Wilkinson (a UK hardware store chain) have a generic own-brand mobile phone holder which costs 1.49 and although a very slight bit wobbly when stuck in my air vents, does the job a treat.
I had to chop off a bit of plastic at the bottom with a hacksaw to allow the charger to go in, but aside from that, it was straight in. Did a test drive and it did wobble slightly, but not enough to cause anything to happen.
Beat that for price.
Maybe I won't bother with Brodit after all...
Joe
plz post a picture!
My brodit landscape holder is gr8 for me
Yeah please post a picture of it - wanna see this "miracle-cheapo-holder"
Here you go: best I can do at night with a crap (HTC Universal) camera I'm afraid. More tomorrow in daylight if required!
And don't get me wrong - this is total ****e compared to a Brodit, I would have thought. But it's cheap, and I'm a Yorkshireman
Not having air vents (Land Rover Defender) I had to purchase one that has a sticky pad which fits beautifully on the dashboard. It cost £7 from Vodafone who appear to be the only place that actually sells them anymore.

Do you know if will send by mail to Portugal?
Can you take daylight fotos?
Thanks
Here are some daylight photos.
I am not sure about postage, but I will be doing a 140 mile drive tomorrow and will post with my opinions of a long drive with it.
If it's good, and we can work out a way to post it and pay, then I will do this for you.
Thanks
OK - I've been to Wilko's and handed over my hard earned £1.49.
It comes with a little bracket that can be bolted/screwed in - so I think I'll
use that. Joe - where did you get your car charger - I checked Wilko's -
they didn't have any.
I got it from Ebay, I think it's one intended for a iMate Jam, but not a genuine part.
They should be available for Wizards by now I would have thought.
Joe
joebongo- This one is for £4.99 in a local phone shop, it's supposed to be a desktop universal phone holder but i put it in the windshield and it works for me-
i grabbed one of these from wilkinsons today too... looks really cheaply made, but what do you expect for less than £2 !! Im going to use the vent holder and see how that works out... to be fair, thinking about it, it actually looks better made than the one i had last year that was about £8 !
EDGE
magnetic disk
I use a magnetic disk from cpw and put the metal strip inside battery cover. used with all my phones in the past and never once have I dropped my phone, even 30mph accidentally over speed hump, which loosened my fillings. yet no drilling and looks cool on dash. Am i the only person using this?
 im gonna pop down there today and buy the holder live 2mins from my local high street 8)
joebongo, i went to the shop but they said they dont sell mobile phone stuff.....? where did you get yours from because i went to a large store..not the small ones :?:
When I had a Samsung I stuck a velcro pad to the dashboard and to the back of the phone. (Furry side on the phone!) Worked brilliantly.
With the Exec I might put velcro on the bottom and on the top of the dashboard, and mount it there. Maybe above my steering column - if I write my own app with mirror writing I could fold it down in PDA mode & have a HUD

Cool thing! Sadly I shelled out 40 EURs for the XGPS Active Holder Thingy. It should arrive tomorrow. Oh well - damn could have saved some dough
I own this jewel since September and I'm very very happy with it. Nothing compare to symbian or any other smartphone. Palm OS 5.4 was good but is now definitely outdated.
Recently I had the chance to play the new HTC P series products. Although specs are not comparable to Tytn, quality of materials and built finitures are way way way better.
P series quality and look are simply stunning, Tytn is a plastic toy.
To provide an example, it's like holding in one hand a classic nokia plastic shell phone, such as 1100 or 3310, and a Vertu in the other one (or a SE K800 or a Moto K1). I know how many discussions can be raised on materials, look and built quality. Is a V3 really better than a N70, etc. Yet, you get the point.
Tytn is specs leader, but its plastic housing really doesn't fit its overall quality (even Qtek 2020 was better refined).
Why? Simple budget restriction? Tytn price is still higher than any HTC P product though.
Well.. you're flying the Italian flag and they are renouned for their style and culture. On the other hand your location is London so I guess you should be used to over-looking the grim exterior and seeing the quality that lies beneath??
I prefer to say the Hermes (TyTn) is modestly understated as befits a device that does not need frills and frippery to draw attention!!!
As a matter of fact sometimes it does not even ring when people phone it - how's that for modesty!
Mike
and i think i am one of the very few that think this phone feels better constructed and more solid than the wizard... and thats my opinion..
But we all know what they say about opinions..
Italy, as London, is look and inner beauty at the same time.
I'm not discussing its specs or saying that I'm unhappy with it or that is overrated.
My point was that older and newer HTC products look and feel better than Tytn from a strictly materials and built quality perspective.
Just hold for a second in your hand a P series device or any HTC old model (2020, 9090) and you'll fell like Tytn was the black sheep. (I would still get one though!)
HTC claims to be the best manufacturer in the world, but why its best product so far feels like a common plastic nokia?
ergonomically speaking, it's not that great either... especially the buttons. Makes me envy the Treo 750v.. mmmm..
I have a JasJam and i think the device looks great.
Its not all bells and whistles as compared to toy mobiles etc because the jasjam offers solid guts and doesnt need to draw attention to itself.
speaking of the p series, like the p3600 (trinity), yes, they look nice with their black or white polished surfaces etc, but have a look at what is happening to people trinity's after a couple weeks use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287713
the casing itelf is actually peeling.
I dunno... I like the look & feel of my TyTN much more than I liked my 8125 (Wizard). I especially like the kbd backlight. That's a real eye-catcher IMO.

