When I want to stream videos due an GPRS connection. I stream with MyOrb, it shows only the video in a small venster in window media player. Is there an hack to stream fullscreen. I think it has something to do with the VGA screen. On my Ipaq 4150 with wm2003 I stream the video full screen
At the moment you have to use another player, for example TCPMP (freeware)

Could someone post a link to where i can download TCPMP freeware for WM20005. thanks
ArgyleMoss: is there any reason why you couldn't use Google for that?

Hi all. Has anyone tried streaming TV using WMP10 (& PocketstreamerPro) and managed to get it in FULLSCREEN? I'm really getting peeved off with a viewable image the size of a stamp!!
Videos are OK in TCPMP, but it doesn't support streaming TV.
Or does anyone know of any plug-ins for TCPMP which allow it to stream? really need some help here..... :?
The latest tcpmp beta (1.71b IIRC) support tv streaming and mms. You should give it a try. For other format, try PVplayer

Hi again. I'm struggling to find that version of tcpmp that you quoted. I can only find version 0.71. Is that the same? Probably not! Could you point me in the right direction of a download link please? Cheers.
I'm pertty sure 1.71 was a typo. Get the latest version here:

Yes, sorry for this. The version 1 is planned soon, and we are still at zero versionning. BTW, PVplayer is only for operator coded TV or movies. TCPMP is suited for a lot of streaming channels, and can also guess the link of the stream if you provide it with the URL of the containing web page in the file open dialog.
You REALLY can stream Internet TV through TCPMP on wifi!!!

Hi again. I actually bought PocketstreamerPro, only to find it way too restrictive and quite useless (as WMP 10 only shows TV in a small window and I can't find a workaround for it).
I fiddled around with TCPMP to no end, and to no avail I might add. But then I checked back to find your response, which implies that you can definately stream through TCPMP using the 'File Open' menu. Well, as there was nothing to link to (I had no format for storing the URL), I couldn't do it.
So I found a website called TV4all.com and copied some of the URLs there and typed them into the URL bar in my browser, which opened up Windows media player on my desktop PC. There I saved it as a '.mru' playlist (also checked in associations in TCPMP in addition to HTTP and MMS) and copied that file onto my storage card. TCPMP could and did find this and presto! I'm now streaming in full screen to my betaplayer (it takes a while to actually start working though). I now have access to potentially hundreds of Internet TV channels! I will explore further, but is this the way you do it? or do you have a much simpler process? feedback is most welcome right about now!!
Thanks for your help thus far though.

thats because you're using mini while he's using a VGA device, the universal
The file open dialog is to input a mms:// adress, or the http:// of a webpage linking to your content. If you input the webpage, you will get after that the list of all available streams on this page.
Hi, I have a question...
I have this app called "Streaming Video" under Programs. I guess it was there ever since I had this. I havent used it though coz I dont know how. I wanted to try video streaming but I dont know which RTSP url to put.. WOuld you know anything about this? Thanks..
.... additional: i tried opening azn.tv and saigontivi thru the video streaming app and its not working..
Anyone got any good pages that just offer direct links to the feeds ? Nearly every site I find you have to go through multiple pages and some of them wont even show properly.
Dear guys,
I have a little question ..
Each time i look to files on my jasjar and when i put it on full screen, it stills stays quite little..
Is there a way to get a movie on real full screen ???
Thanks !
Use TCPMP for Windows Mobile, its a freeware from here http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53&release_id=224#r224
Sadly TCPMP doesn't support streaming video, which I use WMP for a lot, but cannot play full screen. I do use tcpmp for playing files of my SD card and it works VERY well.
Is there any way to get streaming working with TCPMP? Failing that is there a different player that will do the job?
OK - Update:
The latest TCPMP (0.71) does support streaming, but when I try to use it I get an "Unknown File Type" error.
I'll keep playing with it.
Which file do I use?
Is it this one? tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip
And then which cab file do I use and how?
O2 Exec user.
I'm assuming this will allow video playback and recording to use the full screen. Correct?
Many Thanks.
Use ac3.cabs.0.71 for the codec and tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71 for the player.
I just downloaded and installed Orb on my home PC and after a few minutes setting up i can now remotely access my Sky+, VCR, DVDs and photos, music documents and videos on the PC all from my MDA Pro (or indeed any broadband connected PC) anyware its connected to the internet.
It uses Internet explorer and Windows media player on the PPC so there isn't even any software to install in our precious memeory.
And it WORKS (You need a media centre type pc to get live tv streamed) Considering how complex this all is I was amazed that for once it all worked with out hours of endless tweaking, and its free.
If only the media player display was proper full screen...sigh
www.orb.com
i tried to get it working but it wouldn't see my tv card :sigh:

