Hi
Well sometimes we PPC Phone owners have voice mail, and appear on the top of the screen an icon (all style band stuff) with on the bottom notification. Ok so my problems are
1) When I click on notification I dial my voicemail, can listen to my message...l but once done, Notification icon on the top and bottom of the screen still stays !!!! Even if I clear any messages with another mobile phone.
2) My keyboard has 0 effects on my voice mail guidance, they ask me to push 1... but NOTHING...
As anyone have the same problems?

Just noticed this morning, when in landscape mode, I had a speech bubble in the topbar of the screen, presumably telling me I had a voice mail.
However when in portrate mode this is not visible therefor I didn't know I had the message.
Is there anyway to enable this? (I have no extra software on my O2 mini s).
Thanks in advance.
i think speech bubble means that you have more than 1 notification, not necessarily voice message.
unlike orange O2 doesn't give the tape symbol for voice messages just a txt alert, which is a pain.
I believe the tape message is most likely a custom SMS message. Does anyone know what the syntax is for turning this notification icon on and off via message?
Remove tape indication
I have a problem with removing the tape icon from the screen. Vodafone sends an SMS message to me (adressed to "03") which supposedly should remove the voicemail tape-icon after hearing the message (which works on a Nokia phone). Unfortunately it does not work on the Wizard.
Anyone a solution?
Hello,
does anyone know how to turn off the display-notifications for SMS and E-Mail? Under settings I've already turnd off "Show Message" but when I get a mail, I get a notification "you've got x new unread mails"... so everytime I turn on my phone, I'ce to press "Show" and "Dismiss"... I hat it! ;-)
settings-sounds and notifications

pick the notifications in question
unlick the checkbox called
display message on screen

as wrote in my post, I've already done that... but that means only to not show the message directy, when it arives. I've already unlick that checkbox, but there is still an notification on the screen when i get a mail, which says "you have x unread messages"... from there you can "dismiss" or "show"...
Wow, i had that question in my mind, answer came before the question. Thanks rudegar.

Call your service provider (AT&T, etc.) and tell them about the notification problem. Provide info...they can fix for you from their end. I had the notification problem when after listening to voicemail, the word and icon remained on my device.

I don't think, that my provider can help, because I use Direct Push, which communicates directly with our own Exchange-Server... my provider provides only the possibility to connect to the internet. It must be a hidden setting in WM-registry or something like that

OK, sorry 'bout that. I have direct push mail available, but don't use it because of what you're experiencing right now. I just go on the internet to check and read my mail. I'm not all that familiar with direct push; don't really know how it works.
For those still looking for the answer for this; the only way to turn this off when using Push mail is by setting the following registry value:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
set value "Options" to 20000000 (hexadecimal) or 536870912 (decimal)
Note that this disables email notifications completely, so if you want just a sound or a vibe, you'll have to use some other tool (e.g. MortScript) to achieve that.
i found this on another site.It may help you..
1. Install a registry editor like Resco File Explorer’s add-on registry editor or PHM registry editor.
2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER
3. Tap control panel>notifications
4. Tap default
5. Tap options
6. Choose what value will be applicable to you and replace the default number with it (for XDA Atom, the number was 13, I replaced it with 8 to suit my preference):
0 show icon
1 show icon and play notification sound
2 show icon and vibration
3 show icon and vibration and play notification sound
4 same as 0
5 same as 1
6 same as 3
7 same as 3
8 show icon and notification bubble
9 show icon and play notification sound and show notification bubble
10 show icon and notification bubble and vibration
7. If you want to configure how long the notification bubble will stay on the screen, tap on duration instead of options. Change the number there into the number of seconds you want the notification bubble to stay up.
I've created a CAB that does the following changes, however SMS notification is still working (which is ok for me).
Code:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
set value "Options" to 20000000 (hexadecimal) or 536870912 (decimal)
OK, guys, I managed to switch off the annoying visual notifications for missed calls and SMS by setting the 536870912 value for "Options". But there's a problem - I cannot get any sound notification for new SMS Is there anyway to get sound/vibration with all other visual notifications turned off? Please tell me "yes"
Has anyone found a solution in the meantime? I'm still searching for a way to disable the "visual notification" without loosing the new-email-sound.
JR...AWESOME JOB ! Thank you so so so so much for sharing this cab file....I am so happy I didn't have to go into the registry to make the change !!!!
So I kinda had the same question. I'm using s2u2 but I don't like the notification popping up when its activated. The whole screen turns black except for the notification bubble, which kinda defeats the purpose of using s2u2. I have disabled all but the downloaded mms notification cuz is greyed out on my device? Is this normal on everyones device? I don't wanna lose sounds, I just want the bubble gone
Would be great to have this, especially with S2U2 and PocketCM.. Is there still no way?
Hi,
I'm looking for a program that sits in the system tray connected to my XDA. So if I receive a message, or a phone call it displays a popup on my screen. And if I miss a call, it shows this on the popup. I'd like something like the message popup you get with outlook where it displays the message for a few seconds before fading away.
Does anyone know if something like this exists?
Jeyo Mobile Companion is for this. It can backup your data too. visit www.jeyo.com
Sorry but this doesnt quiet do what I want.
I just want a system tray application notifier which alerts me to texts / emails / phone calls through a nice popup that fades away after x amount seconds - but leave maybe a counter in the systray of texts / missed calls etc.
How about a lo-tech solution?
If you have a desktop cradle, just move this so that the top of the trinity is just near the bottom corner of the screen. So now, when you get a call/text/reminder, you will see the orange light flashing
My blackstone won't display the tape-spool icon at the top of the screen when I have a voicemail waiting for me any more.
With a Tmobile sim it worked fine, now with an O2 sim it doesn't.
With O2 when a voicemail is left, on the TF3D home tab I get the extra 'call voicemail' button, just no indicator on the main start bar at the top.
Any ideas?
this is a setting within O2 system. You have to dial your voicemail and request how you would like to be notified of a voicemail
the options (IIRC) are
1) text message
2) call
3) icon
Ta TP, just found that setting. We'll see what happens.
I have a HTC HD2 and when the screen is locked, it shows a number 1 (identifying that i have a notification).
When i tap the notification icon, it drops down and shows me the voicemail icon - which means i should have a new voicemail message to listen to.
If i slide the voicemail icon, the phone goes straight to phone book, but when i call my voicemail - there are no new messages...
I have tried everything and i just cant get rid of this voicemail icon! I DO NOT want to do a hard reset.... Please let me know how to sort this out...
+1.
I'm too having this problem. Whenever there's a new email notification on the lock screen it always shows there are 2 messages, one being a voicemail.
I can't find a solution for this problem here on XDA (if anyone has a search string for me, please let me know )
I remember Nokias having ghost voicemail messages, these were reset by the mobile service provider, check with your network just in case.
Possible Solution...
I'm not an expert, but I kept noticing this problem as well (HTD2 on AT&T). Happens after a hard reset OR if AT&T updates their network or something (who knows).
Anyway, experimented and found if I left a message to my phone from another line right after a reset (when I was seeing the "ghost" voice mail notification), allowed the message to register on the HD2. Turn screen off then on. Slide VM notification. Dial VM. Check the messages and delete all (press 7 to delete). Exit VM with * key. And the ghost notification disappears. I will update if this works in the future.
Hope this helps someone.
No problems with HD2 and PocketShield

Some consumers reported ghost notifications on the Touch Pro 2. I don't know how they fixed them but I know they did. You may want to search those forums to see if the same solution can be used on the HD2. I think it should given that the operating software is pretty much the same.
any solution ?
i tried this but doesnt workhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7731861&postcount=10
