hi, how to checked hardware radio version?
Thx

BT 1.2
Guys
Not sure if BT version 1.2 will run on an XDA11i ? have read somewhere that it wont .
Mine is the 3900 version 1.0 as well and I would love to upgrade as well as I am having big problems with a BT GPS reciever and setting up a serial ( SSP) profile that stays .( each time I exit BT and go back the profile does not contain the SSP section ) ..
Astro1

This is really a good question, where is that 1.2 version? Is there another stack software version then the 1.0?

widcomm stack ... HELP

hey everyone
need help ...
whenever i install widcomm stack on my o2 mini and try to switch on the bluetooth it says " not enough driver memory "
what does it mean ??
my rom version is 1.03.00 WWE
radio version is 1.01.00
ext rom version is 1.03.166 WWE
Hi morphosin,
this means what it says: your (as well as every other) JAM hasn't enough memory (to load the widcom bluetooth driver). Sad but true: There's no known way to get this stack (with it's nice features and advantages over the MS stack) running on our little helpers. Maybe some day... [dream mode on]
HTH,

P.S.: If you use the search-function of this forum you'll get a lot of futher infos...

Please help ... a2DP on O2 Exec

hi all
I am totally new to all these ROM modifications.
I have just bought a SE HBH 970 and I have the O2 Exec.
I just realised that I am not able to stream music to my BT set on the current O2 ROM.
Went through the website and found that there is actually a way to enable A2DP on exec. Can someone very kindly explain to me how this can be done step by step?
I am quite lost. ... after searching thru web. ....
What do I need to download...
how do i do that etc etc.........
thanks
Jacky
What ROM are you currently running?
Thanks for the prompt response, Dave!
My device info:
ROM Version: 1.30.107 WWE
ROM Date: 04/11/06
Radio version : 1.09.00
Protocol Version : 42.42.P8
Ext ROM Version : 1.30.162WWE
Weird, I thought these ROMs were indeed A2DP-compliant...
Have you tried, once you've paired the HBH, to manually set the stereo profile for your hbh in the Bluetooth management applet ?
By long-tapping on the Sony Ericsson HBH 970 item in the Bluetooth device list, a menu pops up and there should be something that looks like "Stereo headset" or something like that.
do a search for a 'zoki a2dp' cab file, install it and youll have a2dp on your exec
The latest O2 ROM does not contain A2DP, shame to you, O2. What you can try is, flash your ROM with other provider like Qtek, i-mate and etc that are already enable A2DP on their ROM.
Alternative solution is to download Zoki A2DP, may help but I don't know about the result ( as I never try it before )
One experience though, I flashed my O2 exec with Qtek latest ROM, it does pick up the stereo Bluetooth Headset but I've got huge lag when playing music. Sometimes I managed to get it through but most of the time, it does not happily play my music. even I already applied A2DP patch, tried with several ROMs , disable all wireless signals, still got the same result.
Maybe it is just my case, Give it a try, good experience anyways
What's your radio ROM version ?

You just have to upgrade the radio!!
In order for the GPS to be activeted, "just" upgrade the radio - no need to upgrade the OS, if you do not have the need/wish for it.

Should work, from the details you have given.
Try to re-flash the radio - I have previously have had a need to re-flash the radio, because the first upgrade did not perform as expected. A subsequent re-flash solved my issue.

You can try manually setting up the GPS to COM9 and maximum baud!

Downgrading RADIO version in WM6

Can anyone help me? I'd like to downgrade the Radio version on my P3300. Due to a bluetooth problem in WM6 see thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353071, my carkit won't recognise my connection on the Artemis.
Maybe, by downgrading the Radio version to a WM5 version, I'd might solve the problem?!
Is there someone out there who can provide me a 'old' version?
Fred
Older radio-versions can be found here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_RadioUpgrades (listed from oldest to newest). Radio 02.98.90 works fine for me, I had some issues with 03.07.90 on battery use. You can just try it out, doesnt need a hard reset.
what are the radio upgrades good for anyways? i still dont know it.

Like in a Desktop PC you can run different Versions of OSs (Windows XP\Vista, Linux, Mac) and still change Firmware Versions of Hardware Components (Disk Drive, WLAN Chip, Soundcard) indipendently.
The Radio ROM Only affects the Radio Unit of a device, maybe affecting the battery duration time or increasing Call Quality or whatever has to do with the radio part of a phone. However it is independend from the OS.
if i try one of those radio upgrades, would it affect (for example) the SDHC patch i installed on my phone (P3300 wm6)?
any info page/link on what exactly each release of radio upgrades improves, and a how-to to install it?

how to know if my htc p3600 have gps

hello
i have htc p3600
how i can know if it have gps and works
my Rom version 1.17.415.3
Radio version 1.24.00.11
Protocol Version 32.57.7020.06H
ExtRom 1.17.415.103
i wating for help
I think all P3600 have the GPS chip but it needs to be enabled by ROM.
The first Radio ROM that has gps enabled is v1.38.xxx.
You have v1.24 and I advise you to install the latest Radio v1.56. On mine it increased the standby time from 3 days to 4 days and GSM calls seem to be more stable.
where can i get the v1.56?
