I HAVE JUST AQUIRED A SPV M1000 FRENCH WHICH IN REALITY IS QTEK 2020 MANUFACTURED BY HTC WHICH ALSO MANUFACTURES O XDA AND I MATE. BUT THE VERSION I GOT CAME WITH ORANGE BUNDLED PROGRAMS. THE PDA PHONE IS SIM LOCKED AND WORST, SOME OF THE NORMAL PPC PROGRAMS WHICH WORKED FINE WITH THE UNLOCKED VERSION JUST WON'T WORK WITH THIS ORANGE ONE. IS ANYBODY FAMILIER WITH THIS PROBLEM ( A FRENCH ONE). THANKS
If you want to unlock the M1000, do a search on this site for a piece of software called xda2unlock. That will unlock it hopefully. I have an M1000 myself and i have never had any problems with running any software, can you give more details?
NO LUCK SO FAR AND I TRIED SOME OXDA UNLOCK PROGRAM WHICH I FOUND ON THIS FORUM, BUT NO CHANCE.
TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE MY SPV M1000 HAS BEEN VERY UNSTABLE LATELY IE: EVERY 3 OR 4 DAYS THE UNIT WILL LOCK UP AND NEITHER THE POWER BUTTON OR SOFT RESET WILL WORK AND WHEN I REMOVE THE BATTERY, I LOSE ALL MY DATA AS IF I DID A HARD RESET.
ORANGE FRANCE HAS ALREADY REPLACE MY UNIT 3 TIMES.

I've been using a Magician for the past 18 months (O2 Xda II mini) and have just ordered myself an iMate JAMin. It's a freebie on my current business phone plan.
Can someone tell me if the Prophet has suffered from the same problems with GPRS that the Magician has - i.e. trouble connecting to GPRS a second time, which seemed somehow related to the CallerID software?
And what English ROM is considered the best/most stable at present? Or put another way, which ROM version(s) should I avoid? :roll:

I upgraded and so far have not had a repeat of the GPRS issue you mention.
As for best ROM, someone else can answer that. Be careful though, some people have reduced thier pride and joy to a mere paper-weight after trying to flash to a new ROM. :shock:
Hello evrybody,
After my qtek S100, I have now the M600. Very good device but I randomely loose the gsm network, with my S100 evrythink was ok. My radio version is 02.07.20 Rom version is 2.10.1.30 FRE.
I'm going to ask Orange a new M600 as they as not able to fix the problem.
Does someone have a idea about this problem.

Hi Folks, After trawling the wizard forums Im hitting a brick wall (GEDDIT??)
Story begins when we bought in 5 new Tytn's and recycling 2 existing wizard's (spl 2.xx rather than 2.xx.xxx from what I understand would have meant G4)
Our company decided to move from Vodafone to Orange (better deal yadda yadda). I have used Schaps wm6/Touch I for the 32bit Tytns and all is well. However, the g3 wizards refuse to show network settings so gprs and mail cannot be setup. I tried flashing to the wizard love rom which initially worked as a phone ok but this rom didnt utilize the direct push which is important to us. After trying another rom from here it froze at 99% and the update program said to reboot it and try again but it kept failing. When I arrived in work this morning its still sat here with the tricolour screen and the usb indication does work.
Is the phone fcuko'd or is there some sort of bootloader available that just writes rather than interrogates what is already installed? I have since tried reflashing it with the paradox and wizard love roms but its bailing out on me with the error 264. Apologies if im missing womething from the wiki but ive read and taken in so much yesterday and today I now feel like im reading german.

as i see, many pepole have the same problem here, as i have too, for some issue no service could be found on Magician or what ever name it has, my own one worked fine for 2 years then stopped receiving service from operator, not stolen, as gift from a friend than travel too much, i give it to him to test it abroad, and it worked fine on some operator and not at all on other carrier, i have now a smartphone but can't leave it with out understanding what happend,
i have tried the last rom from cotulla,
tried rom upgrade, radio upgrade ....
finally i' got an idea, the problem apearseas i remember after switching gprs on from operation, and some times when the gprs can't be detected the divice worked fine back, and by testing, changing band and other network related stuff i finaly got a message that says to turn off the connection data to use the gsm network back,
i don't find a proper way to do it,
if some body would try this perhepse that's the real cause for this damn "No Service" message
PS, with wwe o4 from cotulla, the green light indicator blink again but the phone don't pass calls

i think it's not logique but the persone how told me that used to have the same trouble and by changing the bat every thing goes right for him

Hi guys,
I need your help repairing my S100.
I was trying to sell it to a friend who would buy it if it worked with the sim card found in his Vodafone HSDPA/3G modem.Then he inserted the card, found network, then after a few minutes it performed a soft reset.
Then it said(where the rom version is)"bad radio".
Then I performed hard reset, when it said "No radio", then booted up.
Then after a few minutes, it got frozen.
Then I did a soft reset and got a red message"bad radio" and it won't boot.
It only boots up after hard reset, then it can be used as a PDA for a few minutes.Then freezes, then it will not boot again until the next hard reset.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem - tried to use different sim cards and different ROM's and nothing - no service at all - the phone just give an error :/ any idea's how to repair it ?

I had the same problem and accidentally fixed it.
Perhaps I was just lucky, but why not try switching to different SIM card, cleaning it, put it on different mobile phone, and put it back on magician.

i have trouble in my magician to...after upgrade rom and radio to 1,12...know my magician is cotulla wm 6.1, but cant make a call and sms...on startup no radio...somebody can help me please..?
