Just got my Qtek 9100 today and I tried to tweak the date/time display on the top right corner of the display, ie. go to shell and create binary value TBOpt 13 00 00 00. And unfortunately... the time is fine, but the date is in BOLD format, so I couldn't see the year. That is, it looks like this:
25/11/0
18:05
-> only 0 in year part, 5 is missing. Any1 how to do it properly? Pls show me. thnx ^^
I've been searching for 2 days, but nothing so far. I think Universal users have this problem too.
spb pocket pc tips & tricks
Have you guys tried spb pocket pc tips & tricks? This will perform this tweak for you, although the value mentioned TBOpt 13 00 00 00 is the same on my magician.
I deleted the key TBOpt from HKLM/software/msft/shell, and the time is still there in bold.
I tried tweaking with battery pack pro, but they only add the 13 00 00 00 value into the TBOpt registry.
I haven't seen a fix for the bold font yet. I tried the Universal registry tweak, which allowed me to change the date to a M/DD format that was not on the regional settings list.
The problem is it also made the OK button go away. Made it a bit difficult to close my programs, so back to the bold.

Why can´t any theme be black in top and bottom bar??
I make an black theme, but when I load it in to me 9100 it´s always light grey... I want it black!
Please help.!?
If you modify your theme with a cab editor, you just need to modify a value :
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\
Modify value 5 (REG_BINARY) to hexa 00 00 00 00 (Black).
You can also look at this wiki page : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WindowsMobile5Colors
Martinlbb
You could also send post your theme.
I'll modify it.
Martin
Could you post a very basic theme that uses registry key 5 to get the black bars?
I just tried again - and just setting key 5 does absolutely nothing on my Qtek 9100.
Here's what I did...
Opened PHM Regedit
Went to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color
Added a new Binary value labeled "5"
Set value to "00 00 00 00"
.. waited a while so that the registry could be written away ..
Performed a soft reset
.. waited for the PPC to start up ..
Top and Bottom bars are blue.
Opened PHM Regedit
Went to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color
Checked for Binary value labeled "5" - it's there, and set to "00 00 00 00"
So.. no luck with that registry setting here :|
I can only get purely black bars using:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Theme.tsk::Color_SoftkeyFlatCenter = 00 00 00 00
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Theme.tsk::Color_TitleFlatCenter = 00 00 00 00
Where Theme.tsk is my theme's name.
The titlebar on my Wizard suddenly started displaying the current date. In Bold. Didn't used to do that. I found a bunch of articles on Google about how to tweak the registry to fix this, unfortunately all the registry values they list don't match the ones I find when I go into the editor (even tried two different ones). I have ROM 2.26.20.2.
date in title bar
If you go into Settings-Clocks and alarm-More and uncheck "display the clock on title bar in all programs" it should remove it, but it will display battery meter instead.
Close, but....
Nope. That doesn't do it.
I figured it was a registry tweak somewhere...ya know 1-on, 0-off kinda thing but i haven't found anything.
Ya know 1-on 0-off
If you want to risk messing with it try HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today
Date 0
Enabled 1
That's a little vague.

The ONLY way for the date to appear in the title bar like you describe is by tweaking the register. Is the date displayed in numerical form ie: 9/9/07? Does the time also appear under the date? In the registry, go to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/SHELL. If you see this binary : TBOpt
13 00 00 00
it's been tweaked. Delete this binary, then soft re-set. The date should be gone.
Bingo!
That did the trick! Though how 13 00 00 00 is a binary (with a 3?) I don't know. Of all links I found on this, none of them had this answer, though several talked about changing the decimal value of TBOpt. I was reluctant to change the type of value as opposed to the content of the value.
Is there some sort of guide to registry contents, so that I don't have to ask dumb questions here?

I can't remember, but somewhere around the beginning of this forum, there s a sticky or wiki that has a guide for all kinds of tweaks for the wizard. You can do a search to find it.
8125
2.25.11.1
That's one of the places I checked, but it was talking about decimal values. Even though I can do binary-decimal conversions, '13 00 00 00' as a binary value still has me scratching my head.
How do you change the color from the text on the today screen, my appointments are in white on a white background.
In the registry go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\4. Change the value to "00 00 00 00" for black or "00 00 FF 00" for blue. I try more colors without problems. I use FF FF 80 00 for yellow. this is well seen for quite a light background (photo)
notice: modify this registry key with memaid was weird. I try then total commander and there was no problem.

Try this:
http://www.colorpicker.com/
Copy the color from the upper text box, remove # sign and add "00".
If you want to understand what it means you can take a look here:
http://web.njit.edu/~kevin/rgb.txt.html
http://cloford.com/resources/colours/500col.htm
The first three groups of numbers (00 00 00) are standing for RGB (red green blue) in hexadecimal.
where can I find the registery using TCM? Thanks in advance

If you mean Owner Information, you can go to setting> display and light> items on today > owner information and remove the tick from there....
OR other wise post some screen shots....

I have had this issue with a number of WM phones in the past and the only way I managed to sort it out was by doing what is quoted above.
Mr Frog
I solved it by registry
Thanks
To solve this, All one need to do is to first disable the TouchWiz UI from settings and then turn off the display of info from regular windows mobile settings.
same issue
I have Samsung Omnia i8000 (with Windows mobile 6.5). I have same issue as engwas. All replies in this thread are solving showing Owner information in today screen. (I had tried it all, no luck).
I want to disable showing owner information window when I unlock phone or turn phone on.
When I bought phone, no Owner Information was shown when unlocking.
After I had set Owner information in Settings -> General Tab -> Owner Information -> Identification, Owner information window started to appear after unlocking or turnning phone on...
Has somebody solved this issue? Where can I disable showing this information?"
Why not remove this informations ? If you do it, it will disappear

Why don't you share for all ?
In WM6.1, Under Owner Information it has Option "when the device is turned on, display:"
- Identification
- Notes
If let it blank, it is not showed up however in WM6.5
There is not have the Option Tab, only Identification and Note Tab
So, in Registry it may contains a key to control that option
But I cann't find what it is ? who know that ?
After few days, I have found the solution to show and/or disable the My Info screen at power up before lockscreen or normal screen show up.
Thanks to this Blog http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=7498413&postID=1731934624225103946
this trick apply to WM6.5.x only
Under Registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Owner
Open key [Owner] and [Owner notes] under Binary
[
00 00 00 00 .....00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 .....00 00 00 00
...............
00 00 00 00 .....00 00 00 00
]
check the last 2nd bit (red), THEN
- set to 00 => to disable My Info screen (it is same as set Identification under Option Tab of Owner Information in WM6 or WM6.1)
- set to 01 or 08 in order to show up My Info at startup or power up screen before show up Lockscreen.
Anybody know how to disable My Info screen in WM6.5 when turned power on ?
I want to keep Owner Info to register some software however everytime it appears on screen at start up. How can we disable it? anybody know key in registry related to this screen ?, In WM6.1 under Owner Info it has Option tab but in WM6.5 nothing to set.
Thanks GOD..........
