In the system settings for sound & reminders, I can set a max time for the LED of 60 min. Any Reg settings to extend?
Thanks

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
basically , the default wav is too soft. try the original nokia SMS tone.
Take a look at Super Alert from WhittakerMoore. I think it'll do what you need and it also fixes the Notifications Bug!
phoneAlarm
phoneAlarm works great!
Repeating Alerts
Hi
I'll give my vote to SuperAlert also. Works very well. Pity that e-mail option is missing, but otherwise very good. The new version adds a set up wizard, which I personally find to be very long winded and confusing. Better to just go into basic set up and configure each repeating alert from there.
I have mine set to repeat a missed alert every 30 seconds for an hour. Config as follows:
1. Check the "Use Volume " box and set the desiredvolume on the slider
2. Uncheck the "Only use system setting" radio button
3. Check the "Additionally open" button and choose the sound you want for the repeating alert. You can test the sound an volume level here too.
4. In the "Use Settings below", set the following in the 4 boxes:
"After" = 0 (seconds)
"Play" = 1 (time)
"Every" = 30 (seconds)
"For" = 120 (repeats)
Repeat this for all the types of Alarms you want to repeat. You can choose any or all of the following alarms: Clock, Calendar, Task, PI Alarm Notes, Third party, New SMS and Missed Calls. I have found all but the 3rd party alarms to work well. If they added e-mail alerts, it would be perfect in my mind!
Hope that helps

Found a bug :-(
If in Calendar you set Reminders to anything less than the default 15 minutes (ahead of the appointment), then the Reminder does not fire up at all (i.e. no reinder display and no ring at the set reminder time).
Whom dp we report this to get it fixed?
Hiya All,
I have two questions regarding the Jam led:
1. In normal operation the LED flashes under green color around each 7 seconds. Is there anyway to shorten the interval to around 4 seconds ?
2. When an appointment is secheduled, the notification window pop ups and display the appointment detials. After I'm dismissing the notification window, the LED still flashes with yellow color and only SR can resume the LED to its green light. Is there any way after dismissing the appointment to resume the LED to green light again ?
Thanks in advanced,
Bright Star
hehe i can't even see the difference between these two colors.
flashing blue would be nice
1. There's no way of changing the flashing interval.
2. Check your settings under Sounds & Notifications - Reminders - Flash light for...
Thanks for the interval info...
However, when I'm going into notification settings and removing the flash list for missed calls or new sms messages, after approving the new settings, it's always coming back to default.
Any ideas how to fix this ?
Thanks in advance,
Bright Star
default to what?
Defualt to flash light and notification on the Start line...
Anyway to remove all notifications such as missed calls, incoming sms and voice mail from the Start line ?
Tia,
Bright Star
Yeh mine seems to sometimes get 'stuck' on flashing the orange light, even if you've dismissed the alert. It does it for some SMS's when on vibrate mode, and some reminders on normal mode.
You can fix SMS's by going into Sounds & Notifications, clicking the 2nd tab then ok. I've found no way to fix it for reminders other than SR.
Annoying!
Noone found why the led can't be flashing any faster?
I apologize if this has been answered somewhere else, but I have searched for quite a while to find a solution to this. The vibration when you receive an SMS message seems to last an extremeley long time. I've found how to shorten the vibration duration with the ringtone via registry settings, but this had no effect on the SMS notification. I've also read that the SMS vibrate lasts as long as whatever ringtone you have selected, but a change to a shorter ringtone had no effect.
Is there another registry setting that will allow me to modify the duration of the vibration for an SMS notification?
Thanks for any help!
Device: Cingular 8125
ROM: Cingular_RUU_WIZARD_217_AKU2_WWE
I'd like to know this as well if possible. When I've got it on vibrate on the desk in work, getting an SMS makes the whole room shake!
Would like to know this aswell!
no solution for that one?
The vibration duration is consistent to the duration of the notification tone you are using even when on vibrate only. So if you have a tone that does a quick chirp your phone will vibrate for the duration of that quick chirp. If you choose a 10 second long sound file your phone will vibrate for 10 seconds.
Hope that helps.
Hello guys!!!!
my second problem...
is there any modify to extend the duration of led notification for missed calls and sms???
i think is normal that LED should flash until I read the sms or missed calls!!!!
many thanks guys
Hello
There is a way to do it. Use the cab on this forum so you have the otion to select LED notification. Then if you go to start/settings/all settings/sounds and notifications in there is a drop down menu. Select whatever notification your after and change the time duration from the default 5 mins to no limit.
