I got an SMS inbox problem. And i dont know how to solve this.
I have 2000+ SMS MSG on my inbox and when i browse my old SMS MSG it shows different text. (oh sheez, i cant explain.)
Ok heres an example..
------------------------------------------
John Smith 12/25/05 1K
Merry XMas
------------------------------------------
Johny Smithy 12/25/05 1K
Seasons Greetings!!
------------------------------------------
Joel Jordan 12/31/05 1K
Happy New Year!!
------------------------------------------
OK!! the above text is an example of my inbox.. You will see that "John Smith" sent me a msg saying "Merry Xmas" on "Dec. 25, 2005"
My problem is this... When i tap/open the msg from "John Smith" this is suppose to be appear.
---------------------------------------------
From: "John Smith" <+00000000001>;
Subject: <...>
Sent: 12/25/05 10:06:11 PM
--------------------------------------------
Merry Xmas
-------------------------------------------
But instead of that.. it shows me a different msg.
---------------------------------------------
From: "John Smith" <+00000000001>;
Subject: <...>
Sent: 12/25/05 10:06:11 PM
--------------------------------------------
Same to you dude!!
--------------------------------------------
And that Msg "Same to you dude!!" is my msg that i sent to someone.. meaning it showing up my msg that i sent instead of showing the text msg that came from John Smith.
Got my point and problem? Anyone knows what happened? and surely any solution for this?
Oh my GOD!!! no one knows any solution for this??!!
I have a similar problem on my device, it happened after I restored from a backup through ActiveSync.
Now I have 657 messages, which I can see their preview, but cannot open or delete!
I tried deleting all message MPD files from \Windows\Messaging , but the messages didn't go!
I also noticed that these messages don't have the envelope icon in front of them, but when I receive a new message, it does have that icon.
It seems like the Text Messaging database is corrupt, and I am looking for a way to refresh it (re-build it).
hhmm.. any genius can help us here??
I have anotger question.. When i am using theJeyo Mobile Extender on MS Outlook.. and tried to transfer my SMS from PC Outlook to PocketPC the KB writen on my inbox is 0KB instead of 1KB.. same with you?

Details are:
Network: o2 (UK)
Phone: XDA II
ROM: 1.60.00WWE
Radio: 1.10.00
Protocol V: 1337.18
ExtROm V: 1.60.50
I have this really annoying problem with my o2 XDA II, where I cannot reply to SMS messages without a failure.
If I write a SMS from scratch and select the contact from my contacts list it will enter the contact number as "07799123456" and the text will send without any problems.
however if I was to receive a SMS from someone and hit the reply button (like we all do) and send the SMS I get a lovely "Your SMS message could not be sent" and it goes in to drafts. When replying it would eneter the number as "Name" <+447799123456>;
Then if I go in drafts and try to send it will show the same error... and keeps doing it. So I have to CUT the text from the message, do a new message and select the contact again and send it... this was it will send the message.
Why does it do this? and is there a cure for it? Its really, really annoying.
Any help you can give will be appreciated!
thanks!

I have the same problem occationally, for me it looks like th eproblem occurs when replying to a contact which have another operator than mine (Telia).
Message Centre
Hi there,
The problem could be occurring if you receive a message from another network. The issue is with a setting which would say "Reply using same centre". This means that the message you intend to send will go directly to the message centre of the other network. Obviously your message will not go through because you are not on that network! If this setting is disabled on the sender's phone and then you try to reply to his message you would not encounter this problem.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

