[Q]Browser plugin to play embedded mp3s?

Hi,
the MoMA has a great wifi audio guide service for devices like the iPhone, etc. This seems to work great with an iPhone but unfortunately not with the Diamond! What plugin do I require to run these embedded mp3s? http://www.moma.org/wifi/audio/floor.php?floor_id=6
I can't find anything like a Quicktime plugin for WM...
Thanks
Nobody?
you can use skyfire browser to listen to the files

which one you think is the best music player

I have my HD for about a month now and I am wondering which music player you guys use most... I do like the touchflo music player, but since i have disabled TF3D i cannot use it anymore... Have tried Core Player and WMP but none of them are really finger friendly, in terms of browsing for media....
any recomendations for a finger friendly music player???
I use only Pocket Player.
mortplayer , nitrogen , s2p
PocketPlayer is the best. Worth spending money on it. Crossfading, FLAC/APE/AAC support, great and finger-friendly library...the only bad thing about pocket player is that you can't get it on your desktop PC
PS. Oh, and HD becomes a bit laggy when using pocket-player, but it mostly manifests itself with poor tf3d framerates.
Receiving calls, writing sms etc works fine. Since you don't use tf3d this shouldn't be an issue for you.
I use Pocket Player and I have had problems with it - the HD certainly is laggy when running it and fairly often I have to Soft Reset and even Hard Reset to get the phone back to a usable state. I haven't looked into a alternative yet.
EDIT : I should say that I have disabled TF3D and use SPB Pocket Plus instead.
I use PocketMusic 5.0
Equalizer is more effective than the one within mediaplayer. Together with a Bose QC3 headphone. Great sound!
About a year ago I tried every music player I could get my hands on. I found Pocketplayer to be the best for what I need. I have been using PocketPlayer for almost a year now on various devices. Seems the slowest on the HD. Minimising/maximising takes too long imo. The program is fantastic, only downfall is the speed.
Pocket Player for me.
I like also Pocket Tunes but it does not have a WVGA skin so you have to put up with VGA. The advantage is the sound quality is a little better than Pocket Player.
But, if I had to have only one then Pocket Player.
Kinoma FreePlay or Kinoma Play.
Unlike all the other players, it doesn't get slow when you have 5-10GB of music.
It features smooth scrolling and a beautiful, ultra fast user interface.
Makes use of GSensor and rotates with a nice animation.
I think it's the best player and I could not find any disadvantages. Other players have disadvantages like PocketPlayer getting slow with lots of music in the library, S2P not working in landscape mode (except for coverflow) and being a bit buggy sometimes, PocketTunes not working with WVGA....
Kinoma is finger-friendly, ultra fast, stable and feature-complete.
pocket player top tip for hd !! On pocket player advanced settings set the priority to normal
sorry for the semi-offtopic but does one of the mentioned players let you choose the shuffle by album like in good old ipod?
i can say for sure that tf3d wmp and s2p don't (sadly!!)

Thanks for the tip - I must admit to have not explored the advanced settings !!
What does it do when the priority is set to normal ?? (mine was previously on "Highest")
MortPlayer
Strange no one use MortPlayer! For my needs simply the best! And a lot of features to customize as YOU like

Simple, it uses less cpu ! the higher the value more cpu it will "reserv" for itself leaving for e.g. tf3d "laggy". Bellow normal while doing smt heavy the music starts to stutter.
Try it !
thank you for all the feedback guys... all of you have been more than helpful...i will try pocket player
Has any1 tried PocketMusic..i find it more easy fast and better sound quality than pocket player. You can select a folder or even a single track
Hey guys, I tried almost all players besides Pocket Music and Kinoma FreePlay. Until now, the best for music was the native wmp, coreplayer being horrible for music for me.... Now I want to test Pocket music, but I have a problem, how and WHERE can I get a WVGA skin???? The native one is really beautiful, but "only" VGA. There should be about 10000 themes as it comes from Winamp, BUT, which one is WVGA?.. Could someone please help me? Thank you!!!!^^ to topic: until now, I "love" wmp, cause its hardware accelerated, so it NEVER stopps with multitasking (only on opening Opera, but I think Opera takes for this task full 100% cpu) and it shows my covers beautifully^^ but just try all, there are always trial versions
Now with Wvga skin ptunes can be used at full resolution on THD.
Sleek HD(Blue)
480x800 or 800x480

Any player that supports playlist on the main screen? I'm using wmp, but it waste so much space that could house a long playlist to choose from, I don't use wmp for movies anyway.

