Locked keys - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

HI!
Everytime I turn off my qtek and turn it on all the keys are blocked.
I have to make a soft reset to bring them back to work.
If I turn it off, when I turn it on again it is the same.
Please help me.
Thnx for any suggestion.

i guess i need to return this for repair, now the problem more than that each time i turn on from sleep mode the contact flash in , then the menu. it seem that thebutton is locked up or something.
Try doing a hard reset before returning the unit..
I only tried doing ''Clear storage'' on system menu I don't know how to do the button trick.. done many time but always fail maybe the right button is still lock to press the reason why the hard rest goes to cancel.

XDAII soft resets when powerbutton pressed

Hi,looking for some help please. The PDA has suddenly started to soft restart everytime the powerbutton is pressed, either to switch on or off. I can only get it to screen off on auto timed shut down. It will take incoming calls okay but if I press the on button to make a call it resets. Any ideas before I hard reset it? Last thing done was add a contact, no updates or the likes.
Had quick search for this but couldn't find an answer, for this problem just the jammed soft reset button which my has not got that works normally.
Thanks inadvance

Have you tried to switch it off by an application like ppcShutdown, to see if you have the same problem ?
Cheers,

Hi Dotfred, I haven't no. It will time off okay after 3 minutes of nil use. But have to press the powerswitch to turn back on. Then wait for soft reset function to run its course.
Do you have to use the powerswitch with ppc shutdown to 'switch' it back on?
I've been able to back everything up now so will try the hard reset see if that sorts it.
Any other thoughts would be appriecated
Many thanks

I was trying to find out if it was related to the switch off of the ppc or to the power button.
Since it seems this is purely related to the power button, I wonder if an installed prog has been assigned to the power button and so generates a soft reset. I think that your best choice is indeed a hard reset, because I really don't know if there is an easy way to find out what's happening with the power button.

my tmobile 8125, someone plz help!!!

my power button does not turn on, or shut down my phone, the only way for me to turn off my phone is to take out my battery, but if i slide the keyboard down just the right way when the phone is off, it will turn on by itself. Other than that the phone works fine. Anybody have any ideas? is it possible to remap the power button to another button? Thanks.
Well, you have the "on" part figured out. There are free apps that can shut down the phone. Here's one:

on/off button defect - am i able to reactivate the phone without that button?

hello...
my on/off button is defect. so i cant switch it on. Only via reset
can i configure another button for reactivation from standby? because that does not work anymore too
thanks for help
not sure about hermes but my phone turn on at the press of any key unless i set it only to turn on by on button in buttons in settings
Go to the settings, then to system, then go to the keylock options in there and set it to not lock at any time.
Works with any key, but its not really a good idea to have that in your pocket.
I would say you should get the button repaired instead.
Thanks a lot guys...
does someone knows how i can switch off the phone? everytime i want to swithc it off i have to push the reset button or do a soft reset :/ i thin k a regular shutdown would be better...
i friggin have the same problem. My girl dropped my phone and the power button is messed up...
I press the camera button to turn on tho.. i cant turn off unless i let it sit and it does it itself.