I like the design. I agree on the backlight. Not so nice that they used cheap-grade plastic parts for the cover, in particular the back-side cover is cheaply made and looks like "made-in-Yugoslawia" in 1960. But really, really bad is the sliding mechanism. That's really poor, considering the suberb "content", and the fact that this device is sold unlocked for up to 700 US$.

And there's no real reason for the sliding mechanism problem as anyone who's read my fix will know. A tiny detail in manufacture and it would be fine - and maybe is in the newer devices.

Heavy off-topic: What's was wrong with 'Made in Yugoslavia' products in '60?!? I think they were great if you ask me... Btw, it used to be great country unlike nowadays ones... Over nostalgic...
Maybe it looks cheap (to my taste it doesn't), but it is NOT to my opinion.
I dropped my device several times, on solid surfaces!, but never a scratch!
After about 4 months heavy use it still looks like new.
So I'm very happy with it.

I'm agree with you, but i'l take care on it, realy happy too.
i think that the M3100 looks are deffinately dull and plasticated. the tytn's metal plate and grey plastic make the handset look a lot better i think.
one of the p-series that looks like the hermes/tytn (forgot its name) i think looks more toy-ish.
Dropped a power cable on mine and I've got a deepish small scratch on the navigation button. Noone else can notice it but I can, bloody annoying .

which metal plate?
I think they just have given up a bit of its looks to add more on the inside! Dont judge a book by it cover!! So far my TyTn is the ****! Wonder why i never got one before! I like the layout! Looks nice! Could have been black, but over long period of use the black would fade and scratch more easy, so gray and silver was the best bet i think!!
If it was made out of stainless or any other metals, then cost would go up! Could also affect signal and whatnot! Also, plastic is more shock resistant!
I've got it and I Like it
I've had the tytn for a few weeks now and I love it. I am not a very flashy guy, and I like the fact that it isn't too flashy. I have the black version and it fits my hand jsut fine.
My problem with the Hermes is the damn front cam. In a video call it is too close compared to my Nokia 6630. They should have put a wider lens or something.
I owned two Nokia 8800 series phones, which were definitely flashy. The 8860 I had (the little chrome phone) was such a pain in the arse though... Fingerprints and cheekprints really ruined the slick look as did the car kit which put scratches on the backside; the chrome on the battery got quite scratched.
I think the TyTN/CHT9000 (HERM200) looks ok; it has the brushed metal look on the front side, which is a nice way to add a little style. Either way though, I'll take the HTC features over the flashy looks of other phones any day.
Some phone companies have better cases than other. The T-Mobile version has nice styled case with a part metalic front and Gunmatel colour. Very cool
I've been doing some searching for an armband for the pro but have yet to find a specific one made just for the pro.
Anyone have any luck with this? I understand it is a bit larger than what I would usually take to the gym but it would be nice to consolidate much of my activities into one unit.
The closet I've come to finding is someone posted that an iPhone belkin armband worked for their Diamond. Not sure if this would be a good buy.
Any help would be appreciated.

armband. LOL. I'm looking for the same thing and i dont know to translate it either.
Wristband maybe
( I wouldn't like to have it higher on my arm )
You might be interested in this, however, the one review I found wasn't very positive.

