Can I Sync My XDA SMS Inbox with Outlook on My Laptop?

Hi,
I am a newbie to this site. I spend alot of my days at my computer and recieve many SMS's throughout the day. It is a bit awkward to have to write the SMS messages with my XDA sitting in its cradle. Is there some sort of cool app where I can write the SMS on my latptop and have the XDA sync and send automatically. I searched the net and found a program called SMS2MAIL but it does not really automate the process, anything else out there?
Thanks,
Danny

Try Jeyo Mobile Companion
As far as I know the closest thing to what you want is Jeyo Mobile Companion. Follow this link for a review: While I haven't tried it myself the initial comments look good.
Software Not Ready Yet
Hey,
Thanks for the suggestion and purchased and tried the software and it would not work on my laptopn and hung my XDA. It is still in Beta stage for sure and their support team has not resolved the issue. Saw other posts on their website from others experiencing the same problem.
In theory, if they could get it working, this is the application I am looking for, I'll keep you posted,
Danny
MTUX Remote, u could write sms from your laptop & send thru your XDA.
Summary: View& Control your PPC on your desktop.
View your Pocket PC from your desktop and Control it by using keyboard and mouse.
Hope this help.
MTUX Remote Works good
Thanks,
This App works like a charm, there is a delay between the device and the laptop but i can totally live with that.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Danny
Another Jeyo...
Hi!
I have used Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook
https://developer.handango.com/Plat...Type=2&catalog=0&sectionId=0&productId=121875
It installed and worked fine for a few days... than I could not open Outlook anymore (that was very annoying) and I disinstalled it...
Since I really liked the application I would try again... if anyone knows why it might not work or stop working... help!

Where can we get this MTUX Remote?
:?: How could we have the MTUX Software, i really need it, please help.
I tried the MTUX Remote, it is only for sending sms from desktop? Anybody know how to synchronize sms data (to keep & to save important message) from XDA II to desktop? Any software for this?
jeyo has a long way to go yet I believe.
-1.0.1 only sync for inbox no sync for sent, drafts etc.
-major problem with restoring the backup. it disabled sms functionality!
Could you explain more detail about "disabled sms functionality"? After restoring back up it disabled the sms function?
I mean that when accessing the Inbox you did not have the SMS option. You could not send or receive messages. If you go to Accounts there was no option for enabling the SMS.
Ok, tu finikas; i will try then. so the one things i should avoid is not to restrore the back up. Anyway, how do you handle this problem?
i had to rebuild i-mate as it was new!
Have you tried the Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook? is this the same product? I just download & try the Jeyo Mobile Companion, the problem is when the Active Sycn is disconnect the sms were gone too. How to copy or import the sms from the mobile/XDA to the pc?

How can I syncronize/backup my SMS to PC?

Hi All,
I'm sure this has been asked before so I apologise for repeating the question, but please can anyone tell me how I can syncronize or save my SMS's from my XDAII to my desktop PC so I don't loose them when I upgrade the Rom or do a hard reset.
I cannot believe they did not think about including this functionality, my old PDA running windows CE 1.0 was able to do it so why O2/Microsoft didn't think people would want to be able to do this is beyond me!
I have figured out if you copy the Messaging folder you get som of the sent sms's as *.mpb files which you can open in notepad but this is really an acceptable solution and I only seem to be able to see the sent SMS's not the received ones.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

PIM databases - import from XDA II to XDA Exec

I don't use Outlook, so I previously used to use Sunnysoft Backup to regularly archive the PIM databases (calendar, contacts, tasks) from my old XDA II. I have just traded it in for a Dopod 900 (XDA Executive). All is good - except - how can I get the PIM data from the Sunnysoft backup file and into my Universal?
I see that the databases are different between WM2003 and WM5. I suspect that some of you will have come across this situation and will be able to suggest possible solutions.
TIA

Hi!
Since you're using SunnySoft BackUp Manager have you written in to SunnySoft regarding this issue? May be they can help
As for myself I painstakingly key in every contact from my O2 XDA II to my QTEK 9000 since I'm not using Outlook too. Lucky I don't have 5000 contacts to key in
FOSA,
Yes, I have written to Sunnysoft about this issue, just haven't received a response yet. For the benefit of other users I will post it on this thread when I do. Meanwhile ... suggestions please !
Thanks,
philg
C'mon guys - help me out; still no response from Sunnysoft yet ! Thx - philg
I'm pleased to report that Sunnysoft have resolved this problem for me. Special thanks to David SvaĊĦek, Technical Specialist.
Thanks a lot, David !

someone in other post as said that doesn't work on wm5 devices..
it's true?
nope thats wrong.
I have used it for 6 months. The only hassel i had is after i installed my pc and outlook every time again i got a different hardware ID. So i used to write to Jeoy everytime i reinstalled my system to get my valid copy to work.
Sometimes the addon hangs and crashes Outlook but this are minor bugs. Nice tool so far, i have missed it to backup up my last sms. Oh and you can send sms out of the pc if the PDA is connected via active sync.
I recommend that tool.
Regards,
Falk
Fantastic!
it works! many many many thx
Also works with some "cosmetic error messages":
AIM production's SMS Cool
