Hi all, I am new here...
please can somebody post the O2 uk settings for the Magician?
I've unlocked the MDA which was a t-mobile to begin with. I've searched for the settings on the post but havent been successful with them.
Thanks.
This should be what you are after. Sets up your phone and GPRS to O2 contract settings.
ill give this a go too. many thanks!
[e!] works fine, sent MMS without a hitch, waiting for verification of it being received.
hi, thanks for the settings.
I am actually on Pay as you go, do you think they will still working?
anyone?

Would anyone be able to take the time to post here in detail the settings for O2 MMS in Ireland on a contract bill plan?
I was on to o2 support but it didn't work and got the impression the staff wasn't really up to 100% on the XDA - probably more used to regular cellphones.
I'd appreciate the help from someone with a working mms service on o2 contract.
Many thanks to all
Conor
you could try the o2 website,
there is a section in mms area (get the settings), which allows you to send yourself the appropriate settings via sms.
try it anyway and let us know how u get on.
I'm in the north so the settings may not be applicable for your region.
good luck anyway.
Thanks but no settings there
Cheers, but they only allow you to send the settings and install them automatically by sms. There's no option to send to an XDA - just Nokia etc...
Can someone just copy them down here from their o2 monthly contract XDA?
Thanks again
Conor
ok conor,
we'll give it a go then, what details do you need and I'lli try to supply them.
MMS blues...
Thanks David!
I'm not sure if N. Ireland settings are the same for Galway but sure, let's see!
For a start, does it connect via MMS Network, or GPRS or My ISP, or The Internet etc.?
I can't send at all. But I do receive notifications of a new mms and who it's from, but when I tap download it tries to download but gets stuck there forever without succeeding. Here's what I got from o2 support but it doesn't work.
Connect to server O2IE (the server name)
Gateway - 192.168.090.074
Server address http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002 (I think!)
Thanks again!

MMS O2 Ireland
Hi Dan
Thanks for that - but I doubt the uk settings would work in Ireland.
O2 here tried to help so I guess I'm registered for these services.
GPRS works fine the prob is just MMS
Thanks again though!
If any Irish o2 pay monthly users could copy down their settings it might help.
Best regards to all
Conor
Conor,
sorry this took so long, got kinda busy elsewere.
have just looked and the connection was set on My Work Network,
I thought it was/should be, via the MMS network.
will have to try and see if it is still working.
the rest of the settings you gave matched mine except for the .ie replacing the .uk, and different gateway no's, this again could be a UK thing.
If I remember correctly I had some serious trouble at the beginning, I think it was something to do with the Rom version, when I upgraded it from 1.60, the MMS service started to function perfectly.
Rom?
Hi
My ROM is 1.60.00WWE
do you know if I'm up to date?
Cheers!
Conor
Hi Conor,
If you unlock your extended rom, there will be a couple of files relating to O2 customisation. It's made easier by using the horrible Active Today settings which can custimise your device for use in Ireland. I'm sure the settings are also made for the mms program. (sorry, I don't use it myself!)
As for the rom version, I think the lastest O2 rom is 1.66 which is available from their site, you could also go to version 1.72 which is available from this site. I'm at 1.72 and think it's fine.
Cheerio
Howard
Thanks Howard, David and all!
I'll try upgrading the RoM
very grateful indeed
Conor
Hi all,
As I could not wait for Telstra to make up their mind as to if they were going to sell the Exec, I had one bought back for me from the UK. Have performed the "corporate setup", thank you all for that info to get rid of the O2 garbage, and the unit performs flawlessly, except one thing, I cannot for the life of me get it to send/receive MMS's. I have tried prior setups from forums for Xda and Xdaii's but I cant get anything to work, even had someone send me the .cab Telstra file from the Imate site, did install but nothing seemed to change.
So, if anyone has any suggestions on connections and MMS composer settings for Telstra OZ, I'll try anything.
Cheers in advance
Mine works fine using the .cab file that came from the "factory released" cab file that was in reality an upgrade.
Thanks for that Simon, but I have tried that .cab before and like I said, no changes or additions to anything. Maybe it does someting on the JJ but not on the Exec???
I just got the problem....
Found the fix, its posted here:

