dont know about downloading but i do know of a program that you can use to convert YOUR PERSONAL BOUGHT LEGALLY OWNED DVD's to play on a pocket pc screen.
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=14059
it is $40 and a good pice of software too. i use it to convert some of my collection and able to watch when i am out and about or at work when its quiet.
here is a website that offers very nice free clips
http://gallery.mobile9.com/c/videos/1/
it offers free themes as well too, for pocket pc of cource... some of them are really nice
if you own win XP, you can use Windows Movie Maker to create smaller movies for your PPC as well.... but it can't read DVDs AFAIK... only avi, wma.. etc
cheers
EFnet got it!

Hey people!
I use Windows Media Encoder 9 to encode my movies and the result is amazing. Crystal clear picture and great sound. Right now I am watching The Forgotten with Julianne Moore. Great movie!
What do you use?
Take Care
Björn
u have any small samples?
i use pocketdvix encoder
I also discovered that Windows Media movies are a lot better than the Divx ones I made with PocketDivxEncoder. Also it's a lot faster and you don't need any crop and whatever actions. The picture quality is a lot better than with Divx in my opinion. Also, when using XP, you don't need any extra software, only the free Microsoft Movie Maker. Just import the movie file, drag all parts down and save the movie as Pocket PC Fullscreen. This is a lot faster than PocketDivxEncoder.
For DVDs i think you'd need something like DVDecrypter and DVD2AVI to be able to import the movie into the Movie Maker.
doesnt do .mov files, i normally do trailers
use smartmovie 2.72
hi guys...
I am using fully cracked smartmovie 2.72 player & its rocking... the audio & video clarity is too good. The conversion is very quick -- matter of 1 to 2 mins.
if anyone needs mail me at [email protected]
Bye
Iffu
This is not the right place for pirated software!

Hey, izzit really 1.11.160 WWE ExtROM ? Any source to download :?:
@Ill tempered
I didn't test that. I only know that the Movie Maker only accepts files like avi and so forth. I'm not sure about the Digital Rights management - this could cause trouble with some or even all DVDs. Just try.
Anyway, there will definately be a way to encode DVDs with Windows Movie Maker and the quality is really, really good. I think that DivX Codecs are just not optimized for the PPCs format.

I am new to the whole PPC world, and i was wondering if there is any free programs out there to copy dvds onto my 8525. i am currently using clonedvd mobile and anydvd, which works great, but my trial is almost up. i dont see the point of spending $70 for something i will use once in a blue moon-but it would still be nice to put movies on there when traveling-any and all input would help alot. Thanks
dvdfab platinum. free trial

Uploading a ripped movie is illegal and that is not allowed on this site. Search some torrent sites if you want that. Or do some research and learn how to convert it yourself.... which is your best option.

Yes smaller. Should get them to about 200 MB or so and takes about 25 minutes on my PC.

Or failing that, buy a bigger SD card and just put the whole rip on it, like I do.

As far as I know, by default Windows Media Player is always selected. But you can download Coreplayer, TCPMP or another and associate .AVI, .WMV etc files with that player and use it as defualt.
Alternitively, just open another player and open the video in that player.
ok last question what player does transformers use

Any player, surely. Although I am sure Windows Media Player won't have the codecs to play a ripped film.
Download TCPMP, it's a very good free media player, it will play all of your films and videos without any problem.
just tried to play transformers on that and it sucked

Hmmm, works just fine for me, Coreplayer is my default media player which is pretty much the same as TCPMP
Since I don't have my hands on the Tmous HD2. Could you tell me what is the name of the player that it uses to play movies? ie: Transformers.
He hasn't set up TCPMP correctly. It does play like crap until you set it up.
Use the settings in this post...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5318575&postcount=18
Please read it carefully and use them all. If you only set some of them then TCPMP/CorePlayer will probably just hang.
okay........ transformers plays with htc album
