i was trying to syncronise my kjam with my laptop over wifi, but no luck for me yet. i tried to do a search in this forum but i couldn't find the wright subject.

Hi, I just bought a qtek 9100, my first ppc ever, so please have understanding with my zero knowledge.
My question then:
When I connect the wifi, it will find my wireless homenetwork, and I have good signalstrenght aswell, but still when I try to browse the internet ,or try to connect to msn messenger it says that it cannot. I´ve had it working the first two days, but now it won´t.
What have I done wrong?

My new XDA Atom will sync once (and once only!) after every reinstallation of Activesync 4.1.
I've tried all the pathetic tips on Micosoft Activesync website but to no avail. "Firewalls yada yada" etc etc everyone's problem but theirs!
I get the beep on connecting it physically - but no Activesync action.
Can't really re-install Activesync everytime I need to sync!
I'd be glad if anyone else has managed to solve the problem and could tell me how they did it!

Strange solution! Download AudibleManager! Works! Beats me!
Download AudibleManager fromAudible.co.uk.
When it's running I can Activesync every time!!!
Anyone know why that should be?

First off, apologies if this has been discussed in detail already - but I can't quite find a definitive answer.
OK, I've got an O2 XDA Mini S (Wizard) running WM5. My desktop is running XP. All my Wi-fi works great, but I read that as of ActiveSync 4, synchronising over a wireless network was removed (is this correct?). Since I have a much better range with my wi-fi than I do with Bluetooth, I'd really like to be able to sync using my wirelesss network, so I'm looking for help on the subject.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You don't say which rom you are using? If you are running WM6 then you have the same problem I have. Internet sharing just refused to see the phone (in my case an XDA Exec - HTC Universal) as a modem. I found help here by searching. There are posts on this in particular complaints that Microsoft pulled Dial Up Networking (DUN) support from WM6 and some later WM5 roms in favour of Interner Sharing . This forum has help on how to reinstall DUN via a reg hack and it worked fine for me. Go search.

hi there,
sorry to jumped in.. but i haven't found any luck trying to find xda exec modem driver so i can make my xda a 3G modem for my pc.
i've misplaced my companion cd , hopefully someone can share me the link to download the modem driver.

Just read this in the manual .....
"When your MDA Compact IV is connected via ActiveSync and your PC is connected tothe Internet, you can browse the Internet, retrieve Outlook emails and also use or update some of the applications that require an Internet connection - and all of it straight from your phone (e.g. you can update Weather or QuickGPS, or use Google Maps)"

first off - sorry I didn't post my solution earlier - and thanks to jackwidu for pointing out the error of my ways
I connect to my pc using Activesync Version 4.5.0. When connected through activesync, I was unable to (and also unaware that I could) connect my diamond to the pc's internet connection. I recent read that this was possible in the user manual and at first despite trying all different settings, still failed to do so.
Eventually, as in many microsoft cases, I uninstalled activesync and reinstalled and hey presto, was able to access the internet through my pc
Not sure if this will work for everyone but interested to find out if it does ....
