I still need something basic and no one seems to have an answer.
I need the timers for outgoing and incoming calls. Something that you ll find onanu mobile. Can anyone help me please
I really don't know if this would help.
1) There is the built in information which you can fetch by navigating to Start/Settings/system/device information/call duration
2) But if you need something more comprehensive and want to know details of the outgoing and incoming calls then maybe you can try Hudson Mobile PhoneDashboard. I am using this and works fine on the Universal except some of the graphics do not display very well on the VGA screen. But does the basic job and is recommended.
Hope I have been able to understand what exactly you need.
Kind Regards
Thanks I ll try it out, any idea from where to download.
Appreciated
Available for a limited period trial version both at Handago.com as well as pocketgear.com

I have no idea if this is possible, or if there is a utility out there for this but i am looking for a way to only allow calls to numbers in the telephone address book.
Does anybody know of a utility?
This will give me central control of who users can/cant call using the management software that i have.
Thanks in advance,
Noodle.
I myself wonder how I can restrict calls from one caller only; like to divert a given number directly to my voicemail..?
I never did find the software i was looking for.
The problem i have is fixed dial sim's dont work correctly on XDA's. Aparently its a problem with the sim card voltages or something.
Ive given up on it
Give Novosec SmartFilter a try, very cool proggy but it will not divert to another number but will give you full control of who can call and when.
Sounds good. I'll give it a try.
(I'm really bothered by a client who calls essentially on Monday morning and Friday afternoon
hi prerna

I had a Palm software phone (Treo 600) before my current MDA Compact and the Palm had two programs that i cannot seem to find for this PocketPC, can anyone suggest a program
1/ a Call filter, one that does not pass the calls onto the voicemail a filter that will pick up and drop. The Parm one when you had a blocked call it sounded to the caller that they had been cut off, i have been given SmartFilter but you just end up with lots of voice messages.
2/ Was a SMS response program once set if you recieved a text it would make no sound but would send a reply with a message you had set.
as said two usefull program that i cannot find for PocketPC, have i missed then if so can anyone please tell me the names.
Better still PM to me
thank you

I have tried that program and it looks very good but is restricted to only 10 numbers from your contact list. I will keep my eye on this program but as said so far it looks very good.

I have a copy of Smartphone and yes it is good except if anyone calls you and they are blocked it goes straight to the voicemail. So i ended up with voicemails, i think a really good call filter should except the call (silently) and just hang up. Smartphone is good but could be better if it picked up and dropped the unwanted calls instead of pointing them to voicemail.
not quite true
it takes it's divert from the phone 'busy' setting.... I think the default is voicemail on busy, but in the phone settings, you can specify another number other than voicemail... I put in my office number....go to the phone application and then the 'call divertl settings
not sure what you mean by pickup and hangup....sounds a bit rude really to the poor caller!
I don't get what you want?
You want the phone to receive a call, and then just hang it up?

What i am after is simple, work ring me weekends and using Smart Filter i end up with a load of vorce mails i dont want that. Now Call Filter when you choise a number to ignore just hangs up No Call and No Voice Mails - Great. I will be glad when he has finished the program as its grippled to only 0 numbers from your phone book at the moment.
1st of all - hello!
This is my first post in this Forum and I feel very uncomfortable at this point because I got a question, which has been hit many times before. Further it won't be the exact right place here to ask, because I dont own a XDA but a Motorola MPx200 with Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphone Edition. Nevertheless, I guess you can help me because developement in .NET is quite the same - and most of the features will work there too.
But getting startet...
I'm trying to write a program, which will indicate on my desktop computer if there is a incoming call on my mobile. Further it has to show me the incoming callers ID, maybe from the buildin phonebook of the mobile. For that Programm i have to write a little "listener" for my mobile, which calls a function (which talks to my desktop) when a incoming call is received.
Unfortunatly I can't write C++, but I think there must also be a solution in C# .NET over a API call. But I don't know, which method in which DLL I should call to receive the information if there is an incoming call or not.
Can anybody please help figuring out how to do this.
What I know now is, that it has to do with RIL and TAPI, but I must read myself in RIL to understand that.
Your my last chance - i googled the whole day, even read about 20 pages on google groups but there wasn't the "All-i-need-to-be-happy"-solution at all. I also have searched the wiki in here...
Sorry if you don't understand some parts of this text - i come from germany, so english isn't my native language.
Thanks so long.
Marcus
Hi
for WM2003 it is kind of hard and involves a lot of study concernaing TAPI.
with WM5 it should be quite easy using .net compact framework 2.0 as there is a new namespace Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Status and a System Property called: SystemProperty.PhoneIncomingCall yet I have not tried that route.
One more Option which I didn't try - but could be a chance for you without learning TAPI is to register a small console.exe within the notifcation queue to run on the appropriate system event! (memmaid is a good explorer for the notiication queue)
This option will most likely just tell you that there is a call - and now details - I have no time to research this right now.

And is it working??
I thought I was the only one who wants to get this working...
Let us know !
Hey
I own a large gaming website, and everynow and again the host datacenter will ring me to report an issue on my server, now i know what the issue will be and how to solve it, it simply requires me running a page on my site to clean up the database. I work nights alot and often miss these calls during the day and the site goes broke most of the day.
Im wondering if possible, when i get a missed call from X number - Is there a way to auto open Pocket IE and load up a web page?
If so, this will be an awesome godsend!!!
Im no pda coder, but iv heard about mortscript, wondering if this could do something like? If so, anyone willing to whip up a lil script for me?
Many Many Thanks
After doing a little bit of searching I found this in Mortscript. I haven't used Mortscript much but I'm sure you can do it using this line:
Code:
MissedCallNumber = RegRead ("HKLM","System\State\Phone","Last Incoming Caller Number")
Then you would basically do an if (MissedCallNumber = "(222) 222-2222") *not sure of the syntax* then open webpage. You would probably want to have it run on startup, sleep for a specific period of time and then loop.
EDIT: Depending on if you want to only do it if it was a missed call or not, you would have to check for missed calls.
Mortscript would work good here..but you could use magicall as well..and it totally rocks for filtering and handling all calls and text messages.
Here is a missedcall script i made a while back. It will check for missed calls and send an email to a designated email address.
You could probably modify it to open a webpage shortcut pretty easily instead of sending an email.
I am looking for an app that lets me do stuff when certain incoming numbers (either a simple editable list or a selection of contacts) call..... essentially I want the phone to answer and then hang up immediately so the numbers don't get my voicemail, they just get rejected.
At the moment I have the contacts set with a silent ringtone so I don't get disturbed, but sometimes I get voicemails from them and I want to prevent these.
I have had a look at Mortscript and can find how to handle incoming calls, just not how to handle incoming calls from specific contacts in specific ways.
Any help appreciated
go to www.youmail.com
i like this free service and it handles caller id calls more efficiantly than any software you can purchase.
Thanks for the link, unfortunately it's US only and I'm in the UK.
CallFirewall does exactly that what you need.
Try this:
http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html
It does everything you asked, and a whole lot more.
+1 for magicall... it rocks
Thanks for the links guys, downloading them both now
Call Firewall didn't quite do the trick as I could only get it to go to voicemail, but Magicall does 100% what I want, plus more, so I promptly coughed up the cash for it
Somewhere else on the forum there's a program what lets you make your own interface in html with js/flash. you can use that and make javascript countdown for x seconds and than let it pick up and hang up... or whatever you want not the best solution but it still is a solution
