I've been trying to find a universal remote program that's compatible with the prophet. So far, I can't find anything. I tried the latest Novii, and the IRDA remote II. But it doesn't seem to be compatible. Does anyone have any success?

No, I haven't found anything. I wonder why the IR in the prophet is that different from the rest of the current pda's, especially from something like the wizard. It seems like every program out there thinks it's not compatible with the prophet. I wonder if it's just a hack away from fooling these programs to think it's compatible.
Any news on this issue? Does anyone at least know of a reg hack or something to fool these programs (eg, novii, etc) into thinking the IR is compatible?
I tried Novii remote when I had a magician and found that the IR was too feeble to work at any sensible distance. I've not bothered to try it on my prophet yet as the web site does not mention WM5 compatability.
Unless they updated the software, but I tried novii a few months ago, it was still incompatible (the program launches but says they don't recognize the built in IR. I know that these non-consumer IR are useless in terms of distance, but sometime I just want a working remote even if it's right in front of the TV or vcr (b/c some of the machines I have don't even have a remote). So if anyone can find a software that at least thinks the prophet IR is compatible, that's a start.

wow, and is it really possible?
The relatively new version 4 of the novii remote deluxe is compatible to the QTek s200 (HTC Prophet or XDA Neo).
But I'm still not able to get it to work. It freezes right after choosing the "Flip screen" properties.
Maybe someone has a suggestion?

You are completely wrong as NoviiRemote IS compatible with WM5. You can see it on product page at www.novii.tv/pocketpc/deluxe, chek 'compatibility' option on the right.

I didn't have such a problem, but why wouldn't you contact Novii's support team? They are quick to respond.

Now it's freezing again just when starting the application. I've nothing changed...
It seems that this application is a very, very unstable one.

It seems it's just a beta version, so I guess it may be a problem. Have you got an answer?
Anyone know of a program that would allow the TyTn to act as a bluetooth keyboard for another device? I've heard the motorola Q can do this, but I haven't seen it myself. Thanks for any help.

These two skin are similar to the original one.
Are there any Kaiser/Diamond style skins which are applicable in wm6.1?
When I use the one which is for wm 6.0 in wm 6.1, the 2G dial key becomes dial record.
Any solution for this problem or any Kaiser/Diamond style skins which are applicable in wm6.1?

Hi guys... does anyone happen to know where I can find a .cab for the HTC Volume Control from the TouchPro (the one with both System & Ringer tabs on the same page). I can only find the original Diamond volume control in these forums, but I know you wizard ROM cookers put this one in your custom ROM's.
If I've missed this in my searching I can only apologise. Cheers guys (& gals)!
Search for Swtos's ROM. I'm sure I saw it there as a cab, haven't tried it.

thanks for you reply. i tried that registry tweak a few days ago and it had no effect. i think it's because i have wm5 , my dad has a wizard (wm6) with wmp working when he pushes the power off button and in his case the buttonmap key was missing from te registry. i don't think i have other solutions then to upgrade to the slow wm6 rom

There are several cooked wm6.x ROMs that are very responsive on the Wizard. You just have to find one that fits for you.
