Wondering if there is a software or a rom upgrade for PPCs using WM OS to use PTT (push to talk) service given by GSM Providers.
I know that there is a PTT software for symbian os devices which doesn't have PTT.
Made a little search on web but couldn't find reasonable answers.
Thx for help

Hi,
Does anyone already have a solution? This is the only, but big drawback that I have with my Qtek 9000.
Thanks,

Does that allow you to receive faxes to your device?
It doesn't work
Hi,
I tried that software, but it's only to view fax files, it does not allow to send or receive faxes.
i'll keep looking for a working alternative.
Thanks,

Hi
I found this one on a Yahoo Group:
http://www.samtechnc.com/eng/introduction/mfax_intro.htm
It should work on my Qtek 9000, but i was not able to try, because i don't have enough skills for that.
Maybe someone here can try and post their experiences
Mfax is for PocketPC 2003. I asked them when they may make it available for WM5 and got the following reply;
"Right now we do not know if and when we will be able to support Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phones with our software.
The problem is that the modem i.e. network manufacturer (Qualcomm with their CDMA network) is not supporting fax class 1 or 2 in their system. Therefore we are not able to support the WM 5.0 Pocket PC Phones (or the CDMA based WM 2003 Pocket PC Phones). Furthermore HTC is - due to the lack of support from Qualcomm - not able to support us either.
So we are stuck in the middle. As long as Qualcomm doesn't set a higher
priority to the fax class support within their network (modem) we can do
nothing about this issue.
As soon as they would change this issue we would immediately be able to
support WM 5.0 Pocket PC Phones as well as CDMA phones using their network.
Frankly, I do not think that this issue will be solved soon. Faxing is still
seen as not important by the big companies (which I certainly do not agree, but we do not have a lobby or a direct contact person at Qualcomm, who has the power to change this)."
Maybe we should start lobbying Qualcomm.
We are MFaxCE's developer
We are the developer of MFaxCE. Actually, we have already ported our MFaxCE to WM5.0 successfully, but we found that HTC have changed a lot or haven't open the port for fax on WM5.0 device, we still fail to send/receive fax on WM5.0 right now.
However we are working with some manufacturer who is willing to modify their driver to make our MFaxCE capable of fax on their WM5.0 device. And we are also looking forward that HTC can do some modification or disclose some information to us, so that we can make MFaxCE compatiable with all the HTC WM5 device.
We will keep you posted about any news in the future!

any news ?
Hi, I'm using tapi on a iMate 2003 jam phone and I've run into several features not being supported by that tsp, such as voice mail, wav files over the line, radio signal, etc.. . I'm trying to find a good phone with a good tsp to go forward with my development and was hoping a developer here would have thoughts on which phones had the best tsp. I don't care if it's mobile 2003 or 2005.
Does anyone know of a way to find this information out without having to buy a phone and try it?
Thanks for any help
I was using the Fring VOIP software to talk to my friends in GoogleTalk! and Skype. Fring is a unified interface for both and it worked good on my EDGE connection. Now that I have ordered for a 8125 , I want to have a similar setup in it also.
I heard that with some difficulty, you can make skype work. But what about the Google Talk! VOIP?.
Is there any Client Software which allows to do it in Windows Mobile Platform? ( Like Fring ).
Thanks.
_Vinod
unfortunately, i learned that Fring will not be supported on windows Mobile platform. Its Only for Nokia N-series. It is unfortunate that such a unique software not available for a popular & powerful platform like wm5.
If anyone knows how to do voip calls to Google Talk! buddies from wm5 phone
without a desktop proxy etc.. please let me know.
The Ultimate VOIP for WinMo 6.1 Devices?? Anyone?

I am fully interested in VOIP for my WinMo device also (AT&T Tilt)
ROM: dutty's WM6.1 WWE
Radio: 1.65.14.06
Protocol Version: 25.81.40.02H
Did antone find out about Google Talk or is there another thread on using it for VOIP? Can you call landlines and/or are there any restrictions to using it like having to pay for usage etc. From what I understand using skype requires credits but wasn't sure.
Also any comments on switching from 3G to WIFI automatically and or battery drainage. Has anyone found the ultimate third party VOIP software yet for WinMo is my most immediate and pressing question.

Hello
After searching Google and Forums like this, i still have a problem.
I have a XDA Guide (HTC-Iolite) with german O2 branding, but I want to use Blackberry Connect with german t-mobile blackberry enterprise service.
Is there anybody out there who can help??
regards
cheesy
I remember that in 2007 RIM promised to introduce Virtual Blackberry before the end of the year. Ment to support Windows Mobile.
All I found was this here but if you do not succeed, maybe you can also post on Blackberry user forums like this one.
Thanks for reply.
I knew this sites, but my problem is, there is no offical way to use "blackberry connect" on my Iolite. I think this problem depends on many htc smartphones. But I know, there are solutions for other models, but they are not funktional on my Iolite.
