Hi,
I have installed the trial version of Voice Command and have done the registry changes to make it the default dialer. So when I press the bluetooth headset button it's activated.
My first problem is that it only works sometimes. It doesn't always understand me and I generally have to shout and be very 'robot' like to get it to work. Sometimes even though I hear the starting beeps it doesn't even tell me that it didn't understand, it just ignores me (bit like talking to the missus)..What is strange is that the original voice dialer worked perfectly and was very accurate. Has anyone either had this problem or got a solution?
I have seen that the product Voice2Go and was wondering if this was better. I understand that it can also support macros?

It´s your solution . The BEST
Hmm.. I'm not sure that I like the CONS
I use tomtom and definately need that.
Also, it's not just the dialer I wanted. Voice Command and Vito's Voice2go also offers the ability to use your voice to access other features like the time, next appoinments etc..

Does anybody know how to extract the excelent Cyberon Voice dialer that comes in JARJAr ROM ?I´ve emailed cyberon.com.tw and they told me that is exclusively distibuted in JASJAR ROM.
It works fabulous, and i will give a try to put it im my QTEK S100.
Thanks

Just got my K-jam. All the guys are wiping the cyberon Voice off to replace it with the voice command. So I dont know how to give you cyberon, but what I can tell you is that Voice command is much better, thus everyone with cyberon is installing voice command.
Yes, but Microsoft Voice Comand 1.5 don´t work well with Portuguese Language. Cyberon voice Commander works very, very well also in the car or in noise ambience. I´ve already tested the 2 Softwares and Cyberon´s and despite we can make voice tags for contacts and programs, after that it works fabulous...
Thanks anyway.
I tried every voice dial program and here is what I feel about them:
Fonix 2: quite accurate. But very few functions and very slow.
Fonix 3: add a lot more functions. But even slower and hard to make it work correctly.
MS Voice Command: Fast respone and accurate even with noise. Lots of function and work very well w/ the PPC (since MS knows all the detail of the OS). But it doesn't work for me since my contact list is quite big. It doesn't allow me to filter the canadiate for voice dial making it hard to return me w/ the right contact. In addition, I wish it could provide optional voice tag function.
Cyberon VC 1.2 (anyone got the lastest English version?) : Very accurate but doesn't work very well w/ noise. But it still my choice for voice dial since it allows me to filter contacts and application for voice command.

For me, this is trim down version of Cyberon VC (VC without self recongnition). Unless I really tight at RAM space, I prefer VC since I don't have to build voice tag for every contact.
re
I've used MSVC and now I'm using the Cyberon Voice Dialer (from JJ)
Its true that MSVC occupies more RAM but it doesn't requires voice tag and its very accurate too.
CVD is also accurate, small footprint and requires voice tags which will takes up a lot of RAM space if you've a lot of them.
IMO, voice tags should be created for those frequent contacts/programs etc so thst you'll keep the menory footprint small. If you have say 2000 contacts would you want each and everyone to be voice tagged and do you think you can remember all of them?
So, Cyberon Voice Dialer is still the better one if you manage your voice tags properly.
re
Sorry, it read read '...frequently used contacts/programs....'
Where do i download Cyberon Voice Dialer ?? Please help me, i need a program where i can make vocietags.

I quite like the Cyberon voice dialer utility, and use it as much for the applications as for voice dialing (saves me navigating around the Wizard when I can't be bothered), but I kinda feel like it could do a little more and wondered if there was either an update (can't see one on the Cyberon webpage) or maybe some alternative software you guys could recommned?
I was thinking about one that uses voice commands to securely lock the phone for instance, or maybe one that can do macros, control functions within Media Player (pause, play, next, etc.), and other stuff. I realise this might be a bit hopeful, but some advice/recommendations on good voice activation software woud be nice, nonetheless.
Thanks in advance.

There're several additioanl voice controller apps; see my earlier reviews linked from here.
This link does not work since the whole site has been upgraded
I have search the new FTP and could not find it...
Can you send it though PM?
This way I can try it and maybe help you to solve the issue you are facing

microsoft voice command will launch any app in the startmenu, you can rename the app to something easily recognised. you can add shortcuts to the startmenu or programs folder to point to any app with arguments, within the shortcut.
I don't know of any way to control a media player by voice other than simply launching the player. I need to use the headset for voice control if listening to audio, the recognition doesn't work if music is playing via the speaker.
Hi. I posted an inquiry about a clock program that could be linked to a bluetooth headset, but there wasn't a response so I figured it wasn't available. A few weeks later, I was informed that Voice Command allows one to get the time by giving a vocal command. However, I didn't see that function listed on the Microsoft website. It got me wondering if there was a program that gives the time through the speakers (audible clock)? It would be nice to get the time quickly without having to pull my phone out of the holster to see the time (I don't like wearing my watch). This would only work if one could map it to one of the buttons and have it turn on even in standby mode.
MS Voice command (VC) can tell you the time. You need to 'ask' for the time. It is not 100% accurate (70%), and it is definately much faster to look at it rather to push the button to activate VC, 'ask' for the time, wait for it to recognise what you are saying, and listen carefuuuuly what it said (if you are lucky that it recognise what you are saying).
There is an app that tells you the time at a specific intervals (I don't think it does on-demand-time-telling), not a full blown stable release though. Do a serach in this forum.
I would like my phone to fetch my letters from the box when they arrives. Anyone with that software?
Thanks for the reply. Is the accuracy problem based on coming out of standby? I noticed that it takes a brief moment to adjust the time when coming out of standby. When I performed a search on this forum, I didn't see such a program, but I might have restricted the search to only the Wizard forum. Perhaps I need to expand that search. Certainly, a Google search did not yield what I wanted.
The accuracy I meant was, whether it will do what you told it to do. Example, if you asked for the time, 30% (depending on your surrounding noise level), it may not recognise the command, or probably dial a number for you
Hmm.. I must admit, it is much difficult to search for that application that I've mentioned. I'll try and let you know if I got it.
found this... not the one that I'm looking for.. it is not free.. and rather heavy
http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/voicereminder.html
Thanks for looking. Yeah, you were right. It isn't quite what I'm looking for. It looks as if Voice Command is the only program that has the feature I'm looking for. Thanks again.
Long shot.. but this seems to do what you want

