Allows you to follow smartphone news. As well as searches the web for news based on any keywords of your choice and pushes news to you as it comes out.
You can also add URL's from any site for example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?forumids=260 would subscribe you to pushed updates from this forum.

I have it installed. I cannot add anything to the feeds like blogs or anything like that. It is very nice to look at but it is not finger friendly. Could you please tell me how to add blogs and or rss feeds or is that the part that isn't live. Is there anything specific that you want feedback on?

You should be able to find this under the "My Feeds" Tab.
So I've been reading on how to root the new mytouch 3g 1.2 and the only method was by goldcard. after going in circles and getting super confused with the guide that was given i finally went through to the PSAS Support forum because that was the site that i was redirected to and in order to make a goldcard now is by buying the PSAS for 30 euros the links are down to give you the goldcard.img for that reason. If i am wrong please please correct me. or if there is an alternate way then also please enlighten me. thanks for all the hardwork. and if i am correct then im out of luck lol im broke.

thats where i went but when i get to step 7 is where it just takes me into circles. when i click the link it redirects me elsewhere than where the guide says its going to take me. there are no open fields for me to input the information as foretold on the guide.
Ah, sorry. I clicked on all the links to see what the other goldcard thread was talking about. It worked when I did my goldcard, sorry, I don't have any other ideas!

well i hope as information for others, in order to make a goldcard you have to pay 30 euros to do so. you have to buy the PSAS .
That really sucks that it's not free anymore. I'd offer to send you mine if I hadn't already sent it to someone else!

The only way i see this working is if someone buys the software and possibly sells the other spots to make more goldcards. the software comes with a max of 15 goldcard generations. so essentially each gold card creation is only 2 euros.
Edit: thanks for the offer. XDA rocks bc of the generosity. if only people didnt take advantage of it.
Edit2: would really love to see an alternate way of rooting the device good job devs on all the hardwork your putting through.
I contacted PSAS today about the goldcard generator. I got a very good reply. Here it is:
"It's not about making money, we are just doing that to restrict goldcard generator and of course buying new hardware to test for PSAS). We also thought about giving the goldcard generator for free, but due to recent attacks, we now tend not to do that. A lot of people already reverse engineer PSAS ... and try to sell their copy in their boxes, this is why we had to put a lot of money into security.
Regarding Android goldcard generator, I guess we will put it online for free again in a few days."

You guys realize that there is a goldcard generator app on the market place that works perfectly right?
All you need to do is run that app with your sd card in your phone, follow the instructions. I rooted my My Touch 3g 1.2 a couple days ago using it.
edit: This app basically does the reverse operation on your CID. IT then gives you the URL to the site you have to paste this number in order to get emailed the sappimg.zip

Hi. Noob question here. What is the purpose of the goldcard?
I have read that it is used for rooting...but is it completely necessary?? I've looked up and down on the xda forums and google and have found nothing helpful so I am turning to you in hopes someone can answer my question. Thanks!

This is for those of you who are for what ever reason New or Clueless about the android ways, and have no clue what to do with your new mytouch slide.
Also you can go to market and search Adobe, download the pdf viewer and you can view the pdf right on your MT3g Slide.
I know this info is redundant and is common sense but theres always those few. And if you read the owners manual you wont ask how to work the phone. If its not in the owners manual then it needs to be revised.