How do you set TCPMP to be the default player for the various media? I read a couple of posts in various forums that say that media player starts up for live streams from orb even with TCPMP installed
Not got it in front of me right now, but I belive I simply set the file associations in TCPMP to handle the streams.

Just set asx of file associate to TCPMP in option menu.
But best way should be upgrade your rom to WM6.
The Windows Media Player 10 boundle in WM6.
It's support full screen and more smooth than TCPMP in streaming play.
does anybody know where to find vlc player ppc.... the official site doesn't offer anymore... if you have it then please give me...
I've read that it's highly unstable. You can get the last draft here:
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/wince/vlc-0.8.4-test1-20051012-0130-wince.zip
If you're looking for a video player, I'd recommend TCPMP very strongly. For audio, MortPlayer (for various reasons such as supports more than wmv/mp3, has built-in screen sleep mode and button mapping, is easy to re-skin).
What was your intended use for VLC?
I agree TCPMP is a great player, used it for a long time on my ipaq, and now on my wizard, just works great
Myrddin wyllt,.. I was kinda looking for good decoders for live streaming. I love to watch live tv over wifi, watching anime, basketball, news and etc... though wmp, tcmp, streaming video, core player, or even the mplayer ( doesn't support sound with wma streaming) don't offer that much decoders.. like rstp: streaming 3gp or mms streaming mp4... and I'm even hoping that there would be a divx stream for ppc! I wish.
I had all but lost hope for this... but then I heard that vlc ppc was also able to stream video... I was hoping that it would support all decoders.. IF NOT I"ll just copy the Plugins from the VLC (PC VERSION) then put in the vlc ppc directory...
IF i came up with an error in vlc streaming then i'll try copying the plugins... though i don't know if it will work or not? But who knows.
Though if i made some mistakes, please please correct me (thats the only way i'll learn)
I HAVE GOOD DAY!
Thumb Up! TCPMP and MortPlayer!
If you want to stream 3GP through RTSP/HTTP, just use the HTC Streaming Media.
For wma streaming...why don't you use WMP?

If you're looking for a Divx stream, DIVX.COM now has a mobile player. I haven't tested it that much, but the desktop version will play almost anything I throw at it!

VLC Player for PPC
Hi, am looking out for a ppc player which could play .VOB formats without conversion. I believe VLC Player can do the job. TCPMP is not supporting VOB. Help anyone? thanks.

are these «nightly's» automatically generated by some software daily? if not, then who's posting them? or rather, wth are they? I cant figureout how to install them. whatever this vlc for winmo is, not holding my breath for it. I just wish vlc for android gets released soon, as it was announced last month but is still nowhere to be found. all I need is the ability to time stretch (fast playback speed at normal pitch/tone), but so far there's still no mobile programthat can do this on either WinMo or Android. sigh..

you must be kidding, there's nothing like tcpmp 0.81, good rom and set of plugs lol!
regardless of that, will try Kinoma(i'm surprised by that release).
I think this app is simply awesome. I will be upgrading h to full version ASAP. Great find; thanks for posting.
Best surprises:
- SPEED
- streaming podcasts
- auto update of local content
- internet radio
only thing missing that would make me pee myself: Pandora
thanks. concept is cool and could be replacement for a lot of apps. but video playback without fullscreen just doesnt get it done. maybe if you have smartphone with no touchscreen.
Yeah...it is a great app.... I love how you can use Shoutcast in the free version.
Did anyone find a way to make the YouTube part play in landscape mode?
$30 for a video player... I know WMP is not great but TCPMP is free and works darn well. Looks like Kinoma has a "free" version but the site does not tell you if this is a trial period only, if there are missing features, or ?
i found out that this version does not play my wma files, so its in some parts a limited version. ALso i could not find a qway to play youtube in landscape ?
amazing! only bad that fullscreen doesn't work.