again, not free (not the one I remmebered)
Thanks for looking. I found an audible clock!!! And it's free.
http://www.grapefruitopia.com/smartphone/clock.shtml
It works for WM5 phones and it has to be installed in the storage card. I had it link up to the bluetooth through the Voice Speed Dial function on the Settings menu. I had to create a shortcut and paste the shortcut to the windows/programs folder.
The clock is audible. I haven't figured out how to make it go through the Bluetooth headset yet. I tried to toggle the headset with BTAudio, but when I use the headset to get the time, the headset will toggle back off. If there was a way to keep the headset on for about 3 seconds after the device receives the voice input, then I would be able to hear the time on the headset. This feature would be get for crowded areas when one can't hear the speaker.
Anyone know of a registry hack that might be able to keep on the headset for a few seconds while the time is being announced?
Thanks.
Okay. Got it working. For those who would like to use the BT headset to get the time, here is a way. Download and install the SpeakingClock program (link above) into the storage card. Download and install BTAudio (Toggle version). Download and install MortScript. Write a script to batch both programs to run in sequence.
Example:
#MortScript BT and SpeakingClock
Sleep (500)
Run ("\Program Files\BTAudio\BTAudioToggle.exe")
Sleep (1000)
Run ("\Storage Card\clock\SpeakingClock.exe")
Sleep (3000)
Run ("\Program Files\BTAudio\BTAudioToggle.exe")
Save as a .mscr file and place it in the MortScript folder. Create a shortcut of the script to the \Windows\Start Menu\Program Files folder. Use Voice Speed Dial on the Setting Menu to link a voice command to the script and you have a free speaking clock through your BT headset.
Of course, I guess it would be easier to wear a watch...but, I don't wear one.
- Cheap watch - $10
- Bluetooth head set - $40
- PDA Phone - $400
- Able to tell the time with your PDA through your bluetooth head set without looking at your watch (if you have one) - priceless
Is there a way to remap the headset button to start voice command instead of the stock voice dialer program?
It's got to be a reg key somewhere but I have yet to find it..
um, how about start -> settings -> buttons?
Sometimes the solution is so simple, you don't notice it!
Um.. yea.. ok, I think I looked there FIRST...
There has never been an option for the button on the headset for any of the phones I've had...
Thanks for the intuitive reply tho
hheheh.
Are you talking about remapping the "wired" headset button? all bluetooth buttons default to the voice command when pressed, but the wired that coems with the mogul hasn't worked for me either.
I've done some research and found a program that does it, but I think i didn't like it becuase it changed something for bluetooth, sorry I don't have the link.
I just finally decided to get a bluetooth wireless,(Motorokr s9)
Oh! The WIRED headset!
I thought you meant the button on the side of the device that normally goes to the voice app.
Its hard to change the wired one because it isn't a standard button... its hardware(HTC)-specific, and so it wouldn't appear in a standard reg key.
In fact, we're sorta lucky that the button launches anything at all, because in older HTC phones the headset button only sent an "answer" signal, so it was useless for anything other than picking up calls.
If you're desperate, you can write an app that sits waiting for the "Voice Dial" signal, and launches something else, or maybe replace the voice dial .exe with a link to voice command... which is also difficult since that program exists in the ROM... but anything is possible if you are inclined to try hard enough!
Let me hijack this thread for a bit. Maybe you can help me out with something.
What I would like, or maybe this exists already, is a method to use my S9's with TCPMP Controls - to be able to use the Next/Previous keys on the headset to switch tracks on TCPMP.
When I do so now, they make a sound, but do nothing. They do work for Windows Media Player, but WMP doesn't work well with ORB. Any ideas on how to do this

The latest version of TCPMP works with AVRCP (the bluetooth audio controls), however it is now called CorePlayer and costs $.
I've seen someone here write an app that will allow GSplayer to work with those controls, and GSplayer is free (and supports streaming audio, but not video). Its possible to adapt that to other players as well, but I haven't figured out how, and no one has made assigning custom commands to those keys an easy process (yet).
I use MortPlayer with my A2DP/ AVRCP headsets instead of WMP because its much more efficient, supports all my remote controls (and shuts the screen off to save battery after every keypress) and remembers where I was up to when I last closed the program (I hate it how WMP makes you load a playlist every time you open it!).
For streaming video, I just use TCPMP and don't bother with the remote controls... if I'm watching something on the screen, I don't mind pressing it. Remote controls for me are useful for music or any application in which the phone is tucked away somewhere. Why would you need it for video?
Well then, consider the thread hijacked. We now return to our regularly scheduled conversation.
I cannot find it for the life of me and searching brings no results either. I use voice dialling in conjunction with a blue tooth hands free in the car so it's pretty important to me.
Assuming that it is simply missing from the cooked ROM does anyone have the relevant .cab?
TIA

Search software/apps & themes forum for MSVC, i.e. MicroSoft Voice Command
Close, but no cigar, I'm not interested in running programmes by voice, I just want to say a name to the Bluetooth in the car and it dials like it used to. However, MSVC eventually is mentioned in the same sentence as CVSD which is the missing element.
It's pain to find Cybertron Voice Speed Dial, which as far as I was concerned, was part of Mobile Windows in the first place!
You can download the relevant cab file here:
