I ask as it seems cheaper to buy the us version than the english..
anyone any idea of where to get it for best price, and can you use the us version in uk?

I sent a western union mo for a single cellphone and they reply that in order for them to send me the phone I need to buy 5. in no moment that was mention,the only thing that was mention was that if I buy 5 phones the shipping cost would be free. I request my money back and they refuse to send it,i lost my money.

So, why not just flash the WWE ROM to it? Expansys are checking to see if the paper documentation in box is multilingual or not; I may buy device if so. I wonder if I need to HardSPL to do this and if so, so what?

Hey toyfreak and others -- if any of you ends up buying the Spanish version and flashing it with the WWE ROM, I'd be really interested to hear how it's done and if it works. I've quickly become very dependent on my P6500 and chafe at the thought of spending $1000 to replace it if it ever needs to be sent away for service or -- even worse! -- gets stolen. It would be nice to know that there are less expensive replacement options out there.

Not true. I used to sell on eBay and paypal wasn't available to me so I used Western Union sometimes.
I agree that scammers always use it, but that doesn't mean that all using it are scammers.
I see now mobileplanet.com (expansys-usa.com) now has the p6500 for $734.99... Damn HTC for not making a US-spec Touch HD!

Need a little advice from the community....please be kind, I am about to sell my TD2 and get an HD2, I looked on expansys website, I went on the U.S. website the price is $829.00, but i took a look at the UK website is says the price is about $530 with shipping and handling the only thing is its the english UK version, My question is can I order it from the UK and flash an english ROM on it so that it can work in the U.S., I am really trying to avoid the crazy price of almost 900 bucks, people please enlighten I really want this phone

C-version can purchase in Russia (after 23.10 ~850-900$, but i don't know seller from us).. U-version (the same except modem) - in Korea

Hi, I live in Ecuador and the networks here are Claro and Movistar. I think the 910C is the version I need but not 100%. I am visiting the States in 2 weeks and want to bring back the new phone with me, so I need to get this purchased right away so it can be shipped on time. Do you know what the difference is between the 910C and 910U? If you develop for one, will it be compatible with the other? I will be happy to contribute to your fundraiser campaign to make sure it gets funded.
I am *only* interested in this phone with a custom rom, I don't want all the extra Samsung apps. I want pure Android. So it's very important to me to make sure I buy the right phone that is going to be modded by the community.
I'm having some trouble finding someone that will ship it to the States quickly enough for a reasonable price.

Depends on your VAT. Anyway one of those shops got good reviews from outside purchasers and they apparently speak English and German if you send them a mail.
I would avoid Russia if possible.

Keep in mind, that some models have a REGION-lock: you must first make a call in the region the phone is locked of a minimum of 5 minutes, before SIM-cards of other regions are accepted!

Thanks I contacted them. I also contacted the redcoon one, I used the dutch branch once and got positive experiences with it. If anyone wants to know I'll comment when they reply.
Can't you simply flash a ROM (as long as the modem is the same) from a different region (other than the EU) and unlock the region-lock?

Ah I thought you were from the EU. Well then best guess is a importer which gets South American units or a Middle Eastern retailer like one of those UAE shops.