ah right ok... bit annoying though cos I cant tell everyone I know(who has this setting enabled) to do this. There is a paticular contact it happens to and she always has a "Reply Request" enabled (i.e. on my old T-Mobile T610 it would say the user has requested a reply after i read all her messages). Could that be sumin to do with it?
Cant I change a setting on my XDA to send the message via the usual route it goes with it sends a message from scratch? This would work surely?
Thanks for your help, appreciate it!
Thanks,
Steve M
My dad bought this O2 XDA IIs a month ago. His previous device was an Ipaq 3xxx and Nokia 9210i. According to him O2 fell short when It comes to sending 1 SMS to multiple recipients coz O2 limits it upto 13 contacts only.
Is there a third party software that can send 1 SMS to a min of 500 recipients? His previous devices are capable though you won't be able to use the phone for almost an hour whenever he does that.
Hope you guys can help.
Thanks
500! ?
is this a how do i spam peoples with sms's post ?
its for my dad's Organization that's why its more or less 2000 members.
what does it have to do with you rudegar anyway, the guy just wants some help. Wincrash, my XDA II lets me send more than 13 (in fact I tried it with 22). Does it only let you add 13 to the list of recipients or does it come up with an error when pressing send??
nothing i just asked a question
it's my right
just as it's the right of the person i ask questions to
to answer or not
what we do is we select more than 20 contact nos then press the window and i think click Send SMS i cant remember and only 13 nos appear in the "To:" field. No error messages occurs. how do you do that 22 recipients?
I hope you guys could suggest a 3rd party software that can solve this problem.
I just click on the SMS icon on Today screen and then NEW SMS. Now click on the icon next to 'My Text' at the bottom of the screen to bring up your contacts. Now just tap each contact you want to send a message to. Like I said it let me add 22 to the list which expands.
Remember I haven't tried actually sending it yet. Good luck
I've just also tried going to my contacts, highlighting about 20 names and then selecting send sms and it successfully added them all the the recipients list.
OK thanks I'll try it out then give feedback.
Thanks again.
do you have YMID? pls pm me if you do or add me [email protected]
Thanks
Hello people,
I wish to send a text message (SMS) to all of my contacts. My contact list is about 2000, so I guess I will need a software in order to send a message to all of them, because if I am not mistaken if using the MS software for msgs, will crash the phone as will try to load all msgs to memory.
Any of you who knows how to solve my problem, or knows a software? Please....
Thank you in advance.

Another forum member - t0flus - posted an application called "Group SMS" which may do what you're after....I'm presuming you could send the message group by group (if your contacts are in groups?).
The program can be found by searching for "Group SMS" or by clicking >HERE<.
I've not tried t0flus' program myself, but I'm certain that throwing 2000 contacts at the standard MS SMS program will kill it!!
Hope that helps!
Mark.
That is exactly what I was doing using my Nokia 7610, but I thought I would be able to find a software that would "do the grouping" automatically for me.
Thank you anyhow.
You see, I just think that a software can send for example 10 - 10 text messages, until all of it is sent and then display a message say sent to all or something like that.
Maybe try getting a PC program like Jeyo Mobile Commander and using that to send the SMS? It drags a list of contacts and messages over via ActiveSync and you can use the app to send SMSes, backup/restore your SMS inbox, backup/restore your contacts etc... I've sent SMSes from it before when I've been too lazy to pick my phone up
Here's another Group SMS app that allows you to choose one or more Contact Groups to send a text message. Works in a different way to the other app mentioned here and one or the other might suit your application better.

Great! Thank you people... I will try, and I hope that one of those will help me do it by the press of one buttons, because you have no idea how difficult and annoying it is to have to split your contacts to hundreds and send them that way.
Hi,
is there a possobility to send a message (for the new year) to all my contacts? The best would be if i could send the message only to the mobile numbers.
thx
There is a program out there, called "group SMS", however, i dont use it, so cant say if it will do exactly as you ask.
However it is a step forward from Raw WinMo, which does not appear to send group txts of any kind.
Best of luck.
You could also have a look at "Power SmS", though you would have to build your groups manually before sending your message.
ok, i tried power sms, i didn't an sms yet, but it sees to work, thx
hi guys!
a bit of a probelm here, wondering if anybody had the same or knows why it happens. everytime i send a txt or email it says 'cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. Would you like to send the message anyway?'
i click yes and it sends but you can imagine how annoying that is.. it happens when i use contacts from my contact list and when i just type the number in.. any option- same story.. that only started happening after i upgraded my diamond2 with the new rom from htc
