I downloaded XDA-developers Special Edition ROM v1.2 and now have no sound at all.
Any Ideas?

you should consider upgrading the radio ROM.

Which rom did you use?
the newest.
I rooted and reflashed my Hero months ago. Now I want to install the origilan HTC ROM on it, but when I try to do the first update, it doesn't work. I think it's because I replaced the recovery with the one that allowed me to have other ROMs on my Hero. Where can I find the original ROM zipped so that I can update it, or restore the original recovery ROM?
Can someone help me?

You could use MadROM from this link. It's the newest Dutch ROM with some little modifications.
