them.
Bluetooth
I bought my xda online and outright and am very pleased with my purchase. I also got a Bluetooth adapter. I have yet to connect my pda to my computer via Bluetooth properly and been able to use ActiveSync among other things. I am not sure if I have configured the Bluetooth adapter correctly or if it’s the xda that I need to configure. I also wish to know if I can:
1. Connect to the internet from my xda with Bluetooth thru my computer.
And
2. ActiveSync my xda with my computer via Bluetooth.
GPRS
I have a couple of questions about GRPS. If my service provider [Optus] does not allow GPRS can I not use GPRS at all? Can I buy an SD card that will let me use GPRS for free [ie no cost beyond buying the SD card]
Applications
I am looking for a clean, easy to navigate web site loaded with lots of useful applications.
Any help in any of the above topics will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Redarding your bluetooth questions, they have been discussed often here in the forum. It is possible. For the solutions, please search the forum. It is possible to browse the internet via bluetooth only via ActiveSync (with the installed Microsoft stack). Again, search the forum for the how to.
You can't use GPRS if your provider doesn't provide it.
GPRS has nothing to do with your SD card, it has something to do with your GSM card.
Hello,
Dunno if this has been mentioned before but:
I have an o2 xdaII with an o2 payandgo sim- apparently o2 block web access to payandgo customers so the pda will not access the web or any data service except MMS's. My normal phone has web access from a contract o2 sim. Is it possible to connect via bluetooth from the pda to the other phone and use this for web access on the pda. I could just swap the sims but I wanted to avoid this.
Ta.
Read this link, i 'm on O2 payandgo and get full internet access.

Thanks for that,
I can get onto pda.o2.co.uk and nothing else but at least the web is working to some degree.
My main reason for getting it working was to enable live traffic in Tomtom- It can now do that so thanks a lot
Hello there !
I would like to accomplish the following:
- VPA Compact 2 WM-5 with German E-Plus SimCard, giving me an excellent GPRS/Edge internet connection on the mobile phone.
Is it possible, by connecting my Laptop with the HTC Wizard, to use the mobile phone GPRS connection to browse the web with my laptop `?
Does anybody know/have an exact tutorial for a little dumb as I am ?
Thanks in advance !
