Hi guys,
How can I configure my Jam to display, on top of the screen, the confirm message for "sms sent"?
On my old Italian ROM there was... Now, with the WWE ROM I can't see it when I'm sending a text....
Are you running PhoneAlarm on your Magician by any chance??

I am trying to use O2 SMS Plus on my XDA Mini S but I am not getting very far.
The program installs alright, and when I start a 'chat' the SMS/chat message is sent fine but when I receive a reply it automatically opens in outlook and doesn't even update in O2 SMS Plus.
Anyone know whow to sort this? I am usuing verision 1.1 (04191205) on the new O2 AKU2 ROM

The trouble is that all my SMS are sent twice, once when i Tap "send" and always when i recieve a SMS. Someone told me it was a Bug with the O2 Rom, and fixed with latest Update, but i already run the newest O2 Rom...
I would flash the Dopod Rom, where evrything is fine ( i already tried ), but Transcriber is English then, and many German words are misunderstood...
Do you have any Ides ?
Can i install the German transcriber somehow ?

I used to get this problem on my Magician (O2 Xda II mini). I found that if I tapped on 'send' and then closed the messaging app, the OS sent the message but was unable to remove the copy from the Outbox. So the next time the mail app was opened, it found the message in the outbox and sent it. That's how you end up with two messages getting sent.
The only way to stop this is to wait until the 'message sent' notification is displayed after you send a text. This way you know that the OS has had time to clean up.
Seems silly I know, but I think it is just the way the OS works. I have not seen this yet on the Prophet but then maybe I have just trained myself to wait for the notification! :roll:

Someone told me that i can do two things to prevent Outlook from sending :
a) Wait 5 seconds until i get the notification "Message send"
b) Add /windows/tmail.exe to the exceptions in SPB Plus, so that Outlook (tmail.exe) is never closed, but always minimized.
Both work !
I have had this on every ROM that I have tried.... and as mentioned previously, I now just wait till "Message Sent" appears. I am using Wisbar Advance to close programs, which closes them totally down leaving the SMS in the Outbox therefore sending twice.

My psychic advisor is on vacation so I'm on my own trying to figure out what device you, have, what ROM you're running and what email client you're referring to...
All my PPC's indicate new email on the top menu bar. Any way that maybe you're speaking of Outlook on your PC?
With absolutely no background information from you I feel almost as lost as you ....

I'm using Outlook for Emails.
Everytime I get a new email, in the left down corner a litte message is popping up, saying, "New Messages" (In German: Hinweis: Neue Nachrichten) It only goes away by clicking on it.
how can I disable these messages?

It's under Settings, Notifications, Incoming messages. Untick the display message.

I disabled all notifications... and stil get this f****** notification.

Most odd! I have never seen an email notification in the lower left of my PPC, it's alway in the upper task bar. We need to know what 3rd party proggy's you're possibly running because I don't believe that I've ever experienced anything like you're reporting in any of my adventures nor heard mention of such a thing here.
Something's amiss here I'm sure!

I think I know what he means. When a new email arrives, you get the little envelop symbol in the top bar and the left softkey changes to "message". If you press that softkey or the touchscreen there, the content op the message pops-up. I think he wants to get rid of the softkey changing to "message". I have no idea how to do that. Hmmm, do I sound helpful or what?
I created two screenshots... hope it is absolutly clear then...
And once again it is Outlook!
I must have been having a blond senior moment.... A picture is indeed worth a thousand words!

Email notification no matter what
Same problem here. If I turn (for example) notification sound on, the setting has an effect and there's a sound when new mail arrives. But if I turn the "Display message on screen" off, no effect, I still get the message.

I'm a french TyTN user. I had an SFR v1605 until I flashed it with the last WM6 official ROM.
It works great but previously, when I was using the SFR ROM, I had a today plugin called "Vodafone Voicemail" which was very usefull. I don't really like SMS notification for voicemail.
I saw a lot of people on this forum trying to remove this today plugin but I just would like to get it back ! Maybe someone can provide this in a *.cab ? Or someone knows how to exctrate this plugin from the SFR ROM ?

On my (otherwise very nice) HTC dual touch every incoming sms appears for a little while on the today-screen.
Sometimes this can be both annoying and embarrassing... ;-)
How can this feature be turned off?

There should be an option under Start\Settings\Sounds & Notifications\Notifications([email protected])\Messaging: New Text Message(in the drop down). After you select that there will be an option on the screen "Display message on scree". Make sure that is unchecked and you should be good to go. If you unselect but are still getting the messages soft reset. That should do it.