It was already posted on the site somewhere else....
it works
Hi, I'm just trying to find out how to set Vodafone live! setting up on my X01HT.
Does anyone know the Vodadone live! Australia setting on Windows Mobile devices?
Or is there a cab file?
If so, I appreciate if you explain to me how to use it.
Anyway, whether you know the setting or you have a cab file, I much appreciate if you help me out.
Thanks.
These are the Vodafone Settings I found.
They where for a I-Mate K-Jam, but I believe they will be all the settings you required.

Thanks a lot.
I will try it.
Hi,
Anyone have a CAB for Vodafone NZ? I have never managed to get Vodafone Live working on my Hermes WM5. I was told by VF Oz that I needed to install a WAP browser as IE doesn't support WAP - is this true or a load of b*llocks? Presumably if IE works I just browse to an address i.e. http://www.vodafonelive.co.nz
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon.

Not tried it yet though!
Still don't know what to browse for in IE though to get Vodafone Live. Anyone?

Hi, I hope I'm posting this on the right place. This is my first post ever.
I unlocked my Tmobile wing and inserted and AT&T SIM card.
Then I installed 'JustHome v 19 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM' on my wing.
Then I installed ArcsoftMMS-2 to enable MMS messaging.
Heres where I need help. The Wing tried to connect to the T-mobile server to be able to go online but since I have an ATT SIM it could say that the server could not be found. Then I messed around with the connection settings (I have no idea what i did) and got it to connect to the internet, but I still can not send MMS.
CAN anyone help me change the correct settings so I can send MMS? I would greatly appereciate it. Thank you in advance.

Idk. When you ran ArcsoftMMS-2, did you pick AT&T as your carrier? I've always used T-Mobile, so I have no real experience.
No, the ArcsoftMMS icon never showed up.
By the way, I love how 'JustHome v 19 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM' looks but I would like something more dependable and that would come with MMS and all that good stuff. Which ROM do you people recomend? I would appreciate a link to it too but I can search for it. Just give me your best recomendation please. Thank you!

Try installing it again. You should be able to start a program called Network Wizard.
Edit And it has to be installed on Device Memory, as it says.

And all of the ROM's are up on The Wingster: http://thewingster.com/
Look through the ROM's section there. There's only one WM6.5 ROM (JustHome), but MMS works fine if you follow the steps to set it up.
Does anyone have the full settings (cab or otherwise) for a TP2 on UK T-Mobile please?
I've tried e-mailing T-Mobile but they're next to useless.
Thanks very much.
t-mobile cab settings file
try this cab
Hi ScouseMartin,
Thanks, been after these for a while!
Much appreciated.
SW ;o)
glad it worked for you, anyway us scousers have to look after each other,if anybody wants the complete uk internet settings cabs i have them all, just send me a PM. I have posted them on this site before but it was ages ago and i cant remember where
Thanks for the settings, but I'm still having problems with YouTube and Windows Update which say there's no connection. However they both work on WiFi. Strangely Opera works fine on the data connection!
It's probably something I've missed - anyone any ideas?
Thanks.
Would anyone have a similar cab for o2 settings?

there is an app on the phone for setting this.
Neil, my Touch Pro 2 was originally Orange and the app will only do a full set-tup for Orange Network.
I appreciate this is an age-old TP2 query, but i still need it!! lol
Ive managed to get the internet going ok, but mms have never worked and ive tried every scenario on the net i can find.
So yet again- can anyone give me mms settings (plus brief guideline, just to try and ascertain where ive been going wrong)????
I would like to be able to get and send media messages again!!!
thank you. you save what little hair i have.tmobile monkeys are useless wasted 3 days! with this cab my touch pro 2 is ALL GOOD!
