XDA II not rebooting

Can anyone help tried to upgrade my XDA II and device got disconnected from cradle, when powering up just displays (serial v1.06) and won’t continue to boot.???

Put it back in the cradle, it should display usb on the xda 2, just start the upgrade again.

The computer can not detect the XDA and is showing un known USB device?
Any more suggestions?

If the PDA screen shows "Serial 1.06", try to put in cradle. Is the screen changed to "USB 1.06"?
If so, kill ActiveSync (wcescomm.exe) and try to run update again...

The rom image you are trying to use is not designed to work with your pocket PC, please check the vendor web site and download the correct ROM update.

Message 100? And what's the name of this error message?

HELP ME!!!! black display after ROM upgrade
I've about the same problem...
I tried to upgrade my XDA II ROM... I'm a novice!!! I think...
1. I putted my XDA in the cradle, started install application
2. the same error.... and now I've a XDA II with a black screen and i can read USB at the upper and V 1.
3. I tried to re-install the ROM upgrade, but everytime it try to erase the ROM and the response is always: error 112 CE ...bla bla bla.
4. upgrade software suggest me to do a reset and to re-install... it's a loop!!! without solution!!!
Can U help me???

Guys, what the upgrade says is VERY MUCH IMPORTANT!
In other way, nobody can help you... "Bla, bla, bla" is not so much helpfull...

Stupid problem Com Cable no power

Hello all
This is my first post here so excuse me if this is a stupid question.
I have recently acquired an O2 XDA Wallaby. I have successfully managed to unlock the phone with xda manipulator.
My problem is that I also want to upgrade the ROM but I did not get a USB cradle with the device I only have a COM cable.
When I start the ROM upgrade it stops because it says that the device needs to be plugged into the power to continue. Obviously the problem is that if I plug-in to the mains then I have to unplug the COM cable ?????
Any Ideas ? Can a ROM upgrade be run from an SD card?

i m in very very biG problem.,.,.,.,HELP

i was upgrading my prophet but wen it was reboot it stucked on 3 colour screen and stoped and when i connect USB the computer give sound tht a device got connected but the prophet dont show any sign that a light which get on when we connect usb or chraging adapter and the active sync only shows an error in computer when i unconnect the usb,.,.,.,.please please help me i beg of u senior member's.,.,.,.,.,i would be very thankful to

Try taking out the memory and sim card. That usually allows it to show up in mtty for you to restore it.

i have already done that

Try hard reset. If not returning you to the regular startup - reboot your computer, disable the USB option in AS and try flashing again.

did every thing but nothing is happing when i am trying hard rest it then nothing is happing plz help me out when i connect it is showing usb in xda its showing connected in my pc through removable disks plz help...

Sounds like you need reflash. Download some WM6.x rom found on this forum and follow the instructions. If you get stuck at some point try reading the wiki.

how to upgrade the bootloader?

does anyone know how to upgrade the bootloader on the himalaya at the moment mine reads at the top of the screen SERIAL and at the bottom V1.01.
I have a file which i think is a upgrade [boot_1.06.nb0]
but i have to need to know the do's and dont's as i would think this would be if done wrong brick my himalaya?
any help or links would be thankfull?

The only one question is
Why the hell you want to do that?
I have 1.01 also on my second today-use himalaya and it is really stable and works same as 1.06, but has some debugging output in mtty which is so useful
I tried also to upgrade it and I failed.

when connected to the PC it says USB so i know its working in its own little way
I am trying to upgrade it to windows mobile 6.5.
I have tried everything so far and searched forums and tried things suggested on them but i just cant seem to do it.
Can someone send me a guide on how to do it please.

Hay mickey tell me that are you able to sync data or contects,msgs etc with system without disconnecting ?????????
or sometimes connection disconnects automatically ????/
if yes then put something stable thing in between data cable & device.

if anybody have same problem do as per my suggestion
put something in between data cable & device if you connect it without disconnection then it works flash the rom after putting it in bootloader mode

Don't do it
the bootloader is the main program which executes the system programs so avoid to upgrade bootloder.
the result will be permanent damage to your lovable device...
it can't boot more. so be careful.
no need to upgrade it as per my suggestion.
