Is it just me or anyone else find this to be a problem? I usually leave my phone charging overnight in the the wall charger. With any other phone, it would stop charging after the battery's full...
With the Exec, even HOURS after it's fully charged, the battery still stays warm to the touch????? Is this normal???

Hi
i'm having a problem.
My phone was connected to the charger when i restarted it. Batter was at 77% and charging... after restargin, it showed my battery charge as 100% and the charging light was green/yellow!!! so is there a calibration problem? What do i do otherwise?
It's normal...
It happens to me also... I think it's the problem with the battery software module. Sometimes because of over charging, the battery gets sooo hot...
just in case get ya battery checked
try this.
Hi,
Even i was getting the same problem. While connected to charger it was showing 100%v fully charged but as i removed the charger, the battery went Red. I thought its a problem with the battery.
But it was the problem with the charger. I charge my cell using Data cable through my computer, and its working very very fine like before. I dont want to waste money on buying a new charger
Thanx,
Sandeep.

Its perfectly normal . Just remove the charger, use the device for a few mins and then recharge.
Okay so my battery hasn't been very good l8tly. Wen i charge it, it charges very quickly, and i turn the phone off while on the charger and turn it on wen it is off to see where the batter is at (the battery should be at 100% since it hasn't been on since it reached 100%), but the battery is only at 85%...is the problem the charger itself, or do i need a new battery?
My O2 Exec turns itself off and needs a reset to switch back on when the battery is fully charged. When it does this the battery then drains fairly quickly even though the charger is still plugged in. I've bought a new battery and reapplied the O2 upgrade but it still does it. Also, even though I've tried fully discharging the battery it seems to get to full charge quicker than I'd expect. Anybody any ideas please?
I have been experiencing a very same problem in the last week or so. I leave Uni to charge overnight, then in the morning the green light is on, but the Uni fails to 'wake up'. When unplugged the green light continues to be on, rather than blink and Uni needs to be reset in order for it to work.
I believe it's an aftermarket battery problem, as it doesn't happen with all of my batteries. I have a battery that discharges at the same rate it charges, e.g. in less than 2 hours.

OK, thanks. Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but I thought it started hapenning with my original battery. I'll try putting it back in and see how it behaves.
I was on holiday last week and used my HTC Magic 32b for navigation with a universal car charger. I noticed the battery was not charging so I disconnected the phone. Now the phone does not charge the battery any more and all leds are off. I have tested the battery, bought a new one and tested the USB charger and they are OK. It seems the phone is simply not charging the battery and gets very hot. The phone starts with an externally charged battery, but I have the impression the battery discharges quickly. Any idea what I can do myself?

Check the battery contacts.
I have the exact same issue, I can't get it to charge at all, the contacts look like they are fine so I don't know what else to do. It won't charge or turn on even when directly plugged in anymore with the battery in, and when the battery finally says it is charged, it depletes in maybe an hour.
Same with mine. No LEDs, battery does not charge, not even a new one. And it discharges quickly. Maybe there's a shortcircuit somewhere caused by a defective car charger.
Today my phone ran down to 0% and it shut down. When I got home I plugged the charger in at around 5pm. Now almost 7 hours later it is still not fully charged. This has never happened before.
Do you know what could be causing it to take so long?
It is plugged in to the wall.
Thanks.
either the phone is not charging at full rate or is discharging very fast. I would try to charge with phone being off, monitor battery discharge during day especially in IDLE and take it from there. You can also download program that shows charging rate.