I'm getting a tailor to custom make a breathable mesh wristband which allows me to slide out the top section and use the kb and have a cover to close it when not in use. It will work on both my wrists
As for armband you can get those meant for handphone from sports shop like NIKE sports shop
If fashion is not important for you...
Please take a look at the page here:

Scroll down till "Armhalterung"
I found it, when i was searching for a "arm-based" outdoor-solution for my Palmcase mini(p)

Thank you for the input gents. I suspect I won't have this device on release date so I'll have to mull over these options a bit. Appreciate it.
Try ebaying for a universal mp3 armband. You should be able to find one that can fit the Touch Pro's dimensions.
You tried this:
S9 Fitness Pack
I got it and it fit the TyTn II perfectly (obviously came with the S9 headset as well!)

Hmm. I want the S9 HD's. But I might order just the armband by itself!
Link to just armband: [Link]
i just wish the s9 hds worked outside! even if i hold the phone in my hand in front of me the connection is still ****
and wen its cold i want my hands in my pockets! agh
Bump
Anyone ever find anything that worked?
I found these - http://www.amazon.com/BLACK-CELLET-...ts=1&colid=&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
Buy it has bad reviews about some glue like substance and such.
I'm desperately looking for an armband that has a clear cover over the front so I can control the phone.
Cord hole is not too important. I work out with my Jabra BT8010 Stereo bluetooth headphones all the time (LOVE them!)
That motorola S9 stink! Had one for a day before returned to newegg. Ear pieces were uncomfortable. But the solid band on the back of the head was annoying for working out! Benchpress with music was impossible (bench would knock off the headphones)
Hi guys, I'm writing to you in order to get some advices/experiences. The old handy of my wife is slowly dying and it's time to think bout something new. I'm writing in this section because she is a Sony Ericsson lover and she grabs my HTC Desire whenever she can to play Angry Birds...
The point is that I don't have ANY experience on Sony Ericsson Android models...plus the few of them I could hold in my hand didn't really impressed me at all..actually..let's just say I didn't like them at all..
So..beacuse of our budget I first was thinking to get her a ZTE Blade, which seems worth its cost..but before moving on I would like to read some of your opinions: you that you own this X10...are you satisfied? Would you recomend it?
And last but not least: is it a tough phone? I mean..I know with tecnology you HAVE to take care...but my wife just can't do that: she really doesn't pay ANY attention to her "tecnological stuff" & she's SO MUCH in love with her present handy cause it survived any sort of torture you can put ur handy through!!
So..I could get the ZTE at his full price on eBay...or the X10 with a discount of around 200€ on a local shop...which one to choose?
Hope I didn't brake any forum rule with this..
Anybody there?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
When i had my x10 it had a rubber case and it was pretty resilient, the stock screen protector on a new x10 saves the screen some damage but a touch screen phone in the same pocket as your keys is a bad idea.
The only hardware problem i can think of is the microusb port on the phone has a habit of coming loose (although i never had a problem with it)
Regards
Vengeance
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Mind you the x10 has got a larger screen, in general feels like a more quality phone. You can pick up a cheap case (the rubber ones not silicone). The buttons on the front are subject to some wear and tear, should be fine if you don’t torture it
There was a guy from India ,he posted his phone which got under a BUS..screen cracked, buttons not working but voila he could make calls, half of the screen was working with touch...if you talk about build quality X10 indeed is on the strongest phone.
and with 2.3 X10 is as par with arc as i know women don't care about bravia display, exmor r crap and all..!!

Welcome in China
Even if you found a "visual" clone, trust me, in 99% case it's just the visual and the sound quality and the componant quality is poor and crappy. When it's just a cable, a piece it can be ok.
Above all for sound products, always paid the genuine product, always !

Just my point hence why I used the term inspiration lol. Things will alway be copied and sometimes the copied version is far better than the original.
It just made me laugh when I can access this on IG I just had to post it here
I bought them and they worked great for a week, I dropped them ONCE and they fell apart, the button cover came out the whole body came unattached to the bottom cover. I kept on using them until today I dropped them in the hall and the battery isn't working and it won't connect to my phone, the headphones just won't turn on. They do sound great but the build quality is straight-up ****.
Seems to be sold out everywhere. Is there a similar one available anywhere?