Good media player?

Just wondering what people are using for a media player primarily a video player?
I am using RockPlayer and to be honest it is faultless. Plays everyting I throw at it including h/x264 and ac3 sound.
There is one small issue and that is with configuration. I wouldn't mind a few more features like volume boosters etc.
I commute so tend to just drop videos on the phone to watch. Amazingly smoother and faster than winmo.
i personally use and like DoubleTwist. i havent' used RockPlayer yet.. but i have heard many good things about it.
Doubletwist is nice but seems to be okay with h264 but not xvid
Is there any app out there that lets you change the song in the middle of doing something like using gamedroid? Kinda like the home button on the ipod touch when you tap twice it brings up the media player?
i use mixzing for song playback. and i use mvideoplayer for video files (doesn't play divx but offers nice playback control and stuff)
Just so you guys know, there are Android general forums that might get you more replies and ideas.
Android General forums and Android Apps subforurm.
The only reason why i used rockplayer is cuz it plays rmvb and rm files (a MUST have for hardcore chinese drama lovers =P)
if anyone knows of another that can play realmedia files, please let me know cuz i'm also looking into other options
+1 for doubleTwist here
I use one called simply 'Music Player' (it was the top hit on the apps store). Excellent, fond my music straight away with no configuration, small footprint, instant start with no lag and a great FF/REW function. Unlike Windows Media Player :0)

pc remote controller

is there any android to pc remote controller ? like next pause play for media player ?
Gmote 2.0 is good one. Works over WiFi.
there is one literally called "pc remote controller" lol it lets you see what your doing, which is good
theres also "unified remote" which is good for if your away from your computer but can still see the display. has media features, filemanager...etc, and you hav a multitouch mouse for rightclicking too.
these two, along with gmote, ive used, all through wifi. ive noticed all three tend to drop connection / difficulty connecting in the first place, thats why i had three of them, but this may have been a laptop/network/firewall issue.
(btw, all require you to install the server-side version on the pc, and be running when you want to use it.
I use itap mobile touchpad. Works great and offers gestures for two fingers for scrolling and stuff.
It also has a menu thing for volume and player control with pause play mute and stuff. I'm happy with it
Unified remote is pretty good especially because it has a whole range of remotes for various programs

I would recommend you XBMC!!!
It's a media center that can be controlled with any android device and play almost every kind of media that I know (mp4, mkv, avi, divx... It even plays img, iso and many more)
Give it a try!!
I use phone my pc. My computer on my phone and I control everything like I'm sitting at my desk. If anyone wants it I will up the apk. Let me know.

Off topic i know but thanks for the tip on XMBC, looks like a good replacement for Media Center and has phone remote control built in; off to install after work. Thanks

Whats your media renderer of choice? is RealPlayer hitting the spots?

it seems that RP doesnt recognize Win8 as a valid OS...its the only program that has failed to run properly for me.
so i try GOM and I try a few other media players but the codecs are a mess and they all seem high maintenance. what do you like?
anyone running Windows Media Center on win8dev?
my picture image program is Fast Image and also Picasa which is a little too Googley for me...
Basically i just shun all the MS programs and make a beeline for FreewareGenius recommendations...
Oh..and I am a hater of Internet Explorer. I cant stand that thing... and it seems i am able to shut it down by disabling it in System configurations... i didnt think it would work but it does just like that. i expected a bigger fight from Microsoft to keep people from disabling the IE.
Sorry for this haphazard post but i love win8 and wish i saw more postings in this forum. The other Windows forums are full of pompous certified yahooos who talk to you like yoou should not be running win8 dev. I want to see some XDA flavor here... perfect fit!

VLC for video.
FooBar 2000 for audio.
IrfanView for images.
Those are my defaults of choice, all running on W8DP flawlessly.

VLC for video and media monkey for audio
You should really try media monkey
Xbox Media Center FTW!
VLC for video, WMP for music, Media Center for Live TV via USB tuner
For video: Media Player Classic Home Cinema + madVR (insane quality, try it instead of the crappy VLC)
For audio: Windows Media Player
For TV: Windows Media Center
I use Xbox Media Center for all of those, working well on Windows 8. http://xbmc.org/
For video: Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec Pack) which is way better than VLC
For audio: MediaMonkey, which supports WinAmp plugins, and Zune.
