Incoming call vibrate with O2 Plus - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

I'm using O2 Plus and want the phone to ring and vibrate for incoming calls.
When I go into edit the profile I'm using I only have two options "Vibrate only" which turns the speaker off, and "Vibrate upon receipt of call" which the phone vibrates when I answer the call.
If I go into Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications, some "events" give me the option of Vibrate but "Incoming call" is not one of those events?
So where do I setup ring and vibrate together?
Cheers, marto.

on my jam its there under sounds and notifications. i have it set to ring & vibrate for incoming calls. so i guess your rom doesnt support that. maybe if you install the imate rom which is the one i'm using. 1.12.00 WWE its available on this FTP site. But then again i'm not that familiar with all the tweks for windows mobile ppc so there could be another solution.

Start > Phone > Tools > Options
in the Ring Type dropdown chose "Vibrate and Ring"

Depends on what you want it for:
Go to Start/Settings/[Personal tab] Sounds & Notifications/[Notifications tab]
Check the events. You might have one that you have the Vibrate checkbox ticked. For the Event - Phone: Incoming call, you might have the Ring Type set to Vibrate, Vibrate and ring or Vibrate then ring.

kind souls pls answer my questions?? a few inside.

1) How to set vibrate plus sound for my rings and sms alerts
2) any good freeware incoming call full screen pic?
3) is there a mame32 that works with xperia?
4) does anyone has error mmsing? i get "message format corrupt"
5) any good freeware today screen customizer? as good as the SE panel at least..
many thanks...
1) settings > phone > ring type: Vibrate and ring
2) s2u2 and s2v
for 1) --> Start --> Options --> Sounds & Notifications --> Notifications --> Incoming calls or Start --> Options --> Phone
for 2) --> www.ac-s2.com .... see S2SU
bye
thanks...
but s2u2 looks more like just a simple full screen caller..
hmmm worried it will eat up cpu etc anyother?
(p/s i tried the vibrate setting.. sms doesnt... seperate settings?
1. S2u2 is really by the far the best all in one full screen caller ID program. I haven't faced any major issues with running s2u2 as far as cpu usage goes. And its freeware! Would recommend you use it.
2. You will need to use two separate options to set your incoming calls to ring and vibrate and the same for sms.
Go to start-->settings-->personal-->sounds and notifications-->notifications
Drop down at 'event' and select incoming call. Under ring type select vibrate and ring.
Now go back to the 'event' drop down and this time select New text messages. Check the box that says vibrate.
any answer for 3 , 4 , 5??
btw i found icaller... testing it.
any more ...thanks

How can the Vibrate seize to exist?

I have set my HD on vibrate as i was in a meeting.I found that i had 15 missed calls and it didnt vibrate once.
I hard reseted and still the vibrate option is nowhere to be found.
Then I upgraded my ROM and still no vibrate.
Is this a hardware problem?
Is there a solution for this????
Thnk you
Settings > Phone settings > Notifications > Phone: incoming call
What does "ringtype" say?
It should be "Vibrate and ring".
Try it out.

Vibration during call

Hi,
I had this problem
I was talking to my friend and another call came in and the phone starts to vibrate :S it was sooooo annoying and the other person did hear clearly that I have a waiting call, it was so embarrassing
Is there's any solution to make the waiting call just beeps or do something unnoticeable
Thanks
Do you have in your phone settings that with an incoming call phone vibrates first before rings? Did not check but perhaps changing that to only ring may help.
Where's that setting exactly ?
(p.s: i dont want to change the whole phone ringing settings I just want to change the way it notifies me when I have incoming waiting phone call)
Go to start/settings/personal/phone.....choose tab phone and change ring type into a setting without vibrate.....
Again did not check myself.....

That doesn't really sound like a solution to me. He wants it to vibrate on a new call but not when he's actually in a call. I can imagine that this is very annoying.
I did a quick search and found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437279 try Valert 1.21 app.
And let us know if this solves the problem.....
Thanks,
yes Pierreken it's very annoying and so embarrasssing
and @Frank Caarls VAlert ruins my volume keys and I dont think that it has something to do with my problem
Pitty.....although one of the features mentioned is "No vibration on waiting call".....
When you read through the messages it indeed creates a problem with HTCvolume control ......Ochakov needs to make an update
You have to decide which is your worst problem.....
Well I have to admit that I missed the "No vibration on waiting call"
LOL now the question is:
Which you need the most
1-Volume keys
2-Disable vibration on waiting calls
Odd, I just tried calling myself whilst already on the phone, All my mega does is beep quietly.
You can turn off Call Waiting notifications by:
Pressing Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > GSM/UMTS Services
Press Call Waiting, and get the settings, simply press "Do not notify me" and OK
How's that ?
What ROM version do you have ?
and your solution will disable call waiting service (I suppose)

Have that setting aswell in my custom Rom with the option "Notify me".....when I get a waiting call my screen lights-up.....but no vibration.....
I did try that option
but when I choose "Do not notify me" and click ok
then to check I click on "get settings" I get "Notify me" option choosen again
im using ROM version 1.28.110.3
when you press Do not notify me, press ok, then press OK to close the settings, go back into the GSM/UMTS settings and get the settings, it should have saved the settings.

No sound/vibration on incomming sms

When ring type is set to vibrate only the phone does not vibrate when I have an incomming text, when I have an incomming phone call it works ok! Is there a setting I overlooked somewhere? The only thing i get is a pop up but the phone does not get out of sleep mode altough I have selected it...
I had this. When you press the volume buttons there's 2 tabs at the top, make sure you've got system AND ring volume turned up.
Or, if that doesn't solve it, try plugging headphones in, messing with the volume, then unplugging again. This is how I accidentally fixed the issue on mine anyway haha
Settings > All Settings > Sound and Notifications > Notifications > Event: "Message: New message" > check Play Sound, Vibrate
