Hello,
I purchased a exec today and it is due tomorrow before 1pm, i am so excited.
However, as it is Xmas there is a chance it may not come just yet.
I am very excited, i am not sure what software i need to get for it!
welcome.. welcome... welcome to the gang..
i'm so happy you're now added to the gang..
together is always better than alone
together we can do and solve more problems..
one by one yeah..
and find more and more to solve too..
welcome!
Congratulations, though have you owned an XDA / other PDA prior to the Exec?
The original XDA phones are different enough compared to Nokia et al, but an Exec is even more of a culture shock I would imagine.
Cheers

Yup. It's more of a goddamn mini mini mini laptop...
Streaming Radio stations and my TV programmes via Wifi at night using Resco Radio and TCPMP is something not many phones can do...

Hey all,
Is there a current live version of Mozilla's Minimo that is compatible for the Xda Exec?
I swear by Firefox at home and in the office and wondered if I can get a version for the Xda?
ON another note, is there a high risk of virus infection on a shop bought Xda Exec?
If so?
Can anyone recommend a suitable AV / FW program compat with WM5?
Cheers, Nep
Last version 0.012 is working ont it, but it's crazy lonnnnnnnnnnggggg...

i used both n95 and dopod 900.i sell my n95.the price keep dropping as ppl realize that its a suck phone.
Changing an Uni for N95?
It is like changing a Machine Gun for a Pistol when you are in the war zone.
Or changing a BMW for a Korean Car.

couldn't say it better myself.
youy are so right!
do you realy need a powerfull camera on your phone?
do you realy use the camera to its full potential?
personally i never needed to use the phone camera.
plus, the connection speed with the satelites through the built-in GPS of N95 is realy slow. nokia is actually prepearing to lunch an Firmware upgrade that will help to reduce the 90seconds latency of the GPS.
there is an article about this on pocketpcthoughts.com or engadgetmobile.com (don't remind very well)
plus, the programs for S60 series are very limited.
would you realy give up your touch screen?

sell it... to me... $100
or flash the latest ROMs and try fix all the bugs
that should be entertaining and a great service to the community
Give it to me and get a new phone?
Bit of a strange question. How extraordinary can phones be?
Maybe paint it pink, it would look extraordinary then! Do you like playing games? Get some new games for it.
It is not a gaming device u know, No D-pad or keys... So far im still using the stock ROM, no bugs for me.

I hope it is not a Slingbox/slingplayer case. I would be very happy if there is an all-software solution which utilizes a TV card located on a desktop computer

You can use Orb (www.orb.com)
Get microsoft voice commander, and start having conversations with your phone... (to be fair the conversations are limited to asking it about signal strength, battery levels, date, time and upcoming appointments... but it's fun to see the reaction on peoples faces when you talk to your phone and your phone speaks back to you.
also being able to launch applications and mp3s by speaking is just cool.

That seems quite interesting
Flash your phone with the latest Radio and Dutty's 2.3.
You will be amazed by the speed and added functionality.
Plus, you don't need to get a Touch Pro 2. Dutty's 2.3 utilizes almost the same manila.

Most people do not experience your problems.
CHT is partially known for its "bugs"
Also a good "Fall cleanup" (as opposed to spring-cleanup ) could help you.
You could also try a factory reset if the problem persists (backup your data before resetting )
Also could be HTC-Peep is the root of your problems....
But do not start complaining in a topic while you have issues which need to be handled in another topic.
The phone was fine before? Lets try to restore it to thet state.... keep positive.
ok - my interest in the HD2 is very high!! This phone looks absolutely terrific
and has amazing specs.
i am looking for some basic knowledge here on the recently releases HD2 Phones.
i have ATT as my carrier and I'm not looking to change to T-Mobile. I am happy with ATT. i am looking at purchasing the HTC H2 9193 unlocked with support for the ATT 850MHz 3G band. my understanding is that this is a "clean" version of the HD2 Austrailian Telstra phone without all of the bloatware thrown into it. HTC (on their own website) is calling this their HTC HD2 US phone (see htcphones website, product model HTC_TOUCH_HD_2_NAM). HTC sells this phone for around $830.
It appears that the above phone is also the identical model that Amazon (and others) are selling as the HTC Hd2 T9193 (many sell it for around $800 and $730 is the lowest I've seen it) - but I have not seen HTC describe the "model" as the T9193.
These are NOT the T-Mobile HD2 US phones either - as the the T-Mobile version doesn't appear to have support for the 850 MHz ATT G3 band.
Can someone (an expert) please confirm what I've stated here. The HD2 T9193 looks to be the same as the HTC HD2 US - and it's more expensive than the T-Mobile version. This looks like the phone that I want however - seems like it has everything!!
thanks in advance - John

I've so far installed CHT & editor, TCPMP, Wifi remote access, BSB tweeks, NETCFv35, AgileNotes & HTC flashlight. And so far, not a single crash.

Don't mind xirokx, enjoy your HD2. This phone has immensely grown on me since I first purchased it back in January, once you get this bad boy customized to your likings you will enjoy it even more.
